I’m a twenty-year-old something born in Montreal, Canada but currently living in Virginia for school. I would tell you want my major is however after two years I still have no idea what I’m doing.

So I’m a writer (duh that’s how you found me), movie enthusiast, and self-proclaimed chef. I love music even though I can’t sing or dance to save my life. (That doesn’t necessarily stop me but you’ve been warned.)

I started Ruthless People the summer of 2013 in hopes of giving myself a new type of love and crime drama. I never knew so many people thought like me! I feel truly blessed to have fans like you all! Writing is my true love and having you all enjoy my words is a dream come true.

★★★★★! Childstar, book 3 of 3. Hollywood bad boy & American good girl sizzle up the big screen while chasing away demons & villains!

Books in Childstar serial should be read in order:
Book 1: Childstar 1
Book 2: Childstar 2
Book 3: Childstar 3

In Childstar, part 1-2 former child stars, head of a branding empire with a fizzling career, Amelia London and former teen heartthrob and Hollywood bad boy recently out of drug rehab, Noah Sloan were cast opposite each other in a big budget erotic suspense movie.

Both with long lists of successes; awards, fame and fortune grew up together in front of the camera and in their teen years had an affair that ended with scandal. Back together on set they are forced to deal with, past pain, disappointments and hostility while fighting hard not to rekindle what once dominated the tabloids.

Childstar, part 3 opens up to part 2’s shocking ending. The truths they have shared must be kept form the public as the frantically race against time to cover their tracks and deal with villains while attracting the attention of the Chicago mob….

 photo cs1 H BS by sb_zpssjgshra7.gif

Nine words to describe Noah Sloan: Complex, loyal, jaded, broken, private, possessive, matured, patient and protective.

photo cs2 he BS by sb_zpstutfucb0.gif

Nine words to describe Amelia London: Sweet, determined, resilient, vulnerable, naive, fearless, nurturing, strong and loyal.

Childstar, part 3, told from dual POVs, is a tumultuous and suspenseful conclusion to a blockbuster saga sure to render awards. It ends on a high with two epilogues well into the future just like the best of Hollywood endings.

Intriguing plot! Effortless story-telling! Swoon-worthy Noah Sloan! Compelling heroine!

“What can I say? I grew up and changed the rating of my life.”

Childstar 3 concludes Amelia London and Noah Sloan’s epic childstar into Hollywood star love story. This story is so much more than a romance. It’s got lots of suspense, drama and steam! What I loved most was that it was completely unpredictable. I can say with certainty that most of what happened I didn’t see coming.

The story starts with flashbacks. Looking into Noah’s past gives us so much insight to why he is the way he is and the relationship (or lack there of) he has with his dad and brother. I don’t want to go into detail about whats going on, because it’s something you’re going to want to watch unravel all on your own.

 photo 41818FA4-F39B-4642-89B3-5BF7DAD1C364_zpsimtzahzi.jpg
“I couldn’t do much, but I could protect you.”

“You protect me. Then who protects you?”

“You do.”

Amelia and Noah’s relationship is solid. Amidst all the chaos, they have each others back. Amelia is strong and determined. She loves Noah fiercely and would do anything to protect him- even putting her self at a big risk. I adored Noah even more in this installment. That interview he did, it was refreshing getting to see that real and raw side of him. Noah had to make some tough choices in this last installment. The decisions he made were difficult but necessary and I respected him all the more.
“Everyone is ruthless. They just don’t know it until they need to. It is that simple.”

Childstar 3 kept my heart pounding, made me anxious and left me on the edge of my seat. It was steamy, swoony, and after all that drama, angst and heartache- that ending was perfect. I have truly enjoyed every part of this serial romance. Watching these child stars change and grow, seeing the love between them, knowing the hard choices they made to get to the place they are now was fantastic. The unique story line, characters and writing was all spot on.

5 change the rating of your lives stars!

In the final instalment, we see Noah and Amelia after the shooting of the movie and on the road to the premiere. They have interviews and other obligations that celebrities must follow, but they also try to manage their relationship. They're now standing together, especially after what happened at the end of book2.

