I seriously hate how whiney and stupid the heroine is!

DNF AT 61% No matter how sorry I felt for the H, i just can't get over how straight up dumb this girl is. And not in a cute way!

Four and a half
I really liked this story about an eighteen year old sheltered Princess stranded on an alien planet. It's important to remember that she is quite young and innocent as it does explain her attitude at times. Ameia might have survived her pod crash landing but can she actually survive in this unusual world . Odd little creatures, terrain that doesn't feel that hospitable and then of course there's the tiny matter of a giant purple demon like creature lying in wait outside! Still if Ameia doesn't leave her sanctuary and find food and particularly water she's not going to live that long but can she time it right when the big , hungry looking purple beast is not around?
Told in first person it's easy to understand everything that Ameia is experiencing. She's perhaps a tad stupid at times ( young remember ) but her determination to get through no matter what really pulled me in. Add in the purple guy who totally confuses Ameia and it's a lovely slow build sci fi romance that really entertained me . The simple fact that they had huge communication problems just added to the fun and then of course there's the ending that if honest is a bit of the dreaded cliff hanger but funnily enough it really works here as I'm left imagining all sorts of things. Yes it's a satisfying romance but it's also a story that could progress in so many ways and I'm definitely going to read more by this author

re-read 12/10/16 - refreshing the story before I jump into the third book that's out now. Wow, I've been thinking about the aliens in this book for a while, they're quite unique and intriquing. I had no idea they were from this series, boy am I glad I went back and started reading again. I didn't realize until like halfway through the first book. I get caught up on the mc being a princess and forget how much it actually doesn't bother me. I do have one complaint after a second time through, the mc is such a scardy cat baby, but I works in this story.

I loved this book, especially after the seriously sucky last couple alien books I read. You don't realize how terrible something really is until you find a story that you enjoy, easily get into and want to find out what happens next.

I wasn't very excited going into this book because of two things... 1 the MC is a princess... kinda hard to relate and 2 the MC isn't from earth, per say... again usually harder to relate. Neither of which bothered me at all once I started reading. Really happy I found a new author that writes hot alien romances. wood woot

This book is all about surviving after crash landing on an alien planet along with a huge purple alien.

Ok but not great

Ameia crash lands on an alien planet and encounters a beastly purple alien that she is terrified of. Almost her entire personality was that she was a princess. There were tiny hints of her life before, but not enough to give a full picture of who she was. The relationship between her and “beast” was just off to me. I can’t explain exactly what it was that bothered me. They were unable to communicate well. I’ve read plenty of books with a communication barrier that had a meaningful connection despite it. This was not one of them.

Spice: 2/5

Triggers: kidnapping, starvation, dubcon

I liked the alien hero but the ending came out of nowhere. It was very abrupt. I turned the page and was surprised the story had ended.

I have no idea if there will be a sequel. Sara Page's website doesn't say anything about a sequel.

The hero is very protective and growls and tries to woo the heroine. If you like alien heroes who can't communicate with heroine at first, read this book.

MINOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I loved this book! I am not normally a fan of sci-fi romance, but I wanted to try something different and I am so glad that I did! It exceeded the expectations that I had for it and I finished it in one sitting because I could not put it down.

Ameia- I liked Ameia. Even though she made a couple of decisions that I didn't agree with, I felt like she did the best she could given her situation. I know that I would not have handled being stranded on a weird planet and having a purple alien stalking me well. In fact, I probably would have died if I would have been in her situation.

Beast- Considering the fact that Beast doesn't speak for the majority of this book, his personality came off very strong. He was a fierce, dominating, and possessive male character... In other words, my favorite book boyfriend type. I loved him and, when he could finally communicate with Ameia, I loved him even more. I am so excited to delve into his character more now that he can talk and express himself.

Overall, I highly enjoyed this book and I will be continuing the series. I want to see more of this world and these characters. This series is labeled as a Reverse Harem and that was what initially drew me to it. I have not seen any evidence of an RH yet, but I am excited at the possibility. I can't wait to start the next book, The Dark Princes.

Cliffhanger. Part of a series.

I liked it. One thing that threw me off was the modern day English used by a human so obviously far into the future from now. The princess is immature, but she's just turned 18, so that seems pretty normal to me.

