Omg talk about secrets! This book was an amazing jaw dropping and drama filled read. This series should be a movie. I can't wait to see what happens with Ty and Nice. I also wonder what's going to happen when Cathy reveals her secret to the boys.

A bit disappointed that there will be another part...
First off, I feel like a sucka for paying 9 bones for this. I have not even paid this much for my favorite authors! It is only because I loved part 1 so much, that I had to find out what happened to my favorite characters. The writing style is different, which makes me wonder if someone else wrote this one or helped to write it. The story doesn't carry the same caliber as the first either. Yet, I enjoyed reading this one. The secrets revealed have my mind spinning. I was dumbstruck at the twist and turns in the plot. I love how much Los and Lucky have matured in their relationship. Keema and Jah are still the same - crazy in love. Yoooo Nice and Ty went through the ringer in this joint - wow. Please maintain the integrity of this story and do not stretch this out into multiple parts with cliffhangers!!

Yes!
I waited so long for this book and it was well worth the wait. It was so good it took me 2 days to finish. I'm happy that Lucky matured some. Poor Ty she just can't seem to catch a break. I can't wait for the next installment.

I bow down to your greatness
Ivory B, just as book one was when it came out a few years ago this book did not disappoint. These books have got to be the best books I have ever read. You have a wonderful way of telling a story, bringing, no not bringing, sucking your readers in to the story line and characters lives. And the thing I like most in your books is the loyalty of your alpha men to their women, they know and understand the meaning of I love you and the meaning of respect and honoring your woman. They were real alpha men secure enough in themselves to know cheating on your woman the woman that is ride or die for you don't make you anymore manly, it just makes you regular and typical, and after all weren't Los and his crew supposedly a cut way above the rest? This is truly how a hood romance suppose to be and I loved it. Yes the editing could have been much much much better, but your story was so wonderful even editing could not take away from the story. You even had comedy central up in this piece man I found myself laughing out loud at times you are hella funny. I have read book one at least 6 times, whenever I need a romantic fix it's my go to book, and if u knew me you would know that is high praise for you, because I am a AVID reader, no you didn't hear me I am an AVID reader, that's all I do I don't watch tv I don't club nothing books are my life. That may sound sad to some but I have such a love for books and you are now one of my favorite authors, you could have been the favourite but Ivory B really two years for a follow-up book, come on now that's crazy don't do your fans like that. I gave up on a part two ever being released, I just thought that you were going to be a one hit wonder and just kept reading book one over and over again. On some real you have the potential to be a sister Soulja "Coldest Winter Ever" or an EL James 50 Shades of Grey type of level, but you have to get on your grind. I say all that to simply say PLEASE, PLEASZzzzzz!!! Don't make your fans wait that long for part 3 of this book, that would be so unfare, and I know quality over quantity but 2 or 3 years is just ridiculous you are a better writer than that. I often wonder if something happened to you or yours that actually kept you from writing? I wonder? Well whenever the New book is released ill be here to snatch it up. BRAVO!! for your great work BRAVO!!

Worth the wait.
I pray part 3 is finished already. The book picked up where it left all. I loved all the couple's dearly, I pray these secrets only make their relationships stronger at the end. All 3 couples deserve each other. When their sad I'm sad... These are characters I call friends!!!

This book was on point! All I can say is "it is what it is." I'm so in love with Carlos it ain't even funny!!! The girls need to take some pointers from Lucky because she be giving Los the blues lol!!! I believe Ty was forced upon the secret she was hiding because she was scared of Tony!!! Next didn't even let Ty explain what really happened!!! I can't wait until part three comes out!!!

I'm in total shock at that ending. I don't agree with the way Nice handled Ty one bit he's being a big hypocritic. Now I'm wondering how long we gon have to wait on part 3.

January 28, 2023While I liked the story and still love most the characters within the story again this book made the females especially Keema and Ty look pathetic. The timelines were all messed up. Ty finding out she was 11 weeks pregnant that's almost 3 months pregnant. Ty found out about the pregnancy a few weeks before Keema went into labor, Ty and the girls go help Keema pack and Keema's baby is already 3 months old. When Ty has a miscarriage she would have been closer to 6 or 7 months pregnant not 5 months and it would have been more of a baby dying versus clumps of blood especially after they knew the sex so that made no sense. The separation between Lucky and Los was dragged out entirely too long she was held up in a hotel for 2 months? The one thing that was kind of a turn off was the flashbacks especially the flashbacks within the flashbacks had my head spinning because some of the information was completely unnecessary. Cathy and her secrets, Nice and his temper not giving Ty a chance to explain and what happened and all these different characters coming at this group from all directions, Chilly and his crew, Dean and Mia, Nona and now Tony. WTF??? Overall I like the story line but some of it was pointless making the book way longer than it needed to be and from what I'm seeing in the comments annoying readers because it took entirely too long to release. Whenever the next installment is released I will read it because now I'm curious as to how this will all play out and like everyone else I'm hoping it doesn't take 2 years.

What’s done in the dark...
Will come to light, but it’s sometimes detrimental to relationships. Secrets are kept for a reason and whoa...Ivory B pulled me into this intricately woven story filled with them. My heart felt and ached for the characters in this book. Definitely worth my late night reading sessions.

