Guys! I'm starting to think I am defected, this is the third low rating book I've read in a row. What is going on? Is is me, am I the problem???
Answer to my own question: No, I refuse to believe I am the issue.
Anywho, this book did not do it for me. Dane finds out that he has a daughter after his ex-girlfriend dies in a car accident. Not knowing what to do or how to handle his grieving daughter he ropes his assistant, Pamela, into being his nanny. She insists that Dane take a break for a month and go on vacation with his daughter and, at his insistence, Pam goes too. While on their trip Dane and Pam start to see each other differently and realize how perfect they are together.
I didn't feel the connection between Pam and Dane since most of the book was focused on Dani and her problems. I started to feel like the book was about Dane being a father and getting Dani to trust him and that Pam was just the person to help with that, as if she wasn't a main character. There was no romance until after halfway through the book, and by then I was just really bored with it. The ending was just thrown together and there was so much going on that I was so confused and couldn't enjoy it.
Overall, this was a sweet story of a father trying to become close to his grieving daughter but that's not why I was reading it. I was expecting more romance than what there was, so I was disappointed and bored while reading it.

Well wow... that was one long book!
You can probably tell with how long it took me to finish it. Now I know this probably sounds a bit hypocritical cause I'm always up for long books and always criticise short reads but this just dragged on a little longer than necessary I think. I feel bad cause the author writes so well and vividly and with so much detail but I just couldn't connect with her characters the way I like to.
Having said that I could've just been a little off while reading it so if you're considering reading this then go for it cause it is such a beautiful story and concept and wonderfully written too! All in all, it wasn't for me but it was still a good read.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between
While this has alot of the elements that I’m normally all over like white on rice, I really struggled with this read. It had a slow start, and Dane and Pam were missing a spark of chemistry between them. But the worst part is because I wasn’t engaged in it, I was bored and towards the end I couldn’t help but skim.
Danielle was a cute kid going through a rough time, and Dane was an awkward parent, even with all the characters saying how great he was. As a side note, exclamation points - there were alot of them. Enough that it distracted me because it felt forced, almost an attempt to engender some type of excitement, but it was just irksome.
The Bottom Line
I wanted to like it, but I couldn’t connect with the writing. If you like boss/assistant romances and surprise kids, you may enjoy it more than I did.

That's right, four stars from the author. Dane Bergman is pretty awesome, if I say it myself. And honestly, what kind of writer would I be if I didn't fall a little in love with my characters? Why not five? Because there's always things I wish I could change, after I write The End. Always. Make of this what you will...

So millionaire Dane finds out that he has a 4 year old daughter and, having no idea how to even approach a child, recruits his personal assistant, Pam, to help him out. I mean, you've got the trauma that the daughter, Dani, is going through having lost her mother and her not wanting anything to do with Dane. Pam on the other hand, Dani loves to death. So Dane seriously oversteps his bounds and asks his assistant to take on nanny duties. She has no backbone and ends up accepting because she is heartbroken about Dani and wants them to bond. Their inability to do so with Dane working all the time is what prompts Pam to suggest a month on an island getaway...but Dane insists Pam come too. Of course things go beyond friendship pretty much right from the start because, to Dane, Pam steps right outside the assistant box and into the realm of interesting woman.
I'm with other reviewers here that say the relationship between Dane and his daughter overshadows the romance here. Not to say that was bad necessarily, it just depends on what you're looking for. I for one thought the difficulties between Dane and Dani were positively heartbreaking and very well written. Everytime Dani turned away the food that Dane spent time and effort making for her, everytime she refused to come near him or reached out for Pam when he tried to hold her. It gutted me to read it. But you can't dislike Dani because she's just a four year old girl dealing with her grief in her own way and wanting a mommy, not a daddy. I give major props to the author for being able to write this relationship so well. Unfortunately, Dane and Pam sort of pale in comparison. And Pam honestly frustrated me because it felt like instead of trying to facilitate the bond between Pam and Dani, she was trying to establish her own with Dani. Instead of trying to get Dani to see Dane in a positive light, it seemed like she kept stepping into do what Dane couldn't because Dani didn't like him.
One thing I definitely appreciated about this story was the more realistic depiction of what happens when an office romance gets out (at least between the boss and his PA). Pam's credibility was basically destroyed and gossip started going around (something I feel like Pam should have been much more proactive about considering everyone knew she was going away on vacation with Dane). But Pam ups and leaves and this is Dane's wakeup call. I also liked that Dane made real progress and development as a character. From self-interested bachelor to caring father and being willing to put himself out there for Pam. It's nice to see character growth. This was a longer story than some of the others in this series, but it was an emotionally engaging one, so I didn't mind it so much.

