Tess Oliver is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Custom Culture series and a large collection of other romances. She is well known for her relatable characters who "become your friends" as you journey with them and for intriguing stories that will have you "devouring her books in just one day". Tess has been featured on USA Today's 'Happy Ever After' site, and in publications including Glamour UK and Elle UK magazines.
STONE COLD BAD: Colt was just a sexy, tempting man, "you’re no burden. I’ll bet you’re not half as expensive to feed as Slade. And it’s kind of nice seeing a lacy bra hanging over the shower rod.” I stepped up behind her and brushed my fingers over the naked skin on her a**." He says the most romantic things, "I won’t effing stop until you come , baby. I can stay hard all night for you." He likes to surround his woman in silk lingerie, "uh, yeah, that’s got nothing to do with safety. That’s for me,” he said. I held up the sheer confection of lace and silk and laughed." I liked this book I loved the Stone brothers I'm eagerly looking forward to the next boo
HEART OF STONE: Hunter is seriously stupid at times, when he thinks he's doing the right thing with being honest it's just stupidity on his part, “Street, c’mon, you know this kind of ***t is going on. Why are you getting so bent out of shape about it?” Tears threatened but I blinked hard to keep them back. I pulled on my t-shirt. “You know you’re my ‘go to’ girl. You’re the one I always want.” After he got his stupidity worked out I quite enjoyed Hunter, I really like this series each brother has a different personality so it's always entertaining watching them together.
STONE DEEP: All the Stone boys have charm and charisma but Slade takes the cake, “that’s mostly because your dress was distracting me. It kept inching up as you were sleeping, making it impossible for me to get drowsy.” His compliments are really sexy, “I like the bikini.” He lifted his face and kissed me. “Now come inside so I can take it off." The Stone boys are all alpha men who fall hard when they meet the women they want. I love this series all the boys are sexy and great boys.
STONE COLD BAD (Stone Bros #1) Colt and Jade's story Jade is on the run from her very abusive boyfriend when he runs into a bar where Colt and his brothers are having a beer. Colt hides her from the men that are looking for her. He's instantly smitten with her!! She ends up taking off, and later they find her hiding. Colt finds himself feeling very protective of her. Not a feeling he's used to. I loved their chemistry and the heated scenes were nuclear! Definitely a story worth reading! HEART OF STONE (Stone Bros. #2) Hunter and Amy's story I really loved Hunter in this series!! He's the oldest and biggest of the Stones Bros., and he loves Amy (Street) like no other, he just can't admit it!! Getting frustrated with the way he treats her, Amy decides to start dating other men. Well that gets his attention. They have such great chemistry. Their heated scenes are off the charts and I couldn't get enough! Amy is a brutally honest person with no filter. She tells it like it is. I found her very entertaining and she really made this entire series a wonderful read!! STONE DEEP (Stone Bros. #3) Slade and Britton's Story Slade is the last Stone brother to find his HEA, and he's been relentlessly teasing Hunter and Cole for being obsessed with their women. The tables are now turned! Slade meets Britton under precarious circumstances and there's an instant attraction. Britton is looking for answers regarding the death of her twin sister and Slade decides her wants to help her. So the adventure begins. I loved their banter, he really had a funny sense of humor dealing out some one liners that made me snicker. I found the more I read about these brothers, the more I liked them. They had a terrible childhood but rose above it. This series is a definite must read in my opinion!
A new author and a 3 for 1 book deal---READER'S HEAVEN!
Nothing brings up Christmas in July vibes for me as coming across an ad for a new to me author with a deal on a boxset of novels in my "guilty pleasure" genre -‐ blue collar bad boys romance. Tess Oliver and Anna Hart's Stone Brothers boxset was that kind of find. I devoured these three novels about Colt, Hunter, and Slade Stone. I know some critics have a lot to say about glamorizing crime, poverty, and questionable morality like they say bad boy romance does. However, I read fiction to escape, and thus, too much reality is just not as fun to read! Like I said, it's my guilty pleasure.
And the Stone Brothers were definitely a pleasure! The stories were hardcore and gritty and definitely full of hot steamy sex. Yet, there is a story behind the pleasure, and that plot line is very well written. The characters are also well-developed, three-dimensional, with a clear transformation the reader can follow and, more importantly, find believable. Maybe more believable than all the sex! (Honestly, can a person have that much pleasure and still walk?) I appreciate that while there was abuse involved, the brother's did handle their women with respect.
I am glad I discovered Tess Oliver and have already added several of her other works to my shelf. Stay tuned as I get a chance to finish some of them.
