The mysteries of life and faith underlie this true story of a family losing its youngest member to cancer. As bewildering is the child’s extraordinary perception and her character, which take on shining power as her body loses strength. The book includes Kelly’s diary entries, her Christian family’s efforts to live as normally as possible, and, through it all, her mother’s persistent hope, faith, and love. Vividly written.

This is a very well written personal story of a mother's experience parenting her young daughter who has a brain tumor. This book shows the faith of the family and also allows us to see the ups and downs of dealing with the fact that your child has only a short time to live. It was very sad. (It caused me to read the final chapters in the bathroom so my little ones wouldn't see me boo-hooing.)
It helped me put my own trials into perspective.

Very sad but beautiful! How a young girl, only 6 years old, has a brain tumor and how she deals with it and her family. Never realized how much stuff has to be done with cancer! Very good book I couldn't put it down, I had to read it till I was done to find out what happens, very moving!

My friendship with Lisa during this time with her daughter Kelly was life changing for me! Lisa is a gifted artist in so many ways as her daughters are!