This standalone single reads like a series opener with much more to come. I'm hoping there is and that it will be affordable. Please!
Ameia just celebrated her 18th birthday on her home planet of Terrea, where her father, Trivent, is sovereign. Because of security concerns, she has never been allowed off planet, so when her step-brother offers to take her for a quick space ride she rebels and accepts. But before they can return, a slavers' ship appears and she is told to escape in a capsule programmed to return to Terrea. Something goes horribly wrong, though, and Ameia crashes on a strange planet dressed in a pretty pink dress and ballet flats, having no idea where she is or even how to operate the controls on the capsule to turn off the freaking alarm. Then a naked, screeching, screaming purple male alien appears and rolls her capsule downhill. And a game of cat and mouse begins, with "Beast" trying to communicate with "Mine" through his broken translator and as much kissing and touching as his skittish, sheltered princess will allow.

I enjoyed this story, it was a fun sci-fi romance read. The characters are interesting, and the storyline kept me reading page by page. I did become invested in finding out what happened to these two. And the sparks fly from their connection. Loved that!
Here was what kept me from rating higher. I wanted more, I wanted to know more about the group he was from, what happens where the book just stops? I basically felt there was no closure, it stops like a cliffhanger. I've checked the author website, Amazon and Goodreads, and unless I am missing it there is no information on this being an ongoing series. So that left me wavering between a 3-4.
So, yes I enjoyed it and yes I would recommend it as a fun read but I would have loved to had some more closure to the story y, otherwise I had a great time reading it and I loved the two main characters. So since I did really enjoy what I read and was invested I went with a solid 4.

Received a copy for an honest review.

I'm just very ambivalent. On the one hand the premise and build up is interesting but on the other I just couldn't care about the princess. There just wasn't enough to make me give a single solitary fuck about whether she lived or died. The twist was obvious and I'm guessing that the next book is gonna go either menage or triangle. Based on the cover I'm guessing the former. And...I don't care. She's boring and it's such a waste because there was a lot of potential in the story. I could deal with her screeching, her crying, and cluelessness. I could even deal with her TSTL moments because there was some rationale to them (the rationale was that she was a ridiculously sheltered FUCKING IDIOT, but it WAS consistent characterization). But I hate being bored by a lead character.
It's one and a half stars because there was a bit of potential. Do not recommend. Okay for Aayesha but it's a tbc.

Princess Ameia must be the most timid, stupid (I want to strangler her) self-centered female character to date. (Ok, she's young around 18).
I disliked her so much, that I wasn't even sure I wanted to read the other books in the series. Talk about whinny.
Ms Page, you almost outdone yourself with this one. . I felt so sorry for the male character in the book, I wanted to yell at him to run and keep running away from Ameia. But the poor sod was doomed as she 'called' to him.

My one other peeve is about the writing style as the reader is lead to a moment of high suspense, and then there is a leap to a conclusion where you are told what happens instead of experiencing the action. Call it a Quantum Leap in story telling.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this story. The principal female had many situations to go through and the actions, feelings and reactions felt very real. I loved the end where the male was able to reveal who and what he was.

I actually feel that this book could become the first in a series. I dearly want to know what happens when she and her lover/husband finally reaches her home.

This book will remain on my Kindle so that I can read it again and I'll be keeping an eye on Ms Paxge's works to see if there is a follow up. Hopefully there will be and it will be as good.

I enjoyed this book so much. Yes, you could say it has a cliffhanger, but the story of our two main characters reaches a comfortable point before that. I can't wait to read the next book. Well written, great editing, original story, strong female lead, and a fascinating male lead. The book is engaging the whole way through.

SEXY, FUN-FILLED SCI-FI ROMP !!!
Title: Princess SOS
Series; The Ravager Chronicles
Author: Sara Page
Designation: Book One of Four, Full-Length but NOT A Standalone, CLIFFHANGER AHEAD, Sci-Fi Romance
Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited
My Rating: FIVE Delightfully Entertaining Stars*****
***I own Princess SOS but read the remaining three books of The Ravager Series using Kindle
Unlimited. My review is for the entire series but there are NO spoilers included.

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I loved, loved, loved The Ravager Chronicles! This was my first time reading the work of Sara Page but it certainly won't be my last! I completely fell in love with Page's easy to follow style and perfect melodic prose. So, how can prose be melodic, you ask? Well, for me, it happens when the words of a story turn into a beautiful song. I hear a melody of words composed of the perfect combination of notes that can be described as sexy, sweet, seductive, sensual, steamy, romantic, funny and serious. And this story had it all along with a whole lot more! There was action, adventure, angst, heartache, loss, wicked enemies and plot twists galore! OMG! I was totally captivated, riveted to my seat, white knuckling my ereader with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest while the pages flew as quickly as the time! It was FABULOUS and I loved every single minute!