I’m counting all three books as one because they were all super short. I feel like there wasn’t enough plot in any of them. They could have been so much more and I wish they were because they had potential, at least book 1 and 3 did.
Hunter’s story (book 2) was dumb.
It was a lot of, “Oh, I want you but I’m not good enough for you and I can’t stop banging other chicks.” And then she was like, “I want you so much. I hate that you’re still screwing other girls but let me drop my panties for you anyway.” And then one day he’s like, “Ya know what? I think I can love her.” And because she’s pathetic…, “Sure, why not?“ The end.

Really enjoyed this series. Read it in one weekend! The characters were great and the pacing was spot on. In the second book, I felt a few scenes a little repetitive of the first but the third book, I loved! I already knew the main characters from the first two books, but Slade and Brittons story was just the best.❤️👌 The plotting, the chemistry, and character development was excellent in each of the books. Would highly recommend.
Loved each one of the books about the Stone brothers. These guys are hardass hunks who know how to fight, have fun, and have raunchy sex. They were never planning on falling in love but that is just what to each of them.
Why did I wait so long to read *This*? I really enjoyed the Stone brothers. I wanted to strangle their them at times, but the characters had deep scars with admirable qualities-loyalty to each other being one.
I had read this series so long ago that it took me a bit to locate it again. I remembered Hunter and Amy’s story when I heard Led Zeppelin the other day. Had to reread immediately. Did not disappoint. Love me some Stone Brothers.
I really enjoyed this series, lots of hot guys, adventures and girls that they couldn’t live without. The endings of each story sucked badly, even tho the guys got their HEA, it was like ……well that’s enough words let’s chop it off here !
Wow! What an amazing series, totally loved the three badass brothers and the women who they loved. I love the storyline lines of how they met and ended up together. This series is totally worth reading!
Stone Cold Bad I may for once be wordless. That feeling of being completely breathless is me. All readers know what I am referring to. That moment, that book, those characters that just leave you speechless. Then you have to place a rating. Totally impossible on a creation like this one. So I will do it the only way I feel is appropriate **5 5 5 5 5 5 ** and I still feel like an injustice is being done. To seperate into elements/ themes is really not necessary. Excellent is the best description. Those needs and wants to excel with positive feedback are all within. Thankful that this is only the beginning. My heart and soul needs more. I also suggest a fan..or maybe two...It sure does get HOTT while your lost inside. Oh and a tissue or two. May need them when your emotions are flip flopping. Writing, story telling, and editing at it's absolute best. The collaboration of these two authors is complete brillantcy.(arc)
Heart of Stone The Stone Brothers are back in 5 star fashion. If you haven't read Book 1(Stone Cold Bad) please do so. Not a standalone. Characters and details are continued. The collaboration of these two authors is storytelling brilliance. Each contributing qualities of excellence for the creation of reading perfection. Nothing like some HOTT ALPHA brothers to capitivate and memorize. I was an emotional mess taking this journey. My heart was so engrossed. I was crying one minute and laughing the next. I related to both the characters and storyline on a personal level. I really think alot of readers will be able to. Love isn't always easy. It sure doesn't come with instructions. The mind and heart don't always agree at the same time. Sometimes a clear cut path is simply a challenge. The twist and turns build and destroy. Moments of complete surprise. I didn't see that happening. Resolutions are reached. Absolutely an excellent read. Every element -Every theme- SUPERB!!! I sure hope the next installment is very soon. Patience isn't my strong suit. If you haven't started this series, please do so. If your debating, whether to read this one, please do so. You won't be disappointed.(arc)
Stone Deep I am truly heartbroken this trilogy is ending. The journeys of the Stone Brothers are simply amazing. Adventures that exceed a 5 star rating and leave you wanting so much more. I recommend reading in order for details and connecting storyline material. If you ever question whether you can love multiple siblings, you can find the answer here. YES!!! Each one grabs a hold and melts all heart barriers. I was so excited with this release. The last yummy brother had to find a HEA or at least have the opportunity to try. Storytelling that surpasses a simple attentive direction. Complete engrossment and emotional involvement. I felt a personal connection to every word. It is always a good thing when I have to stop talking to my reading device. For me, it means I am attached and lost inside the plot. Which signifies an excellent story with supportive themes/ elements. To be totally detached from the world around you-- to be so drawn into the mind trip on paper---is a good thing. Emotions everywhere. What is a must for every great story? Magnificent characters!!! Primary and secondary roles that bring life and realism to each page. There has to be a connection. It isn't about liking/ disliking,it is about relating. An understanding of behaviors needs to be felt. I will say with my reading experience that the roles inside this storyline all meet the criteria to be magnificent. Formatting and writing style is well done. Great care with editing to avoid distraction from story. Nice usage of descriptive wording. Superb dialogue and interactions. Lots of humor. Flirtation and Hottness galore. Definitely want to add this one( all three) to your library. I can't recommend them enough.(arc) AndreaGAH
I had just read Hard Core by this author and was looking for more of her work. This book had some pretty bad reviews so I thought I would see if it was really that bad and its not. Sure there was the scene with him asleep with 2 girls in his bed but this was within 24 hours of them meeting and they were nothing to each other at that point. Just lays the groundwork for his manwhore status.