The title says it all
I couldn't give this book anything less than 5stars, it's funny,sexy, crazy, n wow. Los, Nice, Jan & Real are off the chain it's been a while since I've read a book that made think I was right there. Man I hope book 3 will be out soon.

Fix Pebbles and Bam Bam now.
I won't belabor the point that it took 2 years for pt2 to come out, but having said that, please don't take so long for part 3. I have to know what happens with my favorite couple Ty and Nice. I understand he was shocked and hurt, but he went to far. I don't care what Ty did in her past. She held him down like no one else would have. I still love Nice though, I hope Ty makes him go through it to get her back. This book was a great follow-up to what I consider one of the best urban novels ever to be written. Ivory you did your thing with both books. I'm so glad Lucky and Los are back on track, but Lucky still cries to much lol. Keema and Jah just add that something extra that keeps this book flowing. Wow! Cathy is going to have to do some major explaining when her secret comes out, because what I've read so far. Her keeping quite isn't justified. I hope in the next book Real and the girl in the club ( I forgot her name ) have their own story line. I hate Mia and Nona those two birds better finally get theirs in pts 3. Good work Ivory hurry up. Because I can't wait to find out what's next.

This is one of my favorite series. I was upset with the amount of time Ivory B took to release part 2. Waiting a couple years for a sequel is way too long and as it seems there will be a part 3 I hope that it doesn't take years to be released
This book was definitely a winner. I love all the couple's especially Los and Lucky. The characters are so likeable with the exception of grimy Mia and Tony. Los and Lucky became a little boring after they got married but I love their characters and their relationship. Ty and Nice went through hell dealing with Mia and her mess. Ty was a rider and stuck with Nice through it all and never wavered or wanted out because of the mess she had to deal with because of Mia and Nice past so I was shocked and passed at the way Nice responded once Ty's past resurfaced. Shame on him. I can't wait to see where the storyline goes once the truth is revealed about Jah. I felt bad that Cathy had lived with the big secret for so long and I think it's time she reveal it to the guys. I'm looking forward to the next part to this series and will not hesitate to recommend it.

This book was one of the best hood loves stories EVER written , I can't believe all of that has happened .. I pray Nice Forgives TY.. She jus wanted to save her relationship.. If I was her I probably wouldn't have said anything either , especially since you are ashamed of your past. I feel really bad for her , especially all of the things she been through with him.. Lucky and Los are so wonderful together, I hope they have a baby soon.. Keema and Jah are the funniest couple lol, as are as Ms. Cathy I pray the boys don't get upset with her when they find out they're real brothers ! .. And hopefully we don't have to wait so long for part 3 .. Come on Ivory B !!!!!! Please hurry up

Just Got Better
Ivory Bee has done it again! I have so many different emotions going through me right now as well as when I was reading this book. All the secrets that have been revealed, the issues that have been resolved among the couples as their relationships evolved, seeing Lucky grow into the woman we knew she could be. My heart goes out to my favorite couple Nice and Tyeena, I am anxious for the next book to read more background on Ty's story with this Pimp Tony. I just refuse to believe after all they've been through that it ends for them in this way. The long wait was worth it, a great read from beginning to end.

Talk about a page turner and family secrets¡
Man......if this isn't drama, I don't know what is. As soon as one somebody gets their crap together the other one falls apart. One thing for sure secrets aren't worth keeping. I'll never let anyone have something over me that has the potential to break me. Period. I was surely drawn in with all this turmoil. I would easily give this a five star rating however, I can't get passed the grammatical errors and misspelled words. It would be 31/2 but we don't have 1/2 stars here.

To much...
It was just to much going on. The first book had me on my heels. I read the first book in a few days. I downloaded this book the day it came out and I just got done reading it because it was way less interesting even with the secrets and all. I thought this book would answer some questions in the first book but it didn't. While I was finishing it tonight I could only think how I wish she would kill all the characters off in the next book because they can't keep living like that. Overall it was a good book but to me it was to all over the place.

Packed full of drama "It Is What It Is: A Hood Love Story" was like watching a mesh of "Power" & "Empire"! As each character's storyline unfolded with jaw dropping secrets revealed.... I laughed, cried and cursed the emotional rollercoaster! Given the length of this read, the numerous loose ends and grammatical errors felt a bit rushed. Nevertheless, Ivory B. is one FIERCE writer and I look forward to her dropping THE BOMB in Part 3!

Let me just say this, if anyone gives this book less than 5 stars they are petty! Ms B came through with this one, her character development was on point and it held me interest from the beginning to the end! I felt as if I was actually in the scenes lol. Ms B you are something serious honey I can't wait for part 3

This book was well worth the wait Miss B you did you thing yet again! I hope all is we and and part 3 is not to far behind this one! I loved this one cause we got to see another side of Nice and I like him a lot almost as much as Los. I love the growth in all the men in this book! GREAT JOB!!!!

Can't wait for book 3, don't take too long to come out with it. I loved everything about all the characters, this book was a page turner, it was suspenseful and more, I'm pulling for Nice and Ty to overcome their present situation.....Carlos and Lucky I love you guys. Ivory B u have me waiting impatiently for the next book but ig it's " Is What it is" lol

This book was really good, but it was really long. I love the couples. I can't decide which is my favorite. I think Nice and Ty are my favorite..I am interested in readIng the next book..Will definitely be waiting for that one.
