This is one of the most frustrating books I have read because just when you think you are going to get a result it stops around 55% into in and you are then led into another of this author's series.
It has the makings of a good story but just too disjointed to make impact. Would me much better as a complete novel.

Badass-Collision Course. Let me start of by saying I'v read everything that Leslie Johnson has every written and I am a huge fan already same goes for Elle Dawson. So needless to say I was thrilled with the fact that these two amazing authors were going to be working together to create what I was hoping to be a stunning masterpiece that I was going to either cry or being fighting mad or have some kind of incredible emotion too. Thankfully these brilliant ladies did not disappoint.
Badass-Collision Course is a brilliant story that hit close to home for me on several levels. Let me explain first I am an Army Wife so I can relate to Army life and what goes on in those situations. Second a tragedy that you will read about in this book that I will not reveal since it's a spoiler ;) happened to me. These amazing ladies were able to encompass real life and write about it with such accuracy and evoke such emotions within me as a reader that at times I was either crying my eyes out or fighting mad. Quite honestly the storyline was brilliant, your emotions will run high the entire time you will be angry, sad, happy. It will be a non-stop roller-coaster ride the entire time. The connection between Grace and her best friend is incredible the same goes for Link and his best friend.
The incredible detail in which the authors put into the training scenarios and the rescue mission were brilliant. This is one of those stories that quite honestly is shaping up to be one of my all time favorites. I was so mad when it ended I was angry at my e-reader because there wasn't anything more for me to read! These ladies did't leave us hanging they threw us off the cliff and left us riding on the emotional roller-coaster.
It's full of suspense, drama, action, some crazy twists and turns! And I can't wait to see where it's going!

Badass - Collision Course is a book filled with raw emotions and a plot that will keep you burning through the pages. If you have not read the prequel to Badass, I would highly recommend starting there, so you will get to know how Billionaire Bad Boy Link Duffy turned into the elite Delta Force warrior.
In this story you see into the lives of two people. Each living in completely different worlds, fighting battles in their own right. Both have fought long and hard to get to where they are in their respective careers, despite the lack of support from their family.
Link Duffy only has one thing on his sights. Being the best soldier he can be. The only thing he will commit to is his next mission and his military brothers. Grace Johnson has recently completed nursing school and is a certified physical therapist. Her world is turned upside down after a tragic event, though she is strong, it is a wonder if she will ever recover.
From the first pages of this action packed story I was pulled in. The compassion and strength each character had to endure pulled at my heartstrings. I cannot wait to find out what happens next to these two amazing characters!

This is book two of the series, all it will leave you wanting more. This book picks up ten years after the prequel ended, Link now an elite Delta force warrior, not having spoken much to his family over the years and still one hot, single man.
In this book we also meet Gracie, stuck in loveless marriage and expecting her first child. We see Gracie come home and find her husband in bed with the women Gracie despises the most and next thing she knows Gracie finds herself falling down a flight of stairs. Gracie wakes up and finds out that they were unable to save the baby and due to complications from the fall they had to remove Gracie's uterus, so now she will never be able to have children. Gracie decides its time for change and sets out on the road working as a travelling physical therapist.
This book sets us up for Link and Gracie to crash into each other in book two and when they do I think there will be fireworks. Cannot wait for book two.

Hooked from start to finish.
It's been 10 years since Link gave up his playboy lifestyle to be in the army, but not through any choice of his own he was only meant to serve 4 years until Mattie ripped his heart out and he went all in. Now doing missions around the world but still treating his fellow with his trust fund. But when he is home his grandmother has a dying wish for him to open his heart and he will know the one when he has to get her to open hers.
Grace is married to Rob before he was going to be a doctor now he wants to be a fisherman but when she gets home early one day she finds him in a compromising position and like any man gives the it's not what it looks like speech. But tragedy strikes and Grace's life is changed forever.
I cried whilst this book so tissues are required.
Both Leslie and Elle have done a great job of this series so far and I can't wait to get stuck into the next book.