That action though, brought others and what's going on in this book is like a domino effect. One action brings another and our protagonists are now in trouble and they'll try anything to get out of it. The question is will they manage this or they'll be casualties?

Childstar had it all, humor, emotion, steamy hot scenes, suspense & action. It's one of the books that took me by surprise and it was my first contact with this author's writing. I'm definitely very eager to meet the Callahans, especially after meeting them in this one. I'm so curious about those characters.

Overall, I really loved this series, all three of them make a story with excellent writing that was quite enjoyable and I would recommend this to anyone. Grab and read it, guys!

What A Ride!

In this third, and final, installment in the 'Child Star' series, we finally see Noah and Amelia escape their swindling parents permanently. I won't get into exactly how everything happens, because you need to experience it for yourself. But, trust me...it's good!

As with the other 'Child Star' serials, this one is fast-paced and attention-grabbing. I continue to be amazed with this author's ability to pack so much meaningful content into so few pages, without making the story feel rushed or forced. Yet, she continues to do exactly that.

This time around, there is plenty of action as everything comes to a head. The Callahans were also more prominent figures in this part of the story, which was nice. I always like to have my favorite characters come back to "visit".

Despite the heavier focus on action and suspense, there was plenty of sweet and soft material as well. This book provided a little bit of everything, bringing this quick series to a close with a satisfying conclusion.

5 "Be Happy" Stars!

 photo Childstar - J. J. McAvoy_zpsplelbmjy.png

As always, J. J. McAvoy does not dissapoint! An amazing and always different from the others love story!

As some of you may know I tend to wait when reading a series because I do not like to wait LOL I was so excited about this serial novel but I waited until I got the three parts. So this review will be about not only this book but the other two parts of Childstar. McAvoy has become one of my favourite authors and, as I said, this was awesome!

Childstar is divided into three parts (or now you can find it as a full novel) and it tells the story of two Hollywood celebrities that started their careers at a very young age. These two are: Noah Sloan (a.k.a Hollywood's Bad Boy and a man with a difficult family situation) and Amelia London (America's sweetheart, a woman who is where she is because of her mother -or that is what she says..- and also, and most importantly, Noah's first lover).

Noah and Amelia worked together when they were younger and they fell in love. After some time, they break up (you'll see why) and now, years after, the destiny puts them together again. Now they are older and they have to work together in an erotic thriller film (Sinners Like Us) and obviosuly, they discover they never stopped loving each other.

My first kiss? Noah.
My first time? Noah.
My first heartbreak? Noah.

I love this author's writing. She is amazing in her own style and McAvoy always has surprises and things that you do not expect. The first two parts have cliffhanger endings and let me tell you, it was pretty fucked up! Still, not as the Ruthless People series but still fantastic in its own.

The main couple in Childstar, of course, have amazing chemistry. J. J. gives her readers awesome angst moments, sweet moments, suspensful moments and, obviosuly, smokin' hot moments. These two are so hot for each other and they like it kinky sometimes ;) It's beatiful to read about their past together and also the new present situtions they have. Just saying that I would love to watch Sinners Like Us LOL It has some pretty good scenes, yeeeeeeeees!

“I wish I could see your face. You’re sexy when you’re jealous.”
“I’m always sexy, baby,” he retorted.
“And cocky.”
“Yeah, I’ve got one of those, too.”

“Take the next one. I’m planning on passionately making out with her until we get to the bottom,” I said, pressing the button to close the doors on their baffled faces.
“Do I have a say in this?” Amelia asked.
“No,” I replied, spinning her toward me, my lips covering hers.

What I also enjoyed is that we are able to have some moments of Liam, Mel and Ethan (from the Ruthless People series), always good to read about them! And 'thanks' to that, we are able to see darker sides in both Noah and Amelia. They will do anything to be together and they are not afraid to do it: they have to face a lot of obstacles but at the end, they have their happy ending!

"We all make choices, and I made mine a long time ago. You. Beginning. End. It is always you."

