Just finished the 2015 version of this book. Verdict: An inspirational read for all authors.
Tom Bird's premise is that books are actually written on "the other side" with God before we are born. To write well, we simply have to quiet the left side of our brain so that we can channel our divine messages.
I give Tom Bird much credit because I went through an 18 year bout of unrelenting writer's block between writing my first and second books. I longed to write another book but nothing came forth until I worked with Tom.
I hear from people all the time they are in the "research phase" of their books, which to me translates as "not actually writing."
I had the good fortune several years ago that a friend in Atlanta told me about Tom's writing method.
"Everything else is like breaking rocks," she said. I couldn't agree more.
Another author described his struggle this way, "It's like blood on the keyboards."
The act of writing a book is indeed an opportunity for our highest selves to bring forth something truly meaningful not only for ourselves but also for others. The writing process need not be like working in a coal mine or cutting off your right arm.
I'm eternally grateful for Tom Bird and his writing method because IT WORKS.
I wanted to read this book to understand more about Tom's philosophy of writing.
I got the philosophy but I also received so much more. When we spend time writing books this way - not just blogs, not just newsletters, but actual books - we commune with the divine. No wonder I feel so wonderful when I write this way.

Inspiring and uplifting to read. I especially enjoyed Mr. Bird sharing his early childhood experiences that led him to this gift of helping others connect with their right brain Author Within state. I can highly recommend this book.

For those who have always felt the calling to write, thought it was about time they get writing or sit in front of a computer screen from time to time, too terrified to begin, may I suggest you pick up a copy of Write Right from God by Tom Bird. This relatively small book packs a large amount of information in its easy-to-read, flowing 101 pages.
Tom sees writing as a “Spiritual” experience and as such, seeks to bring the opportunity to as many people as possible. Of course getting a book published is the ultimate dream, however what the writers experience during the creation of the book is profound and in most, if not all cases, life changing. With this book (whose subtitle is You, Words, Writing and Your Divine Purpose), Bird shares insight as well as offers encouragement to all who aspire to put pen to paper to set their thoughts free. What Bird has discovered (and teaches in his seminars and workshops) is that a transformation of one’s life is as much a result of the writing as the writing is a result of the transformations one has already undergone. Deep and profound, indeed.
