I live in the southeast and enjoy reading and writing all things paranormal. Nothing is more relaxing than cracking open a new adventure in a new world.

I love paranormal tales and characters in general and shifter stories in particular. Throw in the romantic element, strong Alpha characters who bend beneath the power of love and I’m over the moon. Sighs…

Romantically, this book focuses on Jasmine's sister Renee and Melange who we met fleetingly before. As close as Jasmine and Renee are, Jasmine has never been able to share the secret of the Wolf Nation with her and that changes now that it is discovered that Renee is mated to a wolf. It's not without it's problems though as Melange has been in a relationship with Elyria for the past 10 years. They have been happy and plan to do one last 'job' before retiring to an exotic island that they own and that's where the problems start. As a way to get closer to La Patron and La Patroness, Melange meets Renee at an airport by 'chance' and they strike up a friendship which soon becomes a relationship. Melange has done similar on many cases before but in those cases, the target wasn't her mate!

We see more of the pups who I absolutely adore and in this book, they are now old enough to start school. As per usual, Silas is rather pedantic about security and each of the pups have a bodyguard to ensure their security but as is usual for the Wolf Nation, not everything goes according to plan.

Things become unpredictable when Melange ends her relationship with Elyria, who has always been somewhat unstable. In response, Elyria changes their plan and kidnaps Sarita from school right under Silas' nose. Jasmine, who loves Sarita as one of her own, goes on the war path to try and locate her. Silas, tasks the first class of KnightForce trainees to find her and gives them 3 days to find Sarita or he will fail them all and start afresh.

There are twists and turns aplenty as we've come to expect from Sydney and this book didn't disappoint. We discover that Elyria isn't who she appeared to be and Jasmine is forced to deal with her alone. The book ends on something of a cliffhanger as we don't know what happens to one of the main characters but as that doesn't often happen, I can forgive the author this one.... and only because I was able to buy the next book in the series! When I bought this book, I wasn't expecting a fourth one and now that there is one, it would be nice to see a fifth book where Angus eventually finds his mate.

Family and love trumps revenge

Elyria was so busy wanting control and revenge, she missed out on a family she could have had. With Melange finding her true mate threw Elyria's already fragile mental state really off-kilter. Melange abandoning their relationship to pursue her true mate was a daunting trial for her to convenience her human mate of their bond. With Elyria's crazy like a fox or wolf plan, she gave La Patron and his Knightforce hell trying to figure out who and why would someone kidnap Sarita. The only break they got was after the pursuit of Melange to her mate. It was revealed that the only person who could eliminate the problem was La Patroness to La Patron's horror and mixed feelings. No one was going to do harm to anyone in her family or pack and that included her sister Renee.

Renee, just coming out of a relationship is thrown head over heels for someone else she knows nothing about. But at the same time, she craves what her mother and sister have with their mates. Now Jasmine does not have to worry about her sister anymore with her mates love and protection. Pack life is everything and with it comes to love and protection, even when mates have disagreements, they find a way to work it out because being without the other is just too much to handle.

Awesome!!

Sydney did it again! This whole ride with Silas Knight, aka LaPatrone has been incredibly entertaining and a total engaging ride. The story begins with the hope that you've read the preceding books because otherwise you will not understand all of the dynamics involved. Tres gives a twist that I never imagined would develop. It was hard to anticipate what would come up next as the story moved forward so you had to read each and every word or you would be lost. Intrigue, mystery, fast paced and emotional are words I offer to describe this work around dual natured wolves and humans. Crazy comes in all forms and a family's commitment and love for each other topped it all. I highly recommend this series!!

Enjoyed this much better than the last one

So happy Renee finally knows about the wolf nation. It's about dang time! Lol.

But seriously, how evil was Elyria! She killed a child, not to mention a whole bunch of other people. Evil crazy bitch! But wow! Sarita is kidnapped! Renee has a wolf mate who was experimented on like Asia & Victoria has her litter. A lot happened in this book. And I can't wait for the next

Things with the kids are very interesting. David & Sarita have a very strong bond. But he really doesn't like Pierre's connection to her either. I'm sensing there may be issues when they're grown. Can't wait!

Ok, all this rambling is to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Want More

I am doing this review after finished finale book of the whole La Patron series. I had to for various reasons.
I loved the whole thing. Especially that the main female leader got her own powers and was also able to do some of what her mate could. Just in her own way.
I also liked that most of the main supporting cast also found their mates. I'm a sucker for a happy love life

Family ties

It’s Renee’s turn to become a full and official part of the family—by mating with an enemy? This is an exciting addition to the series to show the lengths they will go to protect their own.

Book Fantastic

I couldn't wait to read this book and I was not disappointed. The characters are always exciting. Finally, we get Renee's story but I must confess that I enjoy the series more when Silas and Jasmine are prominent. The hook-up between Renee and Melange was okay not believable. I must confess that skipped quite a few pages to get to the real nitty gritty of reading about Silas, Jasmine and the Wolf Nation. I was disappointed that Angus was not featured in this book. I preferred the drama with the kidnapping, the pups' reactions and the Knightforce. I will continue to read other books from this series. I recommend this book and series wholeheartedly.

I am flabbergasted.... Flabbergasted I tell you.
If Sydney Addae can craft such a well constructed story: filled with action, adventure sexiness, chemistry, danger and happy endings... Why can't those twits who craft those idiotic Billionaire stories do the same?

Anyhooo... I'm not a fan of shifters, but I have to give kudos to Ms. Addae for crafting such a wonderful series. This one, was the weakest of all of them, but it still wasn't a bad story.

I look forward to the author's continuing work.

I wish I could give this 10 star's ! I love Silas and Jasmine with all the rest of Knight Force! I've read all these books and enjoy the characters and the story line. It's a place that I can believe could exists in this world and we wouldn't know. Great storylines and characters. Love them all! I'm hoping for another...huh huh? Trust me start with the first book so you know the structure of the den/family. Great read don't wait!

Like all the others this was a good story but I feel a little cheated. I wish we heard more about Melange and Reene. I was actually looking forward to hearing about their claiming and connection. I felt as if they were the third side story after a certain point in the book. Also after the main climax I feel the issues between Jasmine and Silas were kinda of rushed. I would have liked to experience what Silas went through, his thoughts, what it was like when he was called out to.

Outstanding

Ms Addae, once again you have proven to me why you are the best at want you do. This book kept me on edge from the beginning to the end. You showed us how Jasmine not only earned the title of LaPatroness, but also why she deserves that title. Please keep this series going. You Rock!!!!!

Nope!

I've enjoyed all the books within this series up to this one. If there we're ever two unlikable characters, Renee ( the grownup) and Melange, yuck. I was hoping for their demise from the beginning. The only reason I gave this book as many stars is because of the other characters that at I love and the whole scenario with the children.
