Actually I don't really like established couple. I mean what do you think could really happen, right? Thank goodness, I feel encouraged to read this. This is their journey to the wedding day. All of that disagreement come crashing down until they got their well earned HEA.. :)

The Blogger Girls

Review: These were super cute, super fast, and super short stories that developed quickly and moved along at a rapid, but totally fun and entertaining pace. The titles, as you’ve probably guessed, are based on the songs from the musical Grease.

Jason and Paul are complete opposites…in almost every way, but they are truly so complimentary and perfect together. Jason is an insecure, goofball accountant who loves musicals. Paul is the gorgeous guy from the upper echelon of his office building, extremely confident and totally sex on legs…so why is Paul appearing to be interested in Jason? Jason is completely confuzzled, doesn’t expect it to last, but he is so not willing to say no when Paul asks him to go see a musical with him.

Jason and Paul’s relationship begins in You’re The One That I Want, and watching these two skirt around each other and then finally landing on the truth behind the mystery of who Paul really is was very entertaining. It’s a very short read and one that you get through in about an hour. Fortunately, I had the next book, Hopelessly Devoted, ready to roll and read that one immediately afterwards, as well.

Jason and Paul are now well on their way to happily ever after…if Paul doesn’t kill off Jason’s cat, Dave, first. These two nuts are so hilarious. They are totally in love, and yes, hopelessly devoted to one another, but that cat and his naughty behavior would tempt a saint. Book one saw these two lovebirds meet and fall in love, book two they are living together and living their dream, and planning their wedding…all based on the musical Grease whereas they play two prominent parts. I don’t want to give anything away, it’s too entertaining not to read it and experience these two for yourself.

Overall Impression: I really liked them

My Rating: 4 of 4 Stars
(Based on Short&Light Read Category)

The One That I Want & Hopelessly Devoted To You by RJ Jones is a series that I read and read and then read again. Yes, it is one of those things which automatically become a favorite read, especially since singing in my mind are two of favorite songs from a favorite play made into a movie starring a favorite actor and a fantastic Aussie actress/singer. Grease is one of my go-to movies when I just want to relax and enjoy.

This is the story of Jason who sought to escape real life in musicals. He meets a gorgeous man in an elevator and strike a relationship that first began in friendship but soon morphed into a love that I can honestly call: morantic.

Yes, morantic. I don't think I have used that word for some time now. Morantic, for those not familiar with my usage, is a local slang for cheesy-romantic-make-your-heart-throb-and-giggle-through read. These two books are truly entertaining that can make your eyes roll at the silliness and make one go awww at the romance unfolding.

Grinning silly through this back to back read, Jason and Paul's journey from the elevator to the altar is truly fairytale-like that it leaves one with that silly smile and aching heart of what ifs.

I wish these two were not short and light reads for the highest I give these reads are a 4. In my heart, these are worthy of 5 stars, especially if you are seeking love, laughter and romantic dreaming written by an author who knows just what buttons to push.

To be honest, it was such an enjoyable read, I almost didn’t notice when I’d reached the end and then went, “That’s all of it?” They dance to their own tunes, bend their own rules for each other and tried to hold on to their secrets with all they had. I loved the two main characters, Jason and Paul; also how they danced around each other shrouded in their own insecurities.

A very happy-making tale, aided by amazing audio-visuals and a determined cat. I’m sure there will be more than one humming the tunes for days after they’ve finished reading this book. On the other hand, why wait, here’s a little something to help you get the ball rolling for these two amazing books
Precise, to the point and memorable. Just like a hickey. lol.
Couldn't resist that one since 'A hickey from Kenickie is like a Hallmark card, when you only care enough to send the very best!'

Dear readers, this is where you go and pick up your copy of unadulterated fluff and goodness. Here’s hoping you enjoy as much as I did.

This was very short and caught us up on what happened between Jason and Paul from the end of the first book to their wedding in this one. Jason's parents are bigoted a**holes, or at least his father is. His mother might just be under his thumb, which is sad, since she let that come between her and her son. Dave the cat was a real hoot, a fearless killer of spiders, although he did tend to piss in unwary shoes. One thing that really impressed me was that Jason was willing to draw the line when it came to his cat. Too often pets will get kicked to the curb if there's a conflict between partners. I could understand where Paul was coming from, and I think he spoke without really taking into consideration what he was saying.

The end felt a little rushed, more told than shown, but all in all, it was a cute way to spend an hour or so.

This short story is the sequel to The One That I Want and should not be attempted as a standalone. Basically, it’s one big, squishy, feel-good epilogue that is a must read for anyone who read and enjoyed that first story.

Jason and Paul, our loved-up main characters from the previous book are back. They’ve been together for a year and are preparing to walk down the aisle and become husband and husband. Jason is trying (and failing) not to panic at the thought of being married in a church packed to the rafters with New York’s social elite and business VIPs. As he gets ready with the help of Paul’s sister, he thinks back over the last year and remembers the disagreements that brought them to where they are today.