Leo. The fifth sign of the zodiac. Leos are known to be confident, ambitious, and generous. However, they are also known to be melodramatic and stubborn. These qualities definitely describe Dane Bergman.
Dane is a self-made millionaire restaurateur. He came from nothing to become a major success. He’s confident, larger than life, and generous. He pretty much rolls with the punches, has no problem using money to get what he wants, but likes to have things in a nice little box. Children have never been in his plan or on his radar.
Pamela Atwater is Dane’s personal assistant and right hand. Without her, The Bergman Group wouldn’t run smoothly. Pamela is so invested and perhaps unknowingly puts aside her personal life for Dane and the company. She knows what women find attractive about Dane, but she’s smart enough to keep her distance and not become another one of Dane’s Dimbos. (Or so she thinks.) Interestingly enough, Pamela is the longest female relationship the Great Dane Bergman has had.
When Dane suddenly discovers he’s the father and only living relative of a four-year-old little girl he knew nothing about, he turns to the only person he can trust, Pamela. Of course, good old Pamela is there to help bachelor Dane transform into the father and man she knows he can be. Unfortunately for them, that sounds easier than it truly is.
I knew poor Dane was going to be put through the ringer by his four-year-old daughter, Danielle “Dani”. I just didn't know how bad I would feel for him, or how much I would laugh in the process. From fighting over food to being afraid to enter a bathroom where Dani has been in for twenty minutes, these two definitely butt heads. But there is no denying that Dane loves Dani and would do anything for her.
I really like the way Roxanne captured a four-year-old. Maybe at times, she had Dani saying things a four-year-old wouldn't, but overall she nailed it. I loved the way Roxanne through Pam forced Dane to look at his past and got him to compromise a little. Or maybe that was Dani. I was surprised by the little unexpected curveball in the story. But I loved it and it made the story that much more endearing.
Over the course of about two months, Dane goes from a bachelor to a father and finally truly discovers what love is all about. His relationship with Pam does grow and turns intimate. Of course, when Pam’s fears become reality, Dane finds himself out of his element once again. I’m a huge fan of grand gestures and Dane definitely used what is considered to be a fault in Leos to his advantage.
I found The Millionaire Daddy Project seemingly perfect. Roxanne portrayed the father/daughter give and take relationship to a tee. I loved the way we got to see Dane grow as a person and the bond between him and Dani form. This story reminds me of why I’m a Roxanne Snopek fan.

I read this novel as part of the Men of the Zodiac box set but I will be trying to review each novel individually.
As I go through this anthology I have noticed that the stories have got a lot more old skool romance plots with more modern smexy times which can sometimes lead to a dissonance. Anyway, the premise is that each man has, for one reason or another, got a tattoo from a mysterious tattoo artist of his astrological sign. No matter that most men don't know their star sign and would probably struggle to know what image represents their sign even if they did!
This is the tried and trusted billionaire's secret baby crossed with billionaire falls for his trusted assistant. Who of course is considered plain and boring until she (metaphorically) takes off her glasses and then "why, Miss Jones you are so beautiful".
Dane Bergman had a troubled childhood in and out of foster homes. Now a successful restaurateur he is stunned when a social worker arrives out of the blue to tell him that a former girlfriend has died and he is the father of a four year old daughter, Danielle.
Danielle is half precocious, half spoilt brat. Immediately afraid of Dane she bonds with his executive assistant Pamela Atwater. When everything he does and says is wrong Pam suggests he takes Dani to his island getaway so that they can really start to know each other - Dane agrees, on the condition that Pam joins them.
I thought Dane's frustrations with Dani were very realistic (speaking as someone who has a niece aged four and three-quarters). She wants Mac'n'Cheese so he makes her fresh macaroni and four cheeses with breadcrumbs made from bread he made himself - she hates it. He makes her scrambled eggs with a sprig of parsley and she acts as though he tried to poison her. It's been done before (I'm thinking of the Catherine Zeta-Jones film where she is a chef and inherits her niece when her sister dies) but it still resonates.
What I found more problematic was events when they returned to work .
Anyway, nothing wrong with this book per se, just not my tropes of choice.

