Sir Ivan's Train is the story of two orphaned sisters. Unbeknown to them, they take a ride aboard a magical train and are dropped off in an amazing world of magic, mayhem, and mystery. Once there, they have incredible adventures running around with a gang of thieves, dining with a princess, and perhaps most strange of all, encountering a peculiar witch. The witch reveals a prophesy—the two girls must face their fate before getting their life back on track. Their fate: a dragon.
As they struggle to make sense of their new life, the girls unravel a dangerous mystery during their travels. Curiosity gets the better of them, but solving this mystery may very well unleash the wrath of a dragon.
Fanny Teresa Crispin (aka FanTC) is a YA fantasy fiction author. Books captured her imagination at a young age when her mother used to read to her at night, but it wasn’t until her high school years that she began writing her own stories. Some 20 odd stories later, her friends convinced her to publish, so she began the long journey to putting herself in print. In 2014, she published her first novel CLOCKWORK DREAMS. Since then, she has published SIR IVAN’S TRAIN; DRAGON KING and the sequel WIZARD RING.
Fan T. C. is a heck of a great author and I am a fan. Dragon King was a great book and full of magic and adventure between two sisters. I ended up reading straight through the last hundred pages and realized there was nothing left last night, and wished I immediately had the next book. Thankfully, I didn't, because I needed sleep. 🙃🙃🙃
I think I'm slightly above the age of what this book is meant for, but I still appreciated the story line and the writing in the book. It was really well done. I enjoyed the illustrations especially! The characters were believable, the plot was good. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. I would recommend to this to anyone. I'll probably read this again sometime in the future.
Wonderful story! I really hated to see it end! The author does such a great job drawing you into the setting and the lives of the characters. I felt that for a brief time, I knew what it was like to have sister.