But let's talk a few details... The Ravager Chronicles is an exciting, highly imaginative, fast-paced, well-crafted science fiction romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the first-person with a single perspective from the heroine Princess Ameia. Normally, I'll be the first to admit, I enjoy dual or multiple perspectives but this was basically Ameia's story and it worked in the context of this story and for me. I didn't feel like I was a missing a thing by only having one point of view. The dialogue was smart, snappy, well-executed, at times hilarious and flowed effortlessly. But my favorite element of this sexy romp was, without a doubt, the characters. I loved them all, even the bad guys! I was immediately drawn into this story on the very first page by Princess Ameia who found herself in quite the pickle. She'd just turned 18 and had only celebrated her birthday at a grand celebration the night before. She certainly never expected her wicked stepbrother to trick her onto a spaceship, then into an escape pod by feigning an emergency and launching it into space... and during her own party no less! Landing on a strange uninhabited planet in an antiquated escape pod with very little water, no edible food, and no real supplies, attired only in her pretty pink party dress, was certainly no day at the beach, especially after the huge purple alien showed up growling MINE! And did I mention he was naked?!? Oh dear! What's a princess to do? You'll have to read the series to find out!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! I would like to take a moment to include a little personal note about this story. The first book of the series, Princess SOS, was offered as a free download during an Amazon promotion which is how I came across this series originally. I did not know at the time it was not a standalone read and was somewhat perturbed when I got to the end and realized there was a cliffhanger but decided to check out the second book and discovered the remaining three books and the complete box set of the series was available in Kindle Unlimited so I immediately borrowed the entire collection and dove into Book 2, The Dark Princes. Don't stop reading at the end of Book 1. Personally, I was a little frustrated because the author did NOT include this information in the blurb for Princess SOS and she should have disclosed this to the readers. I almost didn't continue the story but I truly loved the story and felt compelled to see it through to the end and so glad I did! And the story just got better and better! We see a complete metamorphosis of young Princess Ameia as she grows and matures from a naive and somewhat selfish child to a wonderful heroic young woman. I completely fell in love with Ameia and all her mates. Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers who enjoy a whole lot of fun and a heaping helping of sex with multiple mates! That's right! Amelia has more than one mate, dearies! So, you better buckle up for this one! Will I read this author again? Abso-freak-lutely! As a matter of fact, as soon as I finish this review, I'm racing to Amazon to read Page's Moon Alley Series Box Set! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Got this book in a mail from BookBub that sends me free kindle books of the day. I went in with zero expectations and this book gave me everything I needed.

So, it started with this inner monologue of this princess who's stuck at a random planet. And for the first two chapters I didn't understand shit. I was so pissed with how slowly the day is passing and how I'm reading unnecessary details of her day passing by but my brain finally started functioning by the fourth chapter and I realised - this is fucking genius.

The author made you see the whole world from a character's point of view in so much detail that you felt like you are the character. You saw her fight sizzle out over a short time if you see the number of days but a LONG time if you're inside her head.

Time passes by so much slower when you're alone. You live a magnified life. There was legit Stockholm Syndrome with the alien captor but he was so freaking sweet I wanted to hug him and feed him and put a blanket on him. He was adorable! The way he took care of her. The way he fed her, bathed her and gave her everything she needed. It was glorious.

The best part is that the author didn't glorify her Stockholm syndrome. The alien did some questionable things and you could really feel all the pain of the narrator. I mean as a reader I applaud the author for penning down an inner monologue the way it's written.

The BEST thing was the twist in the tale. The end was the most amazing thing ever! Him turning out to be a royalty was badass on all levels. The virus in the console was the most ingenious explanation ever.

I LOVED the way it was wrapped up. I think I've sang about this book enough to bore everyone to death but all said and done - it was an amazing read. I'm really really looking forward to the sequel!

This story gets the perfect score of 5.0 from me!

All my love,
Sri

I barely finished this - the leading lady was soooooo very annoying and wishy-washy.She is a pampered princess who cannot do anything for herself, including making basic life saving decisions. She has relied on everyone else to take care of her all her life. She gets stranded on a feral planet and expects the first alien she meets to take care of her - all the while hoping to keep him as a pet if she is rescued. I totally could not relate to her and was appalled and offended for the alien who was trying to help her. By midway in the book I wanted to slap some since into that spoiled princess. I did finish the book and it finally got interesting in the last 2 chapters. The hero FINALLY gets to say and do more than growl. And just as the story was picking up and getting interesting - BAM!!, it's the end all of a sudden and you need to buy the next book. Ugghhh. I really liked the writing style so I may give the 2nd book a try, but I will definitely drop it if it's drawn out like this one was.

