Eris: The Patsy

Demons. Guns. Cubicles.
Meet the hunters of ERIS before they bring about the apocalypse.

Joss Huntsman knew what he wanted to be when he grew up, but got stuck in the family business, hunting demons. Fortunately, he has no plans to grow up.

Leslie Steele is the star of ERIS, even if Joss' parents don't seem to notice. She takes the blame for his screw-ups, but at least she gets to blow things up. And boy does she like to blow things up.

Brock has no idea why he puts up with these people, but jobs for a rock demon are scarce. “Brock, smash this,” “Brock, smash that.” “Brock, open this bottle of ketchup.” If only he were appreciated for his intellect.

When Joss and Leslie's magical artifact kleptomania is discovered, they realize they'll need to find a patsy. But they aren't the only ones who've been stealing, and everyone seems to have enough dirt on Joss to point the blame squarely on him!

The Patsy is the first episode in the ERIS series, a collection of fast-paced paranormal comedy stories. If you like animated classics like Archer and The Simpsons and office comedies like The Office and Office Space, you'll love this hilarious spin on the cubicle comedy.

Kindle unlimited or probably would be, but only showing on amazon now as various 3 sets, regardless of the list at bottom, but wanted to make sure got them reviewed every way could.

A bad day at the office, or a case of the Mondays? A demonic Inquisitor is on the way and Joss Huntsman has a desk full of stolen magical artifacts. But he’s not the only one stealing from the company vault. ERIS fantasy short reads are bite-sized comedy snacks.

Read the hilarious adventures of the demon hunters and staff of ERIS as they protect humanity from things that go bump in the night, sabotaging and betraying each other along the way. In this first ERIS story, The Patsy, it's a bad day at the office when Joss and Leslie are tasked with finding out who has been stealing magical artifacts from the company vault. Being guilty, it's up to them to find a patsy before the boss calls in an Inquisitor. But they aren't the only ones who've been stealing, and everyone seems to have enough dirt on Joss to point the blame squarely on him!

This has a vibe a little bit like "The Lassiter Files" by John Logsdon in addition to the shows mentioned in the blurb. This definitely isn't for everyone, but if you like a variety of personalities in a crazy world/ work place, it's funny. ERIS is quite unique.