Rough.
Passionate.
Sinful.
I craved it all.
I craved Noah Sloan to the point of addiction.

Therefore, my rating for the whole series is 5 STARS. It was an amazing journey to get to know a different couple, a couple who live in the Hollywood world and they have to face a lot of bad situations to keep being together. I am sure if you have read anything by J. J. McAvoy you will enjoy this as well, so give it a try, you will not regret it! :)

"There's no going back..."

This third and final installment in the series packed quite the punch! Ameilia London and Noah Sloan find themselves indebted to some bad people while trying to figure out what to do about his father and her mother.

The filming of Sinners Like Us is almost completed and the two stars of the film are stronger and closer than ever. All the secrets that held them apart have come to the light and the two are moving forward together. Sadly for them the road isn't smooth sailing as they face a ton of danger in all sorts of crazy forms.

“I couldn’t do much, but I could protect you.”

“You protect me. Then who protects you?”

“You do.”

In the end, all threats are extinguished and these two former child stars come into their own. The author keeps a reader glued to the action, with the addition of steam and our couple goes on to wow audiences with their erotic film debut and their Hollywood relationship!

”The road here was painful but I couldn’t imagine beginning anywhere else.”

Recommend for friends who want a completed, fast paced, quick read.

~5 Stunning Stars~

"We were kids. The whole world was watching us. We couldn't breathe. We were trying to grow up, deal with the media, expand our careers, and hold on to each other."-Noah

description

Childstar 3 is the third novella in the Childstar Trilogy and it was a non stop action packed read full of passion and desire! Every question is answered and the stakes are high as Amelia and Noah hold on tight to each other. In fact, Noah holds her so tight that sometimes she gets bruises! (Some might not be into the tough love thing...I just think YUMMY!)

description

"In the mirror, I could see light bruises, marks from his hands, that I was sure would look worse in the morning. However, I took them with pride."-Amelia

Childstar 3 picks up as the aftermath of Childstar 2 is beginning to settle! Noah and Amelia have a mess on their hands. Despite the turmoil surrounding them, they both recognize the importance of staying strong together. Even when everything is burning up in flames around them, these two refuse to give up.

description

Amelia and Noah must continue to film the movie, cover up their mistakes and continue to maintain an unblemished reputation in the press. With every step forward they take, the demons of their past are constantly dragging them two steps back.

description

In addition to the rising tension in the plot, the secondary characters begin to play a more prominent role. I relish every second of Ms. McAvoy's writing. As Noah and Amelia are both evolving as a couple, we see them transform into strong individuals who will do anything to protect their love for each other.

description

"My mouth dropped open from the sheer pleasure of it. He waited only for a second, if that, before pulling out and burying himself again, even deeper, over and over again."-Amelia

Told in dual POV, Childstar 3 was a perfect ending to this trilogy. The dialogue is rich with texture, the action scenes are intense, and the sexual escapades between Noah and Amelia only get hotter with each book! When reading Childstar 3, I experienced every emotion of the spectrum. I felt transported to another world in which, I never wanted to leave! This series has a unique plot, well developed characters, and a perfect story arc. I especially loved the epilogue! Nothing is better than walking away from Noah and Amelia with a huge smile on your face!

description

"My dream? The both of us, married, kids of our own, still acting. It was all possible~ after we healed from this."-Noah

description

"What can I say? I grew up and changed the rating of my life."-Amelia

Overall, Childstar 3 is a must read! I simply cannot rave enough about this series. Everyone needs to meet Noah and Amelia now! Get your kindle ready because this is one series you do not want to miss!

This series ended up being so much more than I expected when I started it. I thought I was getting a simple enemies to lovers story but as it progressed it got grittier and more exciting.

Aside from the epilogue that was cheesier than a block of stilton, I loved this.

With each new installment, J.J. McAvoy continue to surrprise me. When I first started Childstar I I didn't for a second expect the kind of story I read.
In my mind, Childstar was like a TV show and each installment represent an episode. The plot behind our couple evolves along with each part and the big final was like a season finale.

description

Childstar part III was my favorite part. We get to see the different side of Noah and Amelia. If you have a doubt those two loved each other, it's simply impossible to miss here. Noah wants to protect Amelia at all while she wants to do the same.