At A Glance
The beginning was slow but the story was enjoyable.
The Good
This story was adorable. The concept of a hard working, playboy millionaire finding out he has a four year old daughter (Dani) was perfect. So much struggle, so much drama. Loved it! The Millionaire Daddy Project was heartfelt, realistic, and interesting.
Dane is in no way ready to take care of Dani, so he enlists the help of Pam, his amazing assistant. I love how Dane, Pam, and Dani’s relationship grew in a genuine way. There were a lot of rough patches. Dani has just lost her mom and she is scared and feels alone. It really pulled at the heartstrings. Pam was amazing with her, making her feel comfortable, but Dane was a mess at first. But he slowly learned how to be a dad.
I could totally see these three becoming a happy family, which I think was the goal.
The Bad
Dear God was the beginning slow. I just wanted something to happen! It took forever though.
I wasn’t on the Dane and Pam train for quite some time. I just didn’t feel the connection, except for attraction. It got better, but never 100%. Not my favorite couple, but not the worst either.
The Snuggly
The sex is pretty minimal, but this book didn’t need lots of hot sex. It worked for the story and I felt satisfied.
Final Thoughts
I was happy with the book overall. It was a simple, cute read. I just wish there was more oomph, more connection. Recommended.

This sweet and touching romance is the story of Dane and Pam, and a little girl named Dani. When playboy millionaire Dane unexpectedly becomes the sole parent of a daughter he never knew he had, his assistant Pamela becomes his lifeline, helping to bridge the gap between the new family. But crossing the line from a business relationship to a personal one comes with its challenges and before they know it, Dane and Pam must make some crucial decisions that will affect them and his company. I enjoyed this story, though for me it had a bit of a slow start, and I wasn't really sure how I felt about Dane and Pam at the beginning. They grew on me though, Dane in particular as his playboyish ways morphed into those of a loving and caring father. I don't know why I expected this book to be a bit more explicit. I guess it was the part of the synopsis that talks about how Dane takes control and gives all kinds of pleasure, but this is book is more of a sweet romance than a sexy story of an alpha male.
I love a good surprise baby/child story, especially when it involves a hot single dad who has no clue what he's doing but still wants to try as hard as he can. I can't say that it was always smooth sailing for Dane or that I liked his particular brand of trying, AKA pawning the hard stuff off on Pamela, but knowing that it was more about his cluelessness than the size of his heart made it a little easier to accept.
The relationship between Pamela and Dani was adorable and heartbreaking at the same time. I did cry when it was obvious that Dane was hurting and longing for Dani to look at him as a safe haven, as someone she could love and trust. Luckily, Pamela was the glue that held it all together, even if her heart was slowly breaking at the same time.
This story was a little sad, a whole lot of sweet and something I would read again when I'm in need of a light-hearted story to pick me up.

I love a good surprise baby/child story, especially when it involves a hot single dad who has no clue what he's doing but still wants to try as hard as he can. I can't say that it was always smooth sailing for Dane or that I liked his particular brand of trying, AKA pawning the hard stuff off on Pamela, but knowing that it was more about his cluelessness than the size of his heart made it a little easier to accept.
The relationship between Pamela and Dani was adorable and heartbreaking at the same time. Sometimes it's the simple things kids want and thank goodness Pam was there every step of the way for Dane, "any chance you’ve got Skippy peanut butter for toast in the morning?” His mouth opened, but he said nothing. He lifted his hands, then let them drop. “It’s okay, Dane. We’ll manage." Pam is a little shy and Dane doesn't care who needs him and his girl:
"Someone’s coming!” she hissed. “Maybe I should fall down the stairs. It would explain this.” She gestured to her outfit.
Dane grinned and looked down at his pants. “Wouldn’t explain that, though, would it?"

Really loved this story! The hero was quite the project and it was so fun to see him conquered by love. I also love books with small children that help bring the hero and heroine together and little Dani was adorable.