Good alien romance. Heorine (Amelia) was super annoying. She is a conceited, whiney brat but she is young (just turned 18) and has been very sheltered and spoiled - a pampered princess. Dropped a point because readers never see Amelias growth or a reason for Drek/Beast’s sudden and complete devotion. It’s obvious early on that he is more than an animal because he’s wearing pants and tries to communicate with her. He understands her but she can’t understand him so she assumes he must be dumb and wants to eat her. 🙄 She constantly talks down to him and names him Beast. She treats him like a caveman and acts in a way that endangers them both and often gets him attacked. 😒 She only feels guilt when she realizes who he really is. Ugh. I hate people like her.

I dropped another point because the book just ends. We never learn why Drek is on the planet alone, how long he’d been there and how he got word out. Maybe it’s in the next book but that’s something that Amelia could’ve asked. Of course she still acts like a big baby and doesn’t care as long as she can go home.

Ameia drove me a bit nuts because she was, for no other words weak.  But she was a pampered princess who only knew palace life.  So when she is stranded on a deserted planet, she is going to have ZERO survival skills.  Lord help those who teach their daughters nothing.  SMH.

What also drove me nuts about this book is now that I am on book two there are still questions that are not answered.  Like why was Beast stranded on the planet?   I hate unanswered questions.

The story has excellent character development even though for most of it they can’t communicate.  But it was still fantastic.  Page has a way of building these exciting world that I just want more and more of, I am already into book 2, and I can’t wait for more.

It’s a fairly short book with not a lot of character development due to the characters not being able to communicate 99% of book 1.

Ameia doesn’t act like a typical heroine in an alien romance. It isn’t instalove. She isn’t particularly brave or resourceful. Even when Beast starts trying to take care of her she remains suspicious and fearful. It was partially refreshing to read something different and partially frustrating. It felt like the plot couldn’t progress because she took one step forward, two steps back.

There’s also isn’t a ton of world building. We get a tiny bit of information about her world and we see a tiny glimpse of the planet she’s stuck on, but nothing that again really drives the plot forward.

Steam: we get a tiny bit of steam, just a bit of foreplay really. I’m hoping for a steamier book 2.

overall I really liked the story.. but I had a hard time connecting with the character Amiea... she was so selfish and demanding but she was a princess so I had to keep that in mind. when she finally started to realize some of her misgivings things went a lot smoother. the story was very slow at first and it does have a cliffhanger which I hate but it did come to a reasonable conclusion of events before cutting the reader off. Beast, or Drek, is definitely all alpha male and from the start u can tell he's trying to protect her so it makes u a bit frustrated with the princess...or at least it did me... but like I said overall this story was still awesome and I would still recommend it even with the cliffhanger.

Princess Ameia has been put in an escape pod and it has crashed on an unknown planet. The only other life she has observed is a large purple man and although she has tried tried to communicate they don't appear to speak the same language. As she runs out of the meagre supplies in the pod she has to take a chance and trust the other planet inhabitant as he seems to want to help.

This was a lovely story looking at how two people who can't communicate easily can build some sort of trust and have a relationship even if they can't understand each other. I liked the way in the end they got to communicate together properly and could come to some sort of understanding. It was a nice start to the series and I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment of the story.

Decent plot, but....

This is a 2 for me due to the continuity issues, grammar issues and lack of character development. For someone so sexually ignorant one moment (not understanding that she's in the beginning of intercourse) Ameia wouldn't, in the next paragraph, know what her clit is for example. Incorrect word usage was annoying, any half decent beta reader or editor should've caught the issues. Then there was the complete lack of growth for the (understandably) spoiled and practically incompetent princess, not to mention the "Beast" whose supposed growth was limited to communication and a brief background info dump. I'm not certain if I'll continue this series or not but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to others, it's in too rough a condition.

2nd time reading this gem

This isn’t the first time I’ve read this series but I remember how much I loved it and decided to read it again. I can’t believe I didn’t leave a review the first time around 🤦🏼‍♀️

This introduction into this series was fun and introduced 2 of the characters that we will see throughout the series, Ameia and Drek. This book details the catalyst of what starts the entire series with Ameia learning about the betrayal she’s experienced and gaining her kingdom back. This book left plenty of questions that will be answered in later books but still does a great job setting things up and introducing the world and different races of aliens.

I highly recommend this series!!
