Apparently, Conan meets Wild West meets cyborgs can yield a pretty good, spicy romance! Many points for a sweet, smart Conan. Somehow.

This read was basically sci-fi erotica. It never felt like a romance at all to me. Here is my breakdown:

Pros:
* I do like the sci-fi feel to it and the world created - some of the creatures and places were very detailed and original
* Offered as a kindleunlimited

Cons:
* I didn’t care for the writing style - it seemed to jump around a bit much for my preference
* The sex in this one just didn’t do it for me. I like erotic reads, and BDSM doesn’t usually bother me but with this one I didn’t find it realistic that the heroine went from being this strong, confident woman to being submissive in the bedroom and wanting to be tied up etc. It didn’t match her personality in my opinion.
* The heroine went from hating to hero to loving him. The change was too drastic and fast. One page she despised him, the next she loved him. I wish their relationship had progressed more. I didn’t feel as if their relationship had much foundation. They had lots of kinky sex, but other than that they barely seemed to know one another.
* The plot execution has some very dull spells - it was very repetitive

Overall, I didn’t really care for this book. I almost stopped reading it a few times but stuck it out. It's not one I'd recommend, but I still might try some of this writers other work because I liked that the stroryline was at least orginial.

I received a copy of this book for free through NetGalley

I must've skim read the synopsis because this turned out to be an alien/action/sex/space/fantasy extravaganza which I was not expecting - happy to say that it was actually pretty great. I've never read a book like this before but the writing is spectacular and there are little mysteries and plot twists scattered throughout which make it a great read. Torgeir and Ella don't have your typical romance and there is this whole bondmating thing that took me a while to get my head around but I thought their relationship propelled the story forward in a great way and whilst there is a lot of sex in this book - I mean a lot! - it didn't overshadow the story as a whole.

Cyberella really was a delicious addition to a fantastic series, and re-reading it was as much a treat as it was the first time!

It’s the story of Ella,a girl with cyborg bits she has trouble accepting as part of her unique, sweet self. When she’s captured by Torgeir,he takes possession of her,all of her. She likes him being in control, and hopes he wants to keep her,all of her. But there’s someone out there that wants her,too....and he wants to transform her. Into something his crazy mind thinks will help his plans.

After Ella finds out the bits of her past she forgot, she knows Torgeir will not want the girl she knows she once was. The girl she became before the cyborg bits.......But that crazy man? He can’t have her, either! No way....

After finishing the Preyfinders series, this was a girl i loved getting to know better. A girl i’m glad to know got what she deserved.....

Cari Silverwood does it again in her latest sci-fi adventure. Cyberella takes place in the Preyfinders universe, but can absolutely be read as a standalone. Ella is an ex-Earthgirl, modified and turned cybernetic. She has to make her way in a big scary universe full of aliens who seem to think she’s quite valuable. When she hooks up with Torgeir, an alien mercenary who finds her unbelievably attractive, things seem to make a turnaround. Their kinky relationship blossoms and Torgeir knows he’s found his bondmate for life. The universe has wrenches to throw into the mix, however, and Torgeir and Ella find that they’ll need to fight for the love they’ve found.
I’m used to Cari Silverwood’s dark reads, but Cyberella was fun and fast-paced, full of intriguing characters that made for a very rich and satisfying adventure. I’ve always been impressed with her attention to detail, how carefully she constructs a new world before your eyes. It definitely kept me on my toes, as I didn’t want to miss any clues as to what was to come. Ella and Torgeir struggle at first, but once things click, they fall madly in love. They’re just kinky enough call this BDSM themed, but their sex is playful and fun, heavy on bondage play. I never doubt that Ms. Silverwood will throw in some unique, one of a kind action to make it memorable. I have to give special mention to the secondary characters in this one, as they really enriched the story and gave it a “StarWarsesque feel that I LOVED. Their interplay made a story that could have been completely centered around the two main characters, a much more well-rounded and fleshed out one. I really enjoyed Cyberella and found it a unique addition to her Preyfinders world, being less action-heavy and more relationship focused, which is my preference. Make no mistake, there are some harrowing moments, but they don’t overshadow the romance as the focus. I could absolutely read about more characters in this world that seems to have infinite possibilities. Anyone who loves paranormal especially should give erotic sci-fi a try!