How can you not adore this book! There is humor galore. There is a sweet and funny and sometimes willful four year old. There is a perfect assistant who gets the job done and stays professional even though she would love to be more. There is an island and a month vacation on it! And of course, every child’s favorite macaroni and cheese even if the main cook cringes over it! And in the end- on the island, three people learn to become a family!
So anyway, Dane is a man who is a wealthy business man and who helps his staff out and knows how to talk to adults and get what he needs and help with things that they need. Until one day, staff wants him to start an in-house day care for those that needed day care while they were working. Dane wasn’t having that. But Karma has a way to bite you in the butt! A woman from Social Services comes and tells him that he is the father of a child whose mother died in a car accident. She was five years old and her name is Danielle, or Dani, and the mother was someone whom Dane had spent time with 5 years ago. He didn’t believe it was his. But looking at Dani he saw himself. After DNA tests prove him to be the father, he decides he will take care of her and provide the best for her. He just doesn’t know what to do with her. How to talk to her. Dani is scared and doesn’t like Dane and cries. But Pam, Dane’s right hand assistant and who gets everything Dane needs done, is who Dani clings to.
Dani clings so much to Pam that Dane doesn’t know what to do except to get Pam to help him. Which really boils down to her doing everything. Not that Dane can’t but he doesn’t want her to reject him and isn’t sure how to set boundaries and be a parent. So Dane gets Pam to come to his home and put her to bed and buy Dani's bed and furniture and anything else Dane is afraid to do. Dani continues to cry and steer clear of Dane and cling to Pam. As a parent myself that would be heartbreaking, whether or not you just found out you had a child.
I enjoyed watching Dane learn to be a father, something he didn’t have growing up (foster care) until he ended up with the one family who taught him to go after his dreams and helped him succeed in life.
Pam loves Dani off the bat, but knows that Dane needs to learn how to take care of her. So she suggests he go to his little island oasis for one month where there is little internet and phone access. Dane says ok with the stipulation that she go as well.
Pam has liked Dane for a long time but kept herself professional because she liked her job and knew it to be inappropriate to have a relationship with him. Dane is known for having relationships that last 2.5 seconds. She doesn’t want to go to the island because it will seem like they are having an affair to the other staff and things would be different and she knew it couldn’t work out. But Dani needed Pam too, so she agrees.
So, on this beautifully described island oasis the three of them hang out. Dane is a good cook but he likes healthy versions of things and a four year old isn’t having anything to do with it. She wants her box of Macaroni and Cheese! Dane is trying but afraid. He is lost.
So Pam teaches him that he has the skill and the love to be a parent. There are many tender moments of them all learning and becoming a family. But Pam knows that he won’t need her for long once he gets the hang of it.
Then Dane starts to realize he really cares for Pam too and when he acts on it, Pam goes back and forth, wanting to be with Dane but knowing it would ruin her career there.
So for me, the book was centered on becoming a family. Not just a love story. That’s what I really liked. That’s what did it for me! Watching them all come together and love each other was so sweet! The other huge thing for me that got me was that the relationship between Pam and Dane didn’t go to the next step until about 70% into the book. They really got to know each other and Dane starts to realize there's more to Pam than just a very hard working woman and that she has given up a lot of her personal life to do whatever Dane needed.
The book was easy to read, I loved the characters. I could visualize everything in my head and now I want to go to an island and relax for a month. Can someone make this into a movie, please!?!
What I didn’t like was that I couldn’t always feel the chemistry between the Pam and Dane. I know, it sounds fickle after what I said above! The family aspect, I think, overrode the couple’s chemistry. That’s still okay because I still enjoyed the book. Another thing I didn’t care for was the name Pam; I didn’t like it, it’s just ordinary. Pam is the back bone to the company. And the cover is something else I didn’t understand. If the story is more on the three of them and he is always dressed to impress and rarely without a shirt except on the beach, why would that be the cover? I know the author doesn’t always get to choose the cover. It’s just my opinion.
But, I still love every book that Roxanne Snopek has written; this one included!

