Solid book about chilies. Features information on growing, origin, some types of chilies, and how to preserve them with a few recipes.
A few more pictures of different chili diseases would have been appreciated (there are some illustrations, but not all pests), also signs on how to spot if your chilies need more light/water/fertilizer, etc. (e.g. my chilies have some lighter spots/tiny holes, but the book doesn't mention such things) The chili types featured in the book are more popular in the US/UK I guess, as the seed retailer I buy from only features very few of the mentioned species. Nevertheless I enjoyed reading the book.

An enjoyable short book full of facts. Very readable. For the home cook and gardener. Centred for the home gardener in cold climates. The only reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 star rating is that there are not that many recipes.

Great intro to chilli world. This is really complete guide to beginners. As title promised, the book takes care of planting, caring, preserving chillies. There is handful catalog of many chillies with info about them plus best ways to preserve each one of them. It is amazing guide. It will stay in my bookshelf.

This is a perfect book for hot peppers! I love growing peppers, but I'm not the greatest at it (though the ones I have do refuse to die thankfully).

It contains types of peppers, hot to grow them, how to preserve them, how to cook them, how hot they are... just everything!

I ended up buying a copy for myself after finding it in the library so I can keep it on hand when I need it.

Chilli's are one of the most widely used ingredients for cooking across the world. And this short book provides a very useful guide to growing and preserving them for home use. It contains a very good chapter describing the different varieties and another containing a collection of recipes using them.

Nicely illustrated with lots of red hot chillis and full of diagrams and data in a logical order. Not enough individual varieties featured for my liking. Nothing on taking cuttings and the page on over wintering your chillis to get them to grow another year did not say that you can get them fruiting well into winter under glass.