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I read Preyfinders because a review copy was offered in NetGalley. I have read books from Cari Silverwood before, but I have to say that the Preyfinders series was my favorite. I love Sci Fi Romance, so I enjoyed the Preyfinders because it was different from a lot of other SFR I've read. When I was offered the chance to read Cyberella, I immediately took it. This book is still in the Preyfinders unvicerse, although Ella and Torgeir's story stands on its own.

I liked Cyberella because it was more into the kinky side instead of the dark side. It's still a fast paced story even if it wasn't as action oriented that the Preyfinders. The main characters were both enjoyable characters to read. The world-building was amazing, although it's a universe that a lot of readers are already familiar with. I already love the Sci Fi Romance genre, and I already like Cari silverwood's books. However, with me reading the Preyfinders series and Cyberella, I have to say that Ms. Silverwood will be on my watch list from now on.

If you enjoyed Cari Silverwood's Preyfinder series, then you REALLY want to pick up Cyberella. While not exactly a part of the Preyfinders series, it does take place in the same universe.

This is the story of Ella, an Earth girl who finds herself in a bit of a predicament and captured by Lord Torgeir and made his property. Someone wants Ella, for reasons unknown to both Ella and Torgeir, but isn't going to give up the hunt and Torgeir isn't going to let Ella go that easily, as they both have fallen for each other and Torgeir's kinky ways. As the story unfolds Ella learns about a forgotten past, one that makes her feel like a danger and unlovable, only to find Torgeir tracking down what is his.

Like readers have come to expect, there is a lot of amazing mind blowing sex that will leave the readers wanting for more as well as a huge plot twist that even I didn't see coming. This book will keep readers on their toes and interested for sure!

The first paragraph of the first page made me laugh, and I immediately knew I had a read I could sink into. It's *the best* when a book just clicks like that.
Torgeir, the H, was lovely. More compassionate and vulnerable than I would have expected, I loved his character.
Ella was funny and adorable. She frustrated me with a few bad decisions, but the poor thing beat herself up enough over them, I just wanted to pat head.
Ella's relationship with the boys was a great storyline; I enjoyed the repartee between them all and the platonic affection it brought.
The sexual buildup and acts were on point and fan-freakin-tastic. The whole Preyfinder world created is just fascinating, and allows the reader to immerse themselves.

Yet another awesome story by Cari Silverwood! Anyone who has read the Preyfinders trilogy will definitely want to read this book detailing the rehabilitated "spider girl." Like Preyfinders there were plot twists that take the reader by surprise. Actually...I think I enjoyed this book more because it had a wider range of characters and took place on an alien planet. I want a pet like Mimi!

For people who like erotic sci-fi novels this is definitely the book for you.

Unexpectedly well-written world building.

Yes, there was the smexy scenes, but Ella and Torgeir had the best type of BDSM relationship that isn't usually characteristic of the dark romance genre. Instead of the beating, degradation and abuse couched in terms of love and control common to this author's romance, there was actually compromise, affection, respect, AND Ella actually leaves with Torgeir having to convince her to remain with him.

wonderfully done!

Woohoo! Another smash hit for Cari Silverwood! The talent and finesse that you are capable of printing! Truly fantabulous! !!!

Ella is a gem. ... or more like a diamond in the rough. The crap these women find themselves in and the raw cruelty of these alien men is so vile. I love Ella's tenacity and will to survive for simply herself. Sometimes I find myself wishing I had that kind of strength.

I think that Torgeir knew from the beginning that Ella was the perfect woman for him. He just needed to know how to keep a wild stallion safe from herself and crazy men. What a wild ride this one human girl takes him on.

I loved the trials and tribulations. ... It makes for a perfect ending. Because in all reality, no one is infallible. Not even cyborgs or their mates.

