Carter Quinn was born and raised in a very small Western Kansas town where cattle vastly outnumber humans. In the 90s he read enough depressing gay fiction to give up on it. He discovered M/M in 2010 and started writing again. Now he's told Corporate America to kiss his books. Carter recently left the Denver area, meaning he is entirely too far from his beloved Colorado Avalanche.

Sweet, poignant little novella from Carter, which is really a love letter to his much beloved deceased dog. Tissues are required, which he'd already warned me about. 4 stars from me.

An Endearing Story- Carter We Miss You!

I have read this story many times. It is sweet, I cry every time and I can't wait to read it again. Through all the ups and downs in this short story, the thing that remains true is the love in the relationships. Family, friends, pets, partners, all the relationships are so strong and hopeful. It's the love and positivity that we sorely need right now. I hope you will read this or any of the other wonderful books Carter Quinn has written and then go to his Twitter to share the love and encourage him to keep writing. The world is a better place when he is writing!

This short story packs a big whollap... ugly crying, tissues, the whole bit. The time jumped around a bit with flashbacks and there were a few times I had to double check that I'd read something correctly, but that didn't deter from the overall enjoyment of the story. It is a love story, though not necessarily a romance. A man and his dog first. A man and his lover second. But mostly a story about a man and love and I think that's all this story really needed.