“You let them see aspects of yourself you usually keep hidden. It’s about showing someone you care for them, wanting them to care for you, doing things they like because you want them to be happy. Because their happiness makes you happy. That’s love, Dane. That’s how you’ll win…. your daughter over.” He stood up and went to the stone steps. He didn’t do that kind of stuff. He bought flowers, or jewelry. A princess bed and matching dresser. And he’d never bought Pam anything because…….”

I'm a sucker for a good second chance story. Add in a single dad, true love, and kids, and I'm sold. This book, for me, was a feel-good read that pulled at my heartstrings more than once. The growth of Dane was fun to watch as he sorted out the change for himself with the help of someone very special to him (maybe even a couple of people that meant the world to him). Highly recommend this book if you enjoy reading with your heart on your sleeve.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Millionaire Daddy Project, Roxanne Snopek did a good job creating a story about love and second chances.
Pamela Atwater has always enjoyed working for Dane Bergman, she knows what she has to do to protect him and his company, and that exactly what she is good at. The perk of working as Dane's assistant is that she gets to spend all her time with him, it doesn't even hurt that he is handsome and a millionaire playboy. But that soon changes when a social worker comes to see Dane demanding that he takes care of the little girl he left behind. A shocked and speechless Pamela doesn't know how act, but she is determine to fix and take control over the situation. What she doesn't realized is that the walls that she has put around her are about to be destroyed the minute she gives up all control.
For millionaire playboy, Dane Bergman success comes easily him. He has all that he wants, a successful empire and loyal people working by his side. Yet the news of his old lover come to him when he least expects them and he soon finds himself learning how to become a father to his four-year-old girl. Her mother passed away, and now it's his duty to protect what is his, but no one told him how hard fatherhood was going to be. Now he has to rely on his loyal assistant, Pamela, to teach him how to be the perfect father. But the minute she suggests him to take a month off his schedule to spend time with his daughter, all hell breaks lose and he soon finds himself attracted to the very same person that has always been with him, and he wonders if he can stop being a playboy to become a devoted father and perhaps start a relationship with Pamela in the end.
I really like the writing in the book, and the characters. Pamela is a hard working assistant who hides her attraction for her boss very well. She spend all the time with him, and really has learned to understand him. When they find out that Dane has a daughter, she immediately steps up and takes care of Dani. On the other hand, Dane is your typical millionaire playboy who has everything he desires, but is also afraid of becoming a father. When they go off to one of his islands for a month, things start to change and that's when the story really starts to change for the characters. They have instant chemistry that works well throughout the story, and in the end everything is just sweet and romantic. I especially liked the epilogue. Overall, if your looking for the perfect romance story I highly recommend giving this story a try. It is fulled with cute moments and steamy scenes as well. :)

The Millionaire Daddy Project is yet another fantastic contemporary romance by the ever-talented Roxanne Snopek. The story centers around the complicated, sometimes over-dependent relationship between Dane Bergman, the CEO of a multi-million dollar line of restaurants, and Pamela Atwater, his assistant and lifeline in the corporate world.
The book was fast-paced, easy to read, and nearly flawless in execution (I found one typo—but I’m not going to hold that against it… it was an ARC copy after all). The chemistry between Pam and Dane was sizzling and understated in the best possible way, and I had no trouble being caught up in their relationship. It didn’t feel rushed or forced. In fact, I originally sat down with the intent to read a few chapters late last night, and before I knew it, it was 2 AM and I was 86% of the way in. I was utterly sucked into the story.
Though Pam and Dane were not my usual favorites as a couple—both were a little more tight-laced than what I expected—I fell in love with them regardless. I wanted them to succeed both as a couple, and as a team as they worked to win over Dane’s daughter, Dani. Though the main theme of the book centered around the romance between Pam and Dane, there were some definite undercurrents of redemption, humanity, and forgiveness—and I ate it up with a metaphorical spoon.
Overall, I loved the book. I’m a huge fan of formulaic romance, and though this certainly fit into that category, it didn’t feel like a formulaic romance. The characters held a lot of depth. There wasn’t an over-abundance of the misunderstandings or melodramatic drama that usually plagues these types of novels, and though, yes, there was an epilogue to tie up the story (as there usually is in formulaic romance), it felt genuine. Rather than an after shot of the happy couple either getting married or giggling over an unexpected pregnancy, Pam and Dane stood side-by-side in solidarity, on equal terms in their partnership till the very end. It didn’t feel cheesy or overdone, just… complete.
If you like romance and you’re looking for a heart-warming tale filled with family and a bit of an off-limits romance, you’re going to like this book. I urge you to give it a read—it’s certainly going on my keeper shelf.