I loved the idea of this story. Firstly, yes, there are flashbacks but they make up the first half of this tale, so they aren’t those annoying type flashbacks that take you out of the present story, but are instead fun moments of catch up between the first book and this one. I really liked the way that the author chose to focus on incidents that began with an argument rather than moments that were nothing but more love and easy times. Some of the moments were serious, like Paul’s angry dislike of Dave (Jason’s cat) and some were nothing but fun, like the debate over stylist Pierre vs. barber Eric. Although these were all moments of contention, whether somber or simply joking around, the results showed us just how perfect these two men are for each other.

As with the first story there is a tie-in to Grease and the author again provides us with plenty of sigh worthy moments, including a beautiful first dance for the newly married couple.

Once again I feel the need to mention the covers, which I adore for their catchy uniqueness.

Again, don’t read this without first reading The One That I Want, but once you do read that one, well I don’t really need to tell you to follow up with this. You won’t be able to resist finding out what happens next.

In this second installment of the story of Paul and Jason, a year after the initial story, we get to see the road to the wedding. Can upper crust Paul meet Grease loving Jason in the middle when it comes to the wedding plans?
This is a short story and it’s a lovely continuation of their story. I would suggest reading the first, The One That I Want, to fully appreciate this one. It’s very sweet and fluffy. We get to see where Dave came from (and an awwww is required) and why he’s so important. We get to see the unromantic issues that come up when you are wealthy and how difficult it can be to adjust to a difference in money (I admit, Eric vs Pierre did make me laugh). But most of all, we get to see what people want to do when they are in love and want to make each other happy. And that was the sweetest.

From that review: "With Hopelessly Devoted, R.J. Jones merrily brings us back into the lives of faithful and true Jason and Paul who meet, romanced and fell forever in love in The One That I Want (The One That I Want, #1). With fingers snapping, hips a swaying, and melodies playing everywhere, its time for the boys to get hitched! And the plans are for them to do it in grand style. But we all know how that will play out. From the old romantic comedies to the lovable musicals on stages, we are right there as R. J. Jones smoothly moves Jason and Paul effortlessly from society's expectations to love's surprises in another short story just as charming and heartwarming as the first."

I was pleasantly surprised to know that there was a sequel to “The one I want” – this cute couple so deserved a sequel!

After one year together, Paul and Jason’s wedding day finally arrived, but, even marrying the man of his dreams, Jason’s life is not only roses…

Being together on a day by day routine, showed them the struggles, adaptations, concessions that they would have to face if they want their relationship to work. They will get some things right, others wrong, but ultimately, they’ll learn that all decisions must be made together to work.

Paul, always the romantic one, will do his best to make their marriage more than unforgettable for Jason.

This is such a great sequel - I had an amazing time reading it.

Hopelessly Devoted is the follow-up to The One That I Want by R.J. Jones. In the sequel to Paul and Jason’s story, they continue their obsession with two characters from Grease.

The story starts on their wedding day with a nervous Jason talking to Paul’s sister. Jason, though, is distracted by the thought of not having any family there to support him. Paul’s family members have taken to him, support him, and love him like he hasn’t been loved in a long time.

Jason learns that Paul and his dad made a road trip to personally give Jason’s parents their wedding invitation.

Hopelessly Devoted follows on the heels, well one year later, of RJ Jones' The One That I want. Paul, one of the city's most eligible bachelors, has proposed to Jason. Jason wants to marry Paul but the stress of a big wedding, with all the luminaries, political and societial, in attendance, Jason begins to get cold feet. It's up to Paul to convince Jason that this wedding and this marriage is for them alone, nevermind who is watching the proceedings. And, like he did in the first book, Paul steps up big time, showing Jason what he really means to Paul. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Loved this short story.

Oh I wish these two were in a full length novel, I just love them.

In hopelessly devoted we get treated to the many disagreements and arrangements that need making for a wedding and of course the sweet making up.

There's so much love seeping out this book it really warms my heart. The humour is mixed in with the banter between Paul and Jason.

The wedding is so sweet, you won't be left wanting.

Just loved it - enough said!

I must check out this authors other work.

This book is one year after Pauls proposal( and what an epic one it is ) you must read Your the one that I want first to get the full effect of the story, but if you accidently grab this one first you can still follow quite well. ( I do suggest you read the other its so much fun and you find out more about why these titles are so cool and understand the significance of the wedding party.

This book was just as funny as the first.

If you are looking for some fun short stories to read when you don't have time for a long book and need a good laugh I highly recommend this!

This book picks up 1 year after "The One That I Want" left off. Paul and Jason are preparing to walk down the aisle.

As Jason is getting ready he flashes back to all the important moments that got them there. The fights about pre-numps, Jason's non-existent relationship with his family, and Dave the cat.

I love that Paul made sure the reception was all about Jason and his love of all things Grease.

This is super sweet and low angst. I love the hilarity that surrounds Dave! He very well could be one of my favorite cats ever!

This was a good follow-up to Jason and Paul's story. This story tells some of what has happened to them since we last saw them and leads up to their wedding. I loved that everything didn't come up roses for them. They had to fight for their relationship. They faced trials and tribulations, but they make it through with love.

This was a sweet ending to their story that I really enjoyed!