Once again, fans of Liam & Melody are rewarded with their appearances. Just so you know they haven't changed, they are even better!
To those who haven't read the Ruthless people series, I'm sure with what you've read here you want to know more ^^

I don't have a quote for you because I was so wrapped up in my read I just kept reading until the last page. Now I'm impatient to see what J.J has in store for us next

Do you ever finish a series and think- Wow, the author did it!! She finished the story and then gave you an epilogue that just made you smile for days. Thank you JJ McAvoy!!!

ChildStar 3 picks up right where Childstar 2 ends. Noah and Amelia are 100% committed to one another. Watching their relationship develop thru the books was endearing. Watching them realize that no matter what the odds, they will always each other's back. They have his father and her mother to deal with in this book. We are able to see more of their past and the trials and tribulations they had to endure while growing up. The story has twists and turns, it's gritty, it's sexy, it's heartfelt, and there is never a dull moment. There were a few moments that were a little over the top but in true JJ fashion; she makes me love every minute of the wild ride.

You can't have a Chicago story and not have the Callahan's be somewhat involved. I won't tell you how but Liam and Melody made appearances and I must say they stole the scenes. They can't help it, it's just who they are!!

So in closing, this series has a little bit of everything. There is sex and romance, there is cover-ups and corruption, there is drama and revelations, there is The Callahan's, there is the sexy movie they are filming but most of all it is the love story of Noah Sloan and Amelia London and how they found their way back to one another.

I have been on the edge of my seat reading this series. I love a good serial that leaves me breathless and on the edge of my seat. JJ definitely delivered on this series. From the first word to the epilogue I couldn’t put this story down.

Noah and Amelia are committed to each other, but their pasts refuse to stay in the past. I absolutely love they stayed committed to each other and always thought about the other. They were completely selfless in their love and while this is more than a love story, I loved that about their connection. I also loved how their love for each other was unconditional.

As I said this story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I had complete faith in JJ’s ability to deliver a story that was thought out, unique and suspenseful but I was still surprised by the outcome and events as they unfolded. I loved the ending and epilogue was absolute perfection.

I cannot recommend this series enough. If you love suspenseful and sexy stories this story is for you!

Childstar Part #3 certainly surprised me!!! Did I ever think it would go this way??? Never!!

How are Noah and Amelia going to cope after the tragedy at the end of the last chapter? The situation both find themselves in after Amelia’s unpremeditated killing her most awful mother, leaves them having to come up with a solution to keep Amelia from being charged with the murder and the possibility of going to prison.

A time where their love for each other will be tested…….but after everything they have faced together in the past, they know that nothing will stand in their way to being with each other.

I never imagined that Amelia and Noah had it in them to take on the things they did to straighten out the people who threatened their happiness together…but as they say…
“Everyone is ruthless. They just don’t know it until they need to. It is that simple.”
They will not give up even when things explode around them……
Hollywood red carpet, movie premieres, Chicago mafia and gangsters, family betrayals, greed, loss, love, romance, suspense……what a rollercoaster ride to this final installment of Noah and Amelia.

And what a beyond fabulous epilogue!!! Worth reading everything before we get to it!

I didn't exactly get teary eyed with the things that happened in this final chapter of Childstar. But the things that is always a guarantee when I read J. J. McAvoy is she know how to surprise and shock the hell out of me.

After another huge bomb from the end of Childstar 2, Noah and Amelia is in deeper shithole than before. How are they going cover up this mess and still appear unaffected in the public?

This time around we got to met Noah's brother, Bo. And of course, the best cameo ever would be non other than The Callahans. Is great to see Liam and Melody Callahan again, plotting others death, while playing with their son and eating steak.

Noah might just need to make a deal with the devil or sell his fucking soul in order to keep Amelia safe forever.

For those who have not meet the Callahan from Ruthless People trilogy, you don't know what you are missing, especially if you into the whole violence crime and suspenseful plot and not afraid of rooting for the bad guys.