Jade is on the run from the abusive man she has been living with for 3 years. Colt and his brothers run into her in a bar. She is trying to hide from the goons that are trying to find her. Both Jade and Colt are both pretty much on the other side of the law in this book. The brothers running drugs off their boat and her ex is a bookie.
After she is attacked and escapes by falling off a dock she climbs aboard a boat to hid. The boat ends up being the Stone brothers and Colt takes her home with them. She decides to stay with the brothers until she can get back on her feet, make some money and continue running from Ward. She and Colt have an attraction to each other and within a few days they agree to be together with a few stipulations, one being that they are monogamous. This is a first for Colt. Ward has put up flyers trying to find her as a “missing” person with a reward. He locates her and kidnaps Colt to get her to return to him, which she does but the brothers come to the rescue and they get their HEA.
Heart of Stone
This is the second book in the series. This is Amy and Hunters story. Amy has lived next door to the Stone brothers all her life. They both had abusive fathers and she lives with her mentally ill mother and works in a bar. She has loved Hunter forever but to him she is just his “go to girl”. Sleeping with her and others. She finally reaches a point where she wants him to commit to her but knowing he won’t she trys to stay away from him. This puts him in a foul temper, as they are also best friends. He has also warned all other guys off her so it’s hard for her to date anyone. Amy is pretty weak in the book. She does all she can to stay away from him however its always her that gives into him. A tragedy strikes that brings Hunter to his senses after he almost looses her. He realizes he can’t be without her and proposes and they get married at the end of the book.
Stone Deep
This is the third and last book in the series. This is Slades story, the middle brother. Slade is sitting with friends in a bar when Britton walks in and pulls a gun on a table of 3 men. She is looking for her dead sisters ex boyfriend. Things turn bad and Slade helps to get her out of there. He takes her to the hotel she is living in and they spend the night together. The next day he wakes up alone. He is almost kidnapped by the same guys from the bar for revenge and ends up stabbed and in the hospital. Britton hears about it and goes to see him in the hospital and gives him her number. They decide to go on a road trip to find the ex boyfriend since he can’t work until his wound heals. She needs some closure on the death of her sister. They pretty much fall for each other on this trip but when they get back one of her secrets comes out that she didn’t tell him and he walks away. She then gets her life in order and goes back to him and they get their HEA.
*I received this box set from one of the authors in exchange for my honest review*
STONE COLD BAD Book 1 is about Colton "Colt" (the youngest brother) and Jade. Jade is escaping her abusive boyfriend and Colt helps her by going along with her ruse to hide by kissing her in a bar hallway. That leads to a hot scene in a storage room of the bar. The boyfriend catches up to her and when she gets out of his grasp, she hides on a boat, having no idea it's the Stone brothers' boat. Colt finds her and takes care of her. There is so much more to their story and I have left a more detailed review on that book's page.
HEART OF STONE Book 2 is about Hunter (the oldest brother) and Amy (aka Street). Amy grew up next door to the Stone brothers and always thought of Colt and Slade as that - brothers. But she's always felt something so much more for Hunter. He does too, but will never admit it. They carry on a sexual relationship for a long time. Hunter also has sex with other women but scares off all the men in town from going near Amy, still never admitting that he has real feelings for her. Again, there is so much more to their story, and I have left a more detailed review on that book's page.
STONE DEEP Book 3 is about Slade (the middle brother) and Britton (aka Tink, to Slade). Slade is the trying to enjoy some drinking in a bar out of town with his friend when a little pixy of a girl comes in, raging. She goes over to a table with three men at it and pulls a gun on one of them, demanding to know where Damon is. Slade goes into protective mode when the men tackle her. He beats them off her and they run away in her car and end up at her place (a rundown motel that rents rooms by the week). They share a night of bliss but she's gone in the morning. I left a more detailed review on that book's page.
Don't miss out on these great stories about these hot brothers, especially the super hot sex scenes!