3.5 stars. A gorgeous, successful boss, his dowdy but efficient secretary, an unexpected four-year-old thrust into the fray and an isolated island getaway for maximum bonding time. What could possibly go wrong? After all, Dane is so thoroughly in control of his life and everyone he meets loves him – surely his newfound daughter will too? And if she doesn’t not to worry, because the ever-efficient Pam is on hand to save the day! Hopefully…
I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I actually felt sorry for Dane through much of this book. I know Dani is only four years old and grieving for her missing mother, but wow, she really knew what spots to hit to make Dane feel as bad as could be. And as supportive as Pamela is, she doesn’t really help since Dani always knows she can run to her rather than having to tough it out with Dane occasionally. Dane surprised me by his sweetness actually, and even his clueless cooking was sweet, especially with the bread and how he persisted even in the face of Dani’s fervent disapproval.
Then again, perhaps I didn’t feel all that bad for Dane, considering his wildly successful company and the fact that he runs Pam into the ground with all the things he gets her to do. Although for someone perfectly capable of standing up to Dane, it’s not like she does much to dissuade him from taking complete professional advantage of her. When it comes to the more emotional side of things… well, I think they make plenty use of each other there.
Sure, this is a familiar tale told without any big surprises, but it’s fun in places, sweet in others and little Dani is a master at making her disapproval known. I think I would have liked to have seen some scenes that were just Dane and Dani rather than Pam always being around. As nice as it is that they make such a perfect family, I would have enjoyed some father-daughter time too. There’s also a too-perfect resolution to one of the side plots that almost tipped things over the sugary barrier for me.
However, if you want something easy and fairly quick with a truly romantic pay-off at the end, then this will tick all the right boxes. A sweet escape with a pleasant hint of sexiness thrown in.

Wow, what a great book from new to me author Roxanne Snopek. The Millionaire Daddy Project lives up to its title, with twists and turns that kept me happily entertained. The two primary characters, millionaire restaurateur Dane Bergman, and his delightfully smart assistant Pamela Atwater, have amazing yet complicated chemistry, and their unique relationship is fun to be a part of. This is a fast-paced contemporary romance with great characters and a thoroughly engaging plot.
Dane and Pamela have worked together for years, and their relationship thus far has been purely professional. Pamela is Dane's right-hand woman and she basically runs the company and his life, while he focuses on the food creations and new business development. Unfortunately, Pamela's social life is virtually non-existent. When Dane finds out he has a four-year-old daughter, it is Pam that he turns to for advice, support and guidance. Dani, Dane's newly discovered daughter, is who ultimately brings them together.
I really enjoyed this story, however there were a few instances that I found difficult to fathom. Nevertheless, Dane and Pamela are perfect for each other, even though it takes them a while to figure it out. They are likeable, smart and hot, both in and out of the bedroom. Ms. Snopek does a nice job of evolving their rocky relationship and Dane's ability to understand love. Dani gives the story a cuteness factor and charm, that only adds to the well-conceived plot. Overall, a captivating read that should definitely be added to your TBR list.

Ms. Snopek does a nice job of evolving their rocky relationship and Dane's ability to understand love. Dani gives the story a cuteness factor and charm, that only adds to the well-conceived plot. Overall, a captivating read that should definitely be added to your TBR list.

I like stories with fathers, including new fathers that suddenly learn they have a kid. It’s fun to see them trying to figure things out. :-)
That is the case for Dane in this story, he learns he has a little girl and now he’s the only one who can take care of her. I liked to see the changes he went through from ruthless CEO to worried father, he really was clueless, lol.
He also had the help of his assistant Pamela, who pretty much ran his life. She was great with the little girl, and I loved the bond they shared. She was also a great person, constantly putting others ahead of herself. I really wanted her to be selfish at times and get her way.
Dane made a lot of mistakes when it came to his daughter, it was frustrating to see how he pretty much ordered Pam to care for the child, instead of doing it himself. I get getting frustrated but come on, she was your kid, not Pam’s, dude. He did learn, though, so I was glad for it.
There was also romance between Pam and Dane, which personally, didn’t do much for me. I don’t know what it was, but I could never really see him with Pam. He was really cold at the beginning and even though that changed during the story, I still felt it. I simply just couldn’t like him all the way. He wasn’t a bad guy, really, there was just something off about him that I can’t quite pin point.
I did like Pam, though, and thought she was great overall, and because of that I wanted more for her. She really deserved it.
Still, the story is entertaining and kept me interested until the end.