I had the pleasure of reading the Preyfinder series earlier this year and when I saw this book that connects I just could not resist reading it. Now I was slightly surprised though as this story is not set on Earth as the previous books were but far far away on a different planet and yet this does connect very strongly with events that changed the face of Earth forever.
Ella started out human like you and me but when the Bak Lal tried to invade Earth somehow Ella got caught up and irrevocably changed. Now she is off world working with traders but her memory of her life before is completely gone. Not only that but she hides an even bigger secret as in order to save her life physicians made her part cyborg . Unfortunately for Ella customs on this strange new world mean she ends up being captured and considered a slave! Now Ella is no fool and using her head she manages to convince the mercenary Torgeir to help her. So far so good and Ella is on her way back to her ship but there's something about her that very few know but it's about to get her into even more trouble. What of Torgeir though? Can he allow the beautiful Ella to completely slip away or will he follow the ancient customs of his people and want to claim her for his own?
This author has taken her readers on a wild adventure with this book. I loved that she finally got to stretch her sci fi muscles ( so to speak) and give us a story rich in technology and rife with completely insane but amazing possibilities. If you are looking for a futuristic story then this book will tick all your boxes. However as its Ms Silverwood it's not a dry tale no it's also an erotic romance with a slight touch of kink that's playful but never demeaning. This couple clearly complete each other in oh so many ways but Ella struggles to believe that Torgeir will still want her once he learns just what lies beneath her new skin. Add in an assortment of interesting supporting characters with a unique patois and then of course a rather unusual pet rock! Trust me you will read this and want a Mimi of your own. Bottom line though is this story went in directions both unexpected and at times sad. I loved the end with its message of hope and I sincerely hope the author gets inspired to write more in this universe.

This isn't a continuation of the previous series but it is set in the same world. Ella doesn't start off on earth but is on another planet in gets in trouble. Along comes Torgeir. And he is smitten right off the bat. Even though she is attracted to him she isn't smitten right off. Their love/bondmate grows and they do fall in love with each other. Now during all this you have the bad guys that are after her and they do a horrible thing, well multiple horrible things actually, no I'm not telling what it is or why. And she gets scared and runs from Torgeir, which brings me to one of my many issues in stories and that is COMMUNICATION!!!!! Any way I might be jumping the gun here but the book kind off leaves it open to a possible second book. And maybe the originals might pop by to say hi. The sex as usual is smoking hot and very kinky. Last thing is I never saw her secret coming. If you read the initial series you really need to pick this one up.

I rec'd an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Cybrella by Cari Silverwood is a story set in the Preyfinders world but this book is a standalone book so you don't need to be familiar with the other books in the Preyfinders Universe but I would highly recommend reading them if you haven't already.

This story revolves around Ella she is taken by Lord Torgeir who makes Ella his property until he sees fit but someone else wants Ella and will go to any lengths to get her.Ella discovers her past and who she is but will Togeir accept her or will he kill her when he finds out who/what she is?

As with all Cari Silverwoods books the reader can expect a well written thought out story that's full of twists and turns. It has a few surprises for fans who have read the Preyfinders books as well as action, suspense, intrigue and of course hot and steamy sex scenes that will require a cold shower after reading.

This book is a must for any erotic sci-fi fans so go and get your copy now.

This is a very good story, tangential to the Preyfinders trilogy, which I also liked a lot. Reading those will help you understand some of the back-story, but is not essential to this tale.

Ella gets taken/rescued by a possessive alpha who is on the good side, mostly. They try to avoid the lust-to-love path, and of course fail fabulously.

The world-building is very detailed, as are the sex scenes. Ella's skill with electronics is explored nicely without drowning in techno-babble. Her murky past is revealed in bits and pieces, which kept me intrigued, not frustrated. The supporting characters were unique without being stereotypes. The side story about cyborgs was deeper that I first realized.

The "nanite kiss" scene is inventive and very hot.

Some of the "big picture" stuff was not handled as well, but that's minor.

