Beeline to the Cross: Not only for salvation, but for all of life

Rate this book
"Beeline to the Cross" joins the efforts of many writers and Bible teachers throughout the years who have undertaken the God-given task of pointing people to the cross. It's the most pivotal place in human history. As Charles Spurgeon once said, it's "the central Sun of all events". It is there that the life of every believer begins. It is there that perseverance and joy is found. It is there that the redeemed of the ages will look back and for eternity, sing praises to the Lamb that was slain.

Good quality content

Having now read several Christian books, I found this book by Joel Littlefield to be refreshing. Rarely today is the cross mentioned and all the benefits of making a "beeline to the cross". At the cross the author indicates salvation is through faith. He exhorts us with the following: "If you have strayed from the centrality of the cross, then this is the day you must repent and return". Further, His blood flowed on the cross, Littlefield says, to cover your imperfections and failures.

This book will bring forth the benefits of going to the cross that include:
– Finding enabling confidence to persevere in life
– Discovering the true lasting path of joy
– Understanding the mercy of God
– Properly seeing our sinful nature resulting in brokenness so God can be glorified.

Joel Littlefield has done an excellent job in drawing the reader to center on the crucified Christ and what it exemplifies for them. The cares of the world often take the body of Christ into pitfalls of worry, unbelief, and ungratefulness. The author carefully describes these facets and provides remedies for leading a victorious life. Learn through Jesus examples how to be a true friend with one another while doing the will of the Father which will bring God glory and you deep satisfaction.

I find each chapter rich with points of emphasis that can be used for Sunday school or small group studies. I feel this resource will deepen ones Christian resolve to press further into Christ and the cross. This content is suitable for all levels of maturity and is easy to understand.

Great book. The central focus on the cross is both humbling and encouraging.