I received Badass Collision Course as an ARC from the author for an honest review.Link Duffy went from spoiled rich kid to a badass member of Delta Force. His story continues 10 years after Badass The Prequel. This story is also the story about Grace. Grace, who is a nurse, is mourning the loss of her unborn son due to falling down the steps during and aguement with her cheating husband. Grace decides to move on with her life and becomes a traveling nurse. At this point in the series, Grace and Lonk have not met. While Grace is moving on, Link and his team are on a mission against ISIS. As we all know, missions like this can have unwanted consequences. I have really enjoyed seeing this spoiled kid turn into a badass member of our military. I recommend reading Badass The Prequel before reading this book. This book ends with a cliffhanger.

Wow! What an intense book! I love how we are getting a story set up of each characters life that we all know will wind up meeting!! I absolutely loved Duff's grandmother, she was a hoot!! Although this was a good book, I was disappointed that I was at 54% and the story was over! I'm impatiently waiting for the next book..haha! Badass is definitely living up to it's name!!

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by authors Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson. This is book 1 of the military drama/romance series Badass by the authors.
Lincoln(Link) Duffy stayed in the military after getting his heart broke. Now 6 years later he is on a dangerous mission so save innocent people. A breach in security causes dire consequences for Link and his group.Grace Johnson is a nurse who suffers dramatic injuries when she catches her husband cheating on her in her own bed. Now she is starting over in another place after her divorce.
The flow of the story was amazing and the character interactions was so riveting through out the whole book. I had a hard time putting it down because it was so good.
This is an romance for mature readers.

OMG! This was such a heart-wrenching book. I cried like a big baby while reading. Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson are amazing. I love reading Leslie Johnson's books and now I'm going to need to look into getting started on Elle Dawson's. The next book cannot come soon enough.

I am so loving this series already and I'm only 2 books in. Link has been in the Military for 10 years after his life was fast becoming a car crash and he need to sort himself out, he hasn't seen Mattie for years after she broke his life and is now totally off women. Grace is in a marriage that isn't going anywhere, when she decides to leave a tragedy happens that puts her off men for good..... I'm loving the characters and the story lines are brilliant, I just can't read these books fast enough.....

Beautiful. Ten years of hard work and determination have allowed Link to try and find peace. His love for his army friends is not taken lightly and with time he's matured. But what was the price that he had to pay? Will his family accept him and his decisions to stay with the Army? Grace is a mess. Issues of huge proportions, she needs to make some much needed changes in her life. Will these two special people meet up? Will they find a way to heal each other?

So much action in so little time! How could this book be over already? Time flew as I read this book and now I can't wait for the next one. But as I look forward to the next book, this book reminds me how lucky I am to sit in my comfortable house while soldiers here and around the world put their life on the line for me. Thank you soldiers! And thank you Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson for bring their story to light.

Wow! Seems like that is how I start most book reviews for this author. Still accurate. I wanted to punch a few of the supporting characters. I cried on behalf of both main characters several times in this novel. I definitely cheered out loud when scumbags got what was coming to them. This book is a great lead up to the next one...which can't come soon enough. You need to buy this book and read it with a box of tissues but only after reading the prequel.

We meet Grace a woman who is pregnant and in a marriage she doesn't want to be in a feels trapped. Her husband Rob is a piece of shit who deserves nothing, how he treats her is sickening and finally having enough and her and Rob get into a fight and that night her life changes forever. Link is getting further into the military and his past still haunts him. When in rescue mission something goes terribly wrong. Can't wait to see what happened next

Storyline is good. Liked the way the story is being played out. Prequel caught my interest. Couldn't wait for the book to come out. Downloaded it but was shocked to see it was just a part of the story and was cliffhanger so now have to wait a couple weeks to see the next part.

Another great job. I loved this book and the drama that it brought. It brought the military aspect close to home. Everything in the book felt realistic.
Only very minor downside is it's short. I was reading along and next thing I knew, I was done. I can't wait for the next part and to see how Grace and Link merger together.

OMG!!!! I need book 2 right now!!!! Loved the character development in this book. Only minus in my book is that the main characters haven't met. It makes for an interesting book 2. Let's see how this story develops.

Much better than the prequel. Link is a powerful soldier as we experience a hostage rescue with his team. Grace is stuck in an unloving marriage when her husband commits the ultimate sin. Their lives haven't crossed yet but the events lead us to soon. My copy was given for review.

What an awesome read. I could not put down. This was so emotional and raw. I absolutely loved it!!

Excellent read
I wasn't sure that I would enjoy this series, but so far am pleasantly surprised & look forward to continuing the series.