CS writes characters and settings very well, and her sex scenes range from simmer to sizzle.

In this book Ella finds herself hiding from several different people. It is set in the Preyfinders universe. Not really an extension of the Preyfinders series. There is a surprise in this book when Ella finds out her past! Her cybernetics are a mystery to her because she has no recollection of how she got them. She is "rescued" by Lord Torgeir and the game begins. There is another Lord looking for her and he does everything he can to capture her. She is so afraid Lord Torgeir will find out his enemy the Bak-lal are involved in her background that she runs away before their bond mate is complete.
There are scenes with rope bondage, alien sex and other kinky acts. This is definitely an adult read. After reading Preyfinders this was a very good choice for me because I had some background in the series. I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to most!

In Cyberella you have a heroine without a past and a hero who is putting part of his past behind him.

Ella doesn’t really know who she is or how she got to be the way she is. Finding out could be dangerous, but being left out of the loop is really annoying.

Strictly speaking, Ella is not a cyborg. Her neurocyber content is less than the legal limit of 25% that requires a person to be DC – Declared Cyborg. But the Sicar hate borgs and Torgeir Rakkel doesn’t know what she is. Well, not entirely anyway.

What Torgeir does know is that a) Ella is being hunted b) he is drawn to her and c) she is his bondmate. Hmm. How to make sure she stays with him. Or at the very least has a hard time leaving.

Torgeir’s method of making sure Ella sticks close by is two-fold. The first fold is a lot underhanded but insures he will always be able to find her. It does not make Ella happy. At all. The second fold is, well, also a bit underhanded. And while Ella may start out protesting, eventually she is purring. The erotic scenes in Cyberella are sexy and fun and through, them Ella and Torgeir really start to bond.

For both characters, I would have liked to learn more about their pasts. What Ella went through and why, are not definitively explained, just – sort of – mentioned. And while Torgeir talks about his past to Ella, the conversation is held off-page, which I found a bit frustrating. However, I jumped into a book set in the Preyfinders universe without having read any of the Preyfinders series. It is possible that the series might have put some perspective on my reading issues.

Ella’s character is a bit wishy washy. At times she is strong and purposeful. After all, she is smart and has some pretty awesome cyber alterations. But at other times, Ella is unsure and weak. Part of this is due to her unknown past. But there were times when I really wished she would stop with the self blame.

I enjoyed the world that Ms. Silverwood created in Cyberella. One of my favorite parts is the pyramid building that Ella and Torgeir lived in on the 183rd floor. With its labyrinthine access and its 15,000 residents, the building seems to have a life of it’s own on a planet that is covered by city. Despite the slum-like conditions, people appear to be content making do with whatever they have. It is a lively colorful world that is the backdrop for Ella’s mission to figure out her past. Included in that color is the team from Hack and Slash Cyber Repairers. At Hack and Slash, Ella finds three geeky friends. She also finds she as an affinity for the same kind of geekiness.

Ella also finds a pet —- rock. Really. Well, Mimi started as Torgeir’s pet, but she/it switched loyalties pretty quickly. Mimi is handy to have around and I started to look for the lovable little rock every time Ella got into trouble.

Cyberella has a lunatic evil villain. Remember, I mentioned that someone is looking for Ella. The lunatic’s motivation is pretty warped. But then again he is a lunatic. He didn’t have a big role until closer to the end. Up to then you only get a hint of him through anonymous communication with Henchman. Henchman was a predicable character. In the beginning, when I was reading the Henchman passages, I did not like his predictability. But as the story continued, I began to realize that he behaved like any typical (not very smart) henchman would. Care to guess what happens to lunatic and Henchman in the end?

If you have not read the Preyfinders books, you can still enjoy this standalone novel. Cyberella is a sexy, fun, gritty, fast-paced adventure set in a strange and wonderful universe. Having read Cyberella, the rest of the Preyfinders books are on my TBR list. I think that is enough of a recommendation!

Through NetGalley, the author provided a copy of this book so in exchange for an honest review.

