I read these book seaparatly at first and then found them as one book so I will leave my review here.

Elly and Kent .... what horrible people these two are. First as individuals and then as a couple. Kent at first was just young and dumb being 18 or 19. But to know that his BFF was in love with him and make her go on your dates with you was just wrong on so many levels. But then we have the h who was just tstl herself. Seriously the man you want continuously picks the other woman over you, YOU WALK AWAY. Not sit there for 10 years wishing and waiting. Yes she dated others but come on that was very unbelievable to me. Then the two kept shagging and snogging behind Kent's fiancee's back. Personally Jen had every reason to be jealous of their friendship. She may have been a horrible person but seriously I would bet money she was that way because there must of been some part of her that knew her boyfriend/ fiancee/ husband was not giving 100% to her. And for the marriage to last 10 years?? what happened to the baby she was supposedly pregnant with? In the book it does not say if she miscarried or she lied about being pregnant to keep her man, but it does mention unsuccessful tries later on.

This book just was not my cup of tea, between the cheating and the tstl h waiting around for this noncommittal H I was ready to DNF this book. But I preserved and was rewarded with more stupidity.

To me a romance is a book about the H and the h. These books / book was first about their Fake friendship (heroine's words from the book) and than later their cheating. About the H and his girlfriend/ fiancee/ wife and the h with various boyfriends ( who by the way ALL cheated on her) WHERE WAS THE ROMANCE you ask?? maybe it was at the bottom of the copious amount of bottles of alcohol that both the H and h drank through the book, maybe it was in the cars and bathrooms that the H and h snuck off to to snog and shag. Who knows cause I should did not read about it. All I read was about a H was was to selfish and cowardly to stick up for himself and a h who had no spine. But supposedly he has loved her since the beginning. so dum dum H only took 10 plus years to figure this out. Good grief

Neither characters are main characters to me and they were just as equally horrible people to their mates.

I enjoyed having the complete story to read. It's a story about two teens who love each-other far more than just being best friends but are afraid the other doesn't want them that way, so they say NOTHING... I laughed, cried & plain just wanted to smack Kent upside the head and tell him to tell Elly how he felt (but that's how most young people are & she wouldn't fess up to her true feelings either) in addition they want to be seen with the pretty eye-candy no matter how miserable they TRUELY are :-( I am glad in the end they were able to hold on to their friendship & each-other.

I read these separately as ebooks but I'm just going to review it on here as one story. I really didn't know if I wanted to love or hate this couple. I was frustrated the whole time. I thought Kent was sweet most of the time but he did make huge mistakes that pissed me off. And Elly annoyed me most of the time. I don't think I actually liked the ending of this story. At first I felt bad for Elly but she just started doing things that made her look bad. I was invested enough to read all three parts but this series just made me frustrated and annoyed and emotional.

Book 1 was good. Book 2 was a bit slack Book 3 was very, very poor. Shame I would have preferred just more of book 1. Not the best of writing, idea wore out too quick, characters were interesting in book 1 then a little boring from book 2 :(

Great read

From the very beginning of this I was hooked. I made it thru all 3 books in no time. It was relatable, funny, sexy, and emotionally good.

Let's talk about it. I devoured this series. I could not bear to do anything else until I finished it. As a HEA book, we know it's going to get there eventually but this journey was quite the rollercoaster in the dark. I would definitely recommend it if you enjoying books that allow you to *squee* with both happiness and anger (Maddox series)

Spoiler:

(I had to subtract one star because I really wanted Elly to have had at least one serious relationship over the span between books 2-3)

This story is a rollercoaster love story. I find their friendship is amazing but their love is toxic, and poorly timed. Thankfully it does get better, and finally, finally they are together as they should have from the get go.

Sometimes the things you don't say change your whole course. If they had just admitted their love they'd have had many more years together.

If you don't mind soap opera romance then you'll enjoy this. Otherwise it might make you mad like me.

The author wrote it well, as I found angry, sadness and laughter brought out by these characters and circumstances.
