Witness in Death (Engineer: Mike Council)

Opening night at New York's New Globe Theater turns from stage scene to crime scene when the leading man is stabbed to death center stage. Now Eve Dallas has a high profile, celebrity homicide on her hands. Not only is she lead detective, she's also a witness - and when the press discovers that her husband owns the theater, there's more media spotlight than either can handle.

Judgment in Death (Engineer: Jill Sovis)

In an uptown strip joint, a cop is found bludgeoned to death. The weapon's a baseball bat. The motive's a mystery. It's a case of serious overkill that pushes Lt. Eve Dallas straight into overdrive.

Betrayal in Death (Engineer: Jill Sovis)

At the luxurious Roarke Palace Hotel, a maid walks into suite 4602 for the nightly turndown - and steps into her worst nightmare. A killer leaves her dead, strangled by a thin silver wire. He's Sly Yost, a virtuoso of music and murder. A hit man for the elite. And Lt. Eve Dallas knows him well.

They just keep getting better and better! This is my all time, numero uno, favorite series! I own and have read or am in the process of reading every book in this series. From Naked in Death when you get sucked into Eve's raw and gritty world and then teased with Roarke's world of glitz and glam to every heartbreaking crime after, they are all marvelous. I devour every word and I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that I reread the series twice a year every new book is published.

That one scene with Mira in Judgment. Omg. Love it. Eve telling her about sex with Roarke. Classic. Great series

All three stories are good and very different. It has been quite a while since I read any of them. I loved the reminder of Eve and Clarke earlier in their marriage.

I completely am in love with this series! My only regret is that I can't find them all at my Libraries that I have access to! Specifically I'm looking for them in Audio books as I'm in my car a lot of the time in the day. I have one in my car, and I have a different one I listen to in my bedroom!

I started in the middle of the series last year. This year I decided to start from the beginning, start with book 1 and work my way through the series. Best decision I made, relationship and back stories make sense and I feel as if I'm part of the family. Every character matters, when someone gets hurt or falls in love I laugh and cry. This is a great series.

I give the overall series a 4. Some books are better than others, naturally. This is an omnibus version with five books. The series is best read in order, but it is not required.

Having Eve Dallas witness the crime is an interesting twist.

Excellent narration, fine mysteries. A good one to listed to on a commute. The tracks are short enough that it was easy to skip some of the raunchier details if I didn't want to listen to them.