Cyberella

Cari Silverwood

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review by Net Galley.

I have been following this author for quite some time now. Her writing is quite unique and allows us a bit of alien science fiction with large doses on take charge sex scenes and sweet tender loving. This story comes through on all of those areas.

Ella is a special kind of girl, not quite all human, but not all cyber being also. Her past in crowded in mysery and even she is not sure of what exactly her body make-up truly exists of. After some bad luck and ever worse planning she finds herself captured by Torgeir. He is everything that she wants physically and sexually but the holes in her past hold her pack from truly bonding with her whole heart.

Torgeir wants her, he knows he wants her and is truly her knight in shining armour as he sets about trying to convince her of this.

The thing I like most about this author is her ability to weave the whole story together and make it about more that just sex. Now the sex in this book is frequent and rocking but the alien lifestyle adds so much to the story line. The descriptions of what she is doing, and the aliens that she befriends just add so much to this story. I loved the boy whose legs she is trying to fix, the bird she is trying to sing and the pet rock Mimi, well I need one of those.

Cari Silverwood is one of my go-to authors that I can count on to provide a good solid story that will provide me with great entertainment. I easily give this story a 5/5.

I received a copy of this ebook for free for my unbiased opinion. This is the first book that I have ever read about the Preyfinders and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It hooked me from the beginning and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. The author did a great job writing this story and giving good amount of detail where it was needed. I would have liked more in spots of where there were questions raised as to the validity of certain things put into the story but overall I was very pleased.
Ella is a human from earth who is just a small percentage away from being declared a cyborg, something she wishes to avoid. She is on a foreign planet when she meets Torgeir. He helps her out of a bad situation only for her to find herself in yet another because someone out there wants her...bad. Torgeir feels that there is something between them and so does Ella but her human side fights it for awhile. But he wont go away once he realizes the truth and once she realizes it...she wont want him to leave her.
This is a really good book whether you are a fan of the Preyfinders universe or if this is a book that you have stumbled upon by accident. Either way I encourage you to read it. Yes, there is sex involved but it only adds to the enjoyment and spice of this out of this world story.

I have just recently discovered this genre thanks to Cari Silverwood. I was already a huge fan of her darker, BDSM stories and then I read her Preyfinders series and became totally enthralled with this world and theses people, so when I saw Cyberella I just had to read it. Loved it. Takes place on varies planets with a great new huge cast of aliens and one strong altered human female and even stronger, dominant, sexy alien man. Once again I was transported to a very well described world. This and Preyfinders needs to be made into a tv series. Are you listening HBO or Sci-Fi channel. The writing is absolutely wonderful, the sex amazing but then no surprise there considering who the author is. I tend to read a lot of darker, need to watch cute kitten videos after reading stories but this book as well as the Preyfinders series has been refreshing. Don't get me wrong there are bad guys here, the I wanna rule the universe and will do whatever I need to do that kinda crazy, there's what I would consider light BDSM and lots of freaking hot sex. A great, entertaining, sexy read. I hope this is not the last of this world, I would love to read more. Thanks Cari for a wonderful, twisted imagination and the ability and talent to be able to put pen to paper and share it with us all.

I received Cyberella as an ARC (advance reader's copy) book from NetGalley. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. I didn't find the story matched the blurb description. Was the synopsis wrong? Not totally, but the first half of story seemed to revolve around Ella being chased for the sake of (sexual?) slavery, and ending up enslaved anyway. I intensely dislike the faux-rape scenarios when a woman says no, yet gives in to pressure. I would have skipped the book if the blurb had implied this was a main thread in the plot. I also had trouble with the character development, as I never felt Ella had a "never-ending struggle" for self-acceptance. Yeah, there were a few passing thoughts, but no angst or regrets. The story was good, the blurb could be better, but this story line was not for me. While not a great read for me (3.5), my dislike, is not enough to penalize the writer for a decent story-- the overall plot was pretty good, and she obviously has a fan base to enjoy the plot so I rounded up to a 4. I would have preferred better disclosure.