Spoilerish rant.

I just finished the last instalment of the Childstar serial and I already miss Amelia and Noah...

description

I was so used to getting them every week and when I got to the end I kept wishing there was more.

I also loved the fact that Liam and Mel paid us a visit (ruthless as always) and in a very twisted way helped Noah and Amelia. And because of the way things ended I can only hope that this isn't the last that we'll see of this two couples (there was also an opening for a new story that I felt it was developing in the prior part but I'm not going into spoilers :P)

There isn't much left to say because I guarantee you that once you get your hand on the first instalment of this series you will not stop until you get to this one.

The road here was painful, but I couldn’t imagine beginning anywhere else.

Childstar 3 is the final conclusion in Amelia & Noah’s, unreasonable, undeniable, borderline obsessive love affair. Two people whose had the cards stacked high against them, they had no choice but to pay the game just as ruthless as they’ve been treated. All they want is peace, a chance to live, and a chance at a happy-ever-after, just the two of them, nothing more, nothing less…. so why was it all so hard, so messy. A twisted, roller coaster of a ride, that will leave you rooting for The good, the bad, the ugly, and the unspeakable. Ruthless world meets Hollywood, so you are in for a real treat!

It was a unique story. There was a lot of craziness, drama, suspense, and a second chance romance in this book. And what I loved most was that it was completely unpredictable.

A fantastic conclusion of Amelia and Noah's journey. I'm actually a bit sad that it's over but who knows, maybe we get to see them again someday.

I'm simply blown away by J.J. McAvoy's writing. She always comes up with amazing plots and characters, it's really a joy reading her works and this time was no exception.

What I loved the most about this whole story is that I could really relate to both main characters and empathize with their difficult situations. My gosh, they just couldn't get a break from all the craziness that surrounded them on a daily basis. Not to mention that their lives as celebrities were hard enough, no, add to that kidnapping, murder, near rape, deceit, dealings with mafia and many more, well...let's just say I'm happy they're still sane.

I loved Noah and Amelia as a couple. They always believed, truly loved and cared for each other and nothing and no one could tear them apart. In the end they were a power couple to be reckoned with. They actually reminded me of Liam and Malory, that we btw. got to see again, yay!

The only sad part that really touched me was what happened to their manager, Austin. I wish it didn't but then again, those are the moments that make a book not just a good but a great one. That being said, I was so glad with what happened to Noah's father and brother, they deserved even worse!

Also for the safety-gang readers this part is completely safe.

Overall, all I can say is read the book, you won't regret it. :)

Safety-gang for the whole story (from part one to three):

✯✯✯1/2 Stars

‘Even after all of these years, Amelia London was still my kryptonite, and she still didn’t know it.’

Well *shakes heads* that was….different…unexpected…entertaining, off the rails and all kinds of mad and we did enjoy it.

We’ve come to expect a gripping and engrossing read when we pick up a J J McAvoy book and we can’t complain about the entertainment factor of this story even if we were left wondering “what the hell is going on?” a few times because this was one crazy ride.

“The only love that last in Hollywood is the one we fake and sell to others.”

First up we have to admit that we’re not huge fans of serials and feel the lull between books sometimes has a tendency to break the momentum of the story and so we don’t pick them up all that often, most times preferring instead to read the book in its entirety. We do feel Child Star suffered in that way for us and think readers will benefit more by reading Noah and Amelia’s story in its totality when Child Star The complete novel releases on 24th November as we felt by breaking up the books, the story lost its cohesiveness and impacted on our enjoyment by being a little disjointed in places.

‘All of my best memories were of him…of us.’

That being said, J J McAvoy certainly did weave one rollercoaster ride here. What we thought going to be one thing turned out to be something else entirely. There were parts we loved and parts that left us a bit flummoxed. There was definitely a lot to take in because there was a hell of a lot going on.

The first book was a terrific start to this series and reiterated why JJ McAvoy has established herself as one of our favourite authors, she never fails to hook us in with her characters and the stories she tells.

‘I loved him to the point of idiocy.’