Tugged heartstings? Check. Cute and stubborn little girl? Check. Clueless new daddy? Check. Helpful female assistant? Check? Recipe for romance? Absolutely!
Dane had a horrendous childhood. He even changed his name in hopes of leaving it all behind. His gal Friday, Pam, is always there for him and the thought never enters his mind that she is anything but an asexual work-a-holic. Everything changes when Dane's ex-girlfriend dies and leaves him a four-year-old daughter he never knew about.
If things weren't already complicated, they go thermonuclear pretty quick. When Dane and his daughter, Dani, need some serious bonding time, Pam accompanies them to Dane's private island home. Being in such close quarters, Dane gets an unexpected jolt to his libido in the form of Pam's sexy curves.
Snopek creates the perfect atmosphere for sparks to ignite between Pam and Dane. What she also does is fully develop both her main characters. I LOVED that! I could really relate to Pam and Dane that way. When a scary incident occurs with Dani, I was right there panicking with Dane. When Pam's heart was breaking, I was tearing up and sniffling right along with her.
The best thing for me is what I like to call the "dessert" portion of the book, the happily ever after. If the dessert doesn't leave you satisfied, you won't eat it again. Snopek created a unique and tasty "dessert", one that will have me sampling the rest of her work to get the same thrilling experience.

Unexpected and heartwarming!
Just about every aspect of THE MILLIONAIRE DADDY PROJECT went against my tastes. Not a big fan of the boss-underling trope. Not into millionaire romances. And from the start Dane Bergman is aloof and clueless. But I'm one to trust my gut when I choose what I read and Roxanne Snopek has been an author I've taken a chance on time and time again with stories that I wouldn't normally reach for only to be wowed. TMDP is no exception.
Dane is one of the first heroes I've read that made me want to throw a book across the room because he was so frustratingly not-with-it. Giving him a child he didn't know existed made me terrified for the little girl. He's an excellent businessman but a daddy? Impossible. And he fails over and over and over and I spent so much of the book tense and frustrated and wishing I could throttle him. Yet, he kept trying and so I kept trying to like him and somewhere along the journey as he grew I started to soften up and see the potential in him just as Pam did. She's so good for him that I felt like he was getting way more out of their relationship than she could ever get.
This is a romance to be sure and it's sexy and oh-so-good but ultimately I felt like it was more of a story of becoming a family. Your mileage may vary on how you feel about that kind of story but I absolutely loved it. Pam and Dane have both had hard lives that make their becoming a family with his daughter such a sweet and rewarding read I can't recommend it enough to those craving a really hard-won happily ever after.

Another cute story from Roxanne Snopek’s camp of love stories, “The Millionaire Daddy Project” has the handsome and successful Dane Bergman at a loss when he finds himself at the receiving end of an adorable five-year old girl – his daughter. Playboy days are over and Daddy days leave him in total chaos and stress-filled days and sleepless nights.
And being the charmer her is, he manipulates his ever efficient, perfect and beautiful assistant Pamela Atwater to help him from a fast death and become a devil in the eyes of his daughter. A month long get away on sandy beaches brings lot of growing pains of raising a child, a child missing her dead mother, a playboy who would do anything to become the father his child deserves, and the spark of attraction that ignites between Dane and Pam just adds more sizzle to this book.
I liked Dane as the ruthless successful businessman, yet has the heart of gold. I loved the way Roxanne took the story to a few surprises. It added charm and mystery to the package. Pam was super adorable as the super efficient secretary, always protecting Dane, humble and kind as she helps run the company, and as the woman who lost her heart to her boss, just adds so much more depth to her character.
And I’m not sure what it is, but the ending was just very sweet and apt. Must be the way Roxanne narrated it, but I loved it and the entire book leaves with a good feeling of love and romance.