Ive waited paitently for each book in this series and loved them. Cyberelly (the name lol so-so) but I loved the rest of it. Cari Silverwood's books are just entertaining part will make you laugh, some will make you scratch your head. I think I reread a part or two. Cari's subtle twists blends and balances the story.

This is a stand alone, but the others are well worth the read. A full novel and characters full of personality. Detail mixed with scorthing hotness, fan your face sex and often.

Ela just may not get to where she is going, After meeting Torgeir she may not want to. But see there's something janky going on. Ela's been snatched and unsnatched and has no clue why, but she is important to someone. Torgeir is a Lord but not, mostly when it gets him something he wants, he actually is a retired Lord ha! Catching a beauty is isn't that quick to want to let go. Basically bond mating, code stamping, body snatching, and pretty colors surfacing. Its all about the crazy sexy Sci Fi adventure that Cari creates for us. so grab, get it get it read and enjoy. Consider this book recommended Enjoy

This was my first introduction to Cari Silverwood & the Preyfinders Universe, but it certainly won't be the last.

Cyberella is listed as a stand alone that takes place in the Preyfinders Universe. Silverwood does a great job of world building in this installment so I never felt like I was missing anything by not having read the others, but I've already picked them up as I *definitely* need more.

Ella & Torgeir have some very steamy, BDSMy moments. The bondmating is a similar concept to that used in many shifter stories, but requires multiple sessions of the in & out to finish the deed. This causes a bit of a problem when Ella & Torgeir aren't fully mated and someone tries to come in and steal her away for his own nefarious purposes.

This was a great, quick, smutty read. Some of the dialog gets a bit jumbled and is a bit awkward, but overall well worth checking out.

A wonderful addition to the Preyfinders Universe! This is a stand-alone so if you haven’t read any other the other Preyfinders books, it is not an issue however, you can buy the Trilogy now in a combined book and I would highly recommend 3 books for the price of one. This is the story of Ella, after the Bak-lal were defeated on Earth, Ella was rescued and now she is not really human nor Cyborg and not sure who she can trust with that information. Ella escapes after being made a slave only to be captured by Torgeir who makes a deal to free her, however someone wants to buy her badly, but who and why and can Torgeir keep her safe as he shows Ella that they really belong together? Action packed and the sexy scenes are amazing! Great Read!

I enjoyed that this was a surprising character I did not expect from the series. Recommended to read the previous Preyfinders to get the gist of what both haunts and drives Ella. I feel the only unresolved issues are with all the secondary characters. I want to know how things went with them and if they forgave, joined or just gave up on her. Also maybe a little more on how Ella redeems herself with the Concer would have been nice. Loved her little nerdy friends!

Nice palate cleanser. More erotica with sf elements than sf with erotic elements, but that was what I was expecting going in. Spaceships, aliens, and cyborgs. D/s, a Dom into bondage and control, a sub into relinquishing control. A bonding ritual between an alien male and a cybernetically enhanced Earth born female. Quick sexy read.

I didn't like this story as well as I did the others in the Preyfinder series. The main reason I didn't like this one as well is that the relationship between Ella and Torgeir just didn't seem believable to me. She went from being determined to steer clear of him and almost hating him. To being madly in love with him the next day with really no explanation as to why that was. At least in the Preyfinder series there was the nano-chem to label a reason as to why the women were so darn crazy for the guys.. This story.. you don't even have that as a reason as she wasn't given any of that. It just wasn't that believable to me and that killed a lot of my enjoyment of the story.

Another reason I didn't enjoy it was the slave code that was put into her. That should have made her livid, she should have been spitting mad over it when she found out... and yet when she found out other then saying take it out and then bargaining with him to get him to take it out (which he never did). She just let it go like somebody told her some trivial thing that she didn't agree with and then went merrily on her way to falling in love with him. Made no sense to me what so ever.

It has been a while since I read the Preyfinders, but I did like them, and this was just as interesting. Great world building, with lots of heat between the characters, and a balance of intrigue and mystery to move the plot along