Stone Cold bad I absolutely loved this book and can not wait until the next one. The book is full of suspense, thrilling action, romance and plenty of twists that keeps you from the beginning to the end. I fell in loved with all the characters and I love Jade and Colt. I felt connected to the book from the beginning to end. Fantastic read.
Heart of Stone I loved Heart of Stone. Hunter being the oldest Stone brothers, he felt it was his duty to protect Colt and Slade from their father and believed love was gone and had nothing to give. Amy has been friends with the Stone brothers since they were little and had a special bond with Hunter more then the other two brothers. Amy loved Hunter so much but can Hunter love Amy the same way? When a tragedy strikes, Hunter finally realises his love for Amy and can not bare to be without her. The book had me in tears with sadness and happiness. I loved the book and can't wait for the next book.
Stone Deep Stone Deep is the final book of the Stone brothers and what a fantastic finish to the series. I absolutely loved the story between Slade and Britton. The book is full of thrilling action, romance, steamy hot sex and twists that keeps you from the beginning to the end. Slade the sexy bad boy comes Britton rescue from not yet ex husband and they both have many things to work out, but the drama is worth it for them in the end. I fell in loved with all the characters and I love Slade and Britton. I'm sad to see the end of the series but can't wait to read more Tess's books. Fantastic job Tess and Anna.
I really enjoyed this read and thought it was a good start to a new series. The Stone Brothers are smoking hot cocky bad boys. This was Colt's story and I loved reading his fall with Jade. It was fast paced full of action and some smoking scenes.
I really really enjoyed Heart Of Stone. This was a much more emotional read that I had imagined. Hunter was an absolute ****, however, Tess and Anna still managed to write him in such a way that I was still routing for him and couldn't wait for him to have his moment. Amy - wow loved her and she just broke me heart - I know deep down you just want her to walk away from Hunter but believed unrequited love that is as deep routed as her's was for Hunter was heart breaking. Amy and Hunter together - loved them. Their long standing history provided the emotional back story that made their relationship believable and genuine. Great quick story.
I've really enjoyed this series and I have to say I wasn't disappointed with Slade's story. On the surface Slade is the most easy going of the brother's but while he may not be quite as Alpha as his brothers he clearly carries a lot of hurt deep down. Once again, we get a quick actioned packed read that gives us a great story and great characters. I loved Britton and Slade together - they had great chemistry and their journey together watching them heal each other is heart warming. Any grumbles - I would have loved an extended epilogue for all the brothers. I'm sad to see the end of this series but it will be one that I'll re-visit in the future.
There was something missing from these books, I don’t know exactly what it was...but I didn’t feel the connection with the characters. Which is a shame really because it had such potential! The first book was good, I liked it, even if everything happened at warp speed. The second book was a struggle to get through and made me not even interested in the third book. (I didn’t even read the third book in the trilogy.) In the second book, I just couldn’t handle the Hero being so clueless and hurting the heroine, who he had known and had a booty-call relationship with for years. Years. Not cool. Not what I want to read about. So. My final thoughts? One star per story equals two stars total.
This was definitely a spectacular series on three different but the same men who happen to be brothers.I love the action and drama you are getting with this story. There is a realness to this series that is not sugar coating life, that sometimes you are dealt a bad hand.I really liked the three women in this series, but what I did not like.was Jade and Britton's willness to have sex with a stranger.I'm sorry no matter how sexy they are that's just not done.Overall this is a really ,really good entertaining series about three very spectacular men.
The writing style is easy to read just like I prefer it. The story is good. The Stone brothers had a rough childhood but are good guys. Colton, Hunter and Slade are the girls in the towns hot dream but they never commit to anyone. In each book one of them find love until they all are in relationships. The road there is sweet, fun, action filled. The characters lacks describing in my opinion and I don't get the feeling I need to give top score, but it's a good 4 star read.
There is no reason not to love these Stone brothers. They're hot, delicious, smart, funny and utterly irresistable. I couldn't resist them anyway. I am sure neither could you. Come on, try it and then tell me they didn't make you sigh like a kid in a candy store. I certainly wanted to be among all that candy. Oh yeah, I'd be delirious among all that gorgeous men. Sigh
A smile tilted his mouth. “How the hell do you do it?” “Do what?” “Make every fucking day better. You know something, Street, I’m not sure I’d ever drag my ass out of bed or out of the house if I didn’t know there was a chance to see you.”

What can I say about the Stone brothers???? Hot comes to mind and sexy, sweet, caring, smart and trouble makers with a capital T!!! They are loyal and fiercely loyal to each other and the women who become the loves of their lives!!! Loved this series!!! I highly recommend this series!!!