We do love a good Hollywood romance and especially one that loaded with love/hate passion, secrets, lies and sexual chemistry that steams up the pages and Child Star certainly had that and a LOT more but for us the extras didn’t always work and at times became a bit farcical.

The comparisons can certainly be drawn between this book and Fifty but we found that aspect quite amusing, at times it felt like a dark satirical look behind the scenes of film making which was quite intriguing.

Noah ‘the ego has landed’ Sloan was quite the diverse character, displaying a moody arrogance that made him appear an egotistical cock but that outward persona masked something very deep in this man. Noah may have come across as an arrogant arse but boy was he vulnerable underneath it all. The success and wealth he enjoys belies the secrets and pain he hides beneath the surface and we adored this character as we did Amelia.

“I think the reason we all love Damon and Blair is because we relate to them. After all, there is a sinner in all of us.”

Noah and Amelia share a past that stemmed from acting in the same show as children. They struck up a friendship, moved through adolescence and began a relationship that ended very badly. Both bear scars, regrets and animosity towards one another from that time, so when they are cast in the same steamy movie together, a movie based on an intense relationship and a bestselling book…..well, how do they put their past behind them and complete this movie and sidestep ALL the obstacles in their way?

‘The director said he wanted this to be tasteful, that it wasn’t pornography. But that just proved how naïve he was. Did he think I could tie her up, punish her, kiss her, and suck every inch of her and make that look tasteful?’

Child Star was like reading a fanfiction of a fanfiction. We were always kept on our toes but we did feel the chaos surrounding Noah and Amelia tended to distract from their relationship and the Hollywood vibe we had hoped to experience from this story wasn’t always apparent. We couldn’t even begin to tell you what this story is about…it’s suspense, it’s passion, it’s heat, it’s intrigue and it’ second chance romance all rolled into one exhausting, engrossing and insane trip! So hop on if you dare!

‘My first kiss? Noah. My first time? Noah. My first heartbreak? Noah.’

One thing we do need to address is the editing, or should we say, lack of in J J McAvoy’s books. We’ve been with this author since the beginning, we’re HUGE fans and devour every word she writes and have given feedback about this issue both personally and in our reviews yet the editing in Child Star was once again terrible. We can accept the odd grammatical error here and there but having to go back and re-read passages to decipher what the author is trying to say has become tiresome and annoying and completely takes us out of the moment which is a crying shame because J J McAvoy is a brilliant storyteller yet the poor editing continually lets her and her readers down.

We truly hope its something that will be taken into consideration as we receive a lot of reader feedback telling us if it wasn’t for this author’s genuine and brilliant talent they would have given up on her books by now. We would hate for JJ to lose readers and feel the editing issue can no longer be ignored. The day will come when patience runs too thin.

Contain Spoilers!!

well I enjoyed this one the best:) I loved both Noah and Ameila. Noah started off a jerk and even though I would of liked him to grovel more I understtod why he did what he did in when they were younger. He was really young and stupid.lol Besides that he was a mess! those ten years yes he had women but he was miserable and not good for h back then and felt like being away from heer was best for her.I felt for them. they couldn't catch a break. being childstars wasnt/isnt easy. Frank and Bo and her mom got what they deserved! Oh Austin that was so sad:'( . I wish it didn't happen:( some things for me were unanswered like what happened to Oliver? ameilas friend who was a hacker? why didn't Noah tell ameila about the non cheating? I really wanted him to tell her . aside from that I enjoyed this. and aside from the ow scene in book one and the naked sex scenes they do(which I didnt like )in front of director and small crew in book 2 . Action, mafia, murder, sex, love! Epilogue was great!!
safety: this one was totally safe. book 1 and book 2 see my reviews.

DNF! I hardly ever DNF and I'm no grammar nazi but when a book is so riddled with errors it becomes a distraction it irritates me...a lot. Especially when a simple spelling/grammar check in Word would have corrected a lot of it. If an author cannot be bothered to proof read their work then I cannot be bothered to read it.

This is prevalent throughout this authors books so I'm sorry, I tap out.
