Rate this book

Under cover of darkness, a mysterious hero silently prowls the streets of Zeke’s Bend. Labeled Captain Nice Guy by the small-town press, he selflessly performs kind deeds for those in need. No one knows the identity of the man behind the mask.

During a visit to his aunt’s home, tech tycoon Kent Holmes has an embarrassing midnight run-in with the local superhero. Kent longs to unmask the pesky guy who left him tied to a laundry pole, but gets distracted when he meets sexy hairdresser Phae Jones. She’s beautiful, sassy and strong, his perfect woman, and nothing will stop him from winning her.

Phae knows she’s not perfect. She has the secrets to prove it, but she won’t reveal them to anyone, especially not Kent. He’s the hottest man she’s ever met, a witty and passionate billionaire whose kisses curl her toes and make her heart pound.

He has too many expectations. She has too many secrets. Something has to give and it starts with a simple question only Kent thinks to ask—

The ending was kinda cute, but I just couldn't get over the fact that they had known each other for a couple of days and the guy just tried to steamroll Phae and make all the decisions for her.

Billionaires don't like nice girls -- they love them. Under cover of darkness, a mysterious hero silently prowls the streets of Zeke’s Bend. Labeled Captain Nice Guy by the small-town press, he selflessly performs kind deeds for those in need. No one knows the identity of the man behind the mask. During a visit to his aunt’s home, (tech tycoon) Kent Holmes has an embarrassing midnight run-in with the local superhero. Kent longs to unmask the pesky guy who left him tied to a laundry pole, but gets distracted when he meets sexy hairdresser Phae Jones. She’s beautiful, feisty and strong, his perfect woman, and nothing will stop him from winning her. Phae knows she’s not perfect. She has the secrets to prove it, like being required to quit her prestigious job for sexual harassment and getting blackballed, but she won’t reveal that to anyone, especially not Kent. He’s the hottest man she’s ever met, a witty and passionate billionaire whose kisses curl her toes and make her heart pound. He has too many expectations, like she gives up her sideline. She has too many secrets. Something has to give and it starts with a simple question only Kent thinks to ask—What if Captain Nice Guy is actually Captain Nice Girl?

Little out there and strange premise, but entertaining none the less

OMG...NICE GIRLS

Good read. Realistic characters- Sylvie and Nessa. Hilariously funny. I think I highlighted the entire book. Anyone who knows small towns can relate. I love the banter...constant.
On to next book....

This was interesting enough but at times I wanted to poke my eyes out. I'm hoping that the rest of the series isn't like this

Super heroes yeah!

I thought it was a pretty good read however, it sorta did on a bit and never had any real tight or real exciting moments.
Both characters are pretty well developed yet lacked any real excitement.
I still think it is worth reading.

Ugh!!!! Why?

I don't like giving not so good ratings. However, this book had me thinking I was in some time warp. All I could think of was Andy Griffin and Mayberry. I mean really. The heroine was running around the town being Captain save a "_". She was the most stubborn, educated, adult woman that acted more like a teenager than I've ever read. Throughout the entire book she was totally unreasonable up until about 85% of the way through. That's a long time to keep reading when I was so tempted to stop a million times. Nothing about this book was relatable and was totally unrealistic.

Funny and Enjoyable

Cloak and dagger, humour and sexy circumstances, describes this enjoyable novel. The story is well paced and developed feeding the readers imagination to activities of Phae and Kent and the other supporting characters like Aunt Eugenia. Hilariously funny at times and completely serious at others, this romance should've read by all who have loved and lost, or those who have struggled because of a circumstance which sought to destroy them. An excellent read. Totally enjoyed it!

Capitan Nice Guy

This book was a great read. It had me cracking up. I absolutely loved Phae. She came across as crotchety and mean but was really a softie who wanted to help others. I really liked Ken as well he definitely did not relent in his pursuit. The picketing and parade were too much. The was awesome we and lots of laughs in this book. I wood definitely recommend. I'm glad jtvwasnt a super short read. The story and character had time to develop which I enjoyed.

Bittersweet

I couldn't get over the Captain Nice Guy, thief in the night , story. It just irritated me that she got mad when he wanted her to stop doing it. Phae had her issues and I understood that, but she was too headstrong. I don't see why Kent hung around, she was way too difficult and a bit cocky. It made him seem like a wimp. I loved the way he cared for her though.

Nice girl with a good book

I liked the story about Phae Jones meeting and falling in love with her billionaire beau, Kent Holmes. I just felt there were parts that were drawn out and it took too long for the big reveal. There were some cute funny moments that exchanged between the couple and some steamy love scenes.

I didn't enjoy this book, but I couldn't stop myself from finishing it once I had started. I thought Phae was not at all portrayed as a smart character who graduated top of her class from Harvard. Not. Even. A. Little.

Enjoyable

Funny, suspenseful and serious. The combination made this a very good story. The doses of humor sprinkled in were spot on.