This book was thoroughly enjoyable. I really fell hard for Dane, even if I felt he was a bit ridiculously over-the-top on his food snobbishness. I'm sorry, but the little girl is just that...and he expected her to instantly adore gourmet mac & cheese?! Granted, that was definitely a stumbling block to his growth as a human being, but still it really grated on me and is probably the only thing I didn't enjoy in this book.
I loved seeing the growing heat and attraction between Dane and Pamela. These two really deserved each other and I was happy to see how Dane grew into the man that Pamela really deserved. He was a good man, just not set up to be a daddy, though that was hardly his fault that the mother of his child never mentioned the child to him.
I also liked the subplot Ms. Snopek included which led to the discovery of the little girl's grandmother and how the grandmother tied into the continuing growth of Dane's actual business - in other words, I really felt like Dane came across as a full person, not just a romance hero. Thank goodness for his assistant Pam. She takes care of everything for him. She always has. He thinks that he can just have her set everything up from nannies to private school for his daughter. He wants to give her everything he never had. But Pam has other ideas. She wants him to build a relationship with his daughter and sets out to make this happen.
When she suggests he take a month and go to his private retreat to connect with his daughter he agrees but insist she come along to help with the transition. She is reluctant but agrees. This is where the story heats up between them and you find out about Dane's past.
Putting the two of them together outside of work brings out the attraction that both of them have managed to fight previously. And dealing with a very precocious 5 year old is changing him. He starts to want more from his life. Unfortunately the month is up before he makes his move to include Pam in it.

I have really enjoyed every book I’ve read by this author - and this is no exception. This time a successful restaurateur, Dane Bergman, discovers he has a feisty four year old daughter after her mother is killed in a tragic road accident. This, to put it mildly, is a great shock to the commitment phobic, love avoiding bachelor! He relies on his executive assistant, Pamela Atwater, to help save the day - especially after she suggest he takes his daughter away for a month to his island home to give them a chance to know each other. He agrees, on condition that Pam goes too. He initially thinks he can provide everything for his daughter - the best furniture, nannies, boarding school, etc - but Pam is determined he’ll help the youngster overcome losing her Mum by learning to love and relate to the adorable but wilful child. How this will also change their relationship neither had foreseen!
A great story with strong characters reacting to their tragic pasts and learning to build a loving future together - though not without plenty of twists, turns and surprises along the way! A lovely book to escape into and one I have no hesitation to anyone wanting to read a heart warming story with feisty females and a millionaire dad with a tragic past.

Dane Bergman is on top of the world. He's rich, successful and admired for his generosity. On the downside he was a workaholic who has no time for relationships. He depends on his Chief Executive Assistant, Pamela Atwater, to keep his empire running smoothly. He's in for a big surprise! He's a father to a five year old girl who just lost her mother. He didn't know. He's stunned and afraid. What's he going to do? Pamela steps in and helps. They are constantly together and he sees her in a new light. Pamela is dedicated to Dane. She wants to help him become the father she knows he can be. Her heart says stay. I liked Dane. He was in over his head and didn't know how to relate to his little girl. It made him reassess his life. Pamela is his rock. She loves him and his child even though she knows that they will never be together. The plot is charming and the characters are well developed. I want them to become a family, but Dean is stubborn. He needed a wake up call. Roxanne Snopek delivers a charming story with a couple that I could root for.

This is Dane Bergman & Pamela Atwater story. Dane Bergman is the millionaire that has everything. One day he gets the shock of his life when he finds out he has a 4 yr old daughter. He doesn’t know what to do but thinks Pam get set up nannies to private school for him so he can continue on with his life but Pam doesn’t think so.
Pam suggests a month away go to his private retreat to connect with his daughter and get to know her. He agrees but says she has to come. She hesitates but finally agrees. This is where the story GETS very hot between them and you find out about Dane's past.
This is such a great story. You find out more than you would expect about the MC and you lose the previous thoughts about them and then suddenly you have twists and turns come up and everything that had occurred is turned all around. I Loved this story and really enjoyed how the author expressed the characters thoughts and feelings.
