When Spirit and Word Collide: The prophesied new wave of extraordinary churches

Rate this book
Jarrod Cooper explores the 1947 prophecy about revival attributed to Smith Wigglesworth and examines what it means for today’s Church. A new wave of extraordinary Spirit and Word churches are emerging. In this book he looks at the qualities that will set them apart and position them at the centre of a great move of God that will sweep our nation. “A timely, highly valuable book addressing one of the most important issues facing the Church to-day.” “An insightful and timely message for the Church. A must read.” “Full of insight, godly provocation and biblical wisdom, I highly commend When Spirit and Word Collide to you. May it provoke you, as it has me, to a renewed encounter with our wonder-working God, and an insatiable hun-ger for authentic Holy Spirit power in the Church of Jesus Christ.” Jarrod Cooper leads Re-vive Church, a multi-site church meeting across Hull and East Yorkshire. He is an au-thor, songwriter, conference speaker and broadcaster and is committed to inspiring revival in others.

An excellent book, especially for leaders. When God says it’s time to move, how will we respond? When Holy Spirit acts, will we recognise that it’s Him, or will we dismiss it as fake and devilish? This has been the challenge for churches and their leadership. This book is very helpful in pointing out how to recognise and steward a move of God.

A timely book exploring the importance of both Word and Spirit. Quite prophetic in nature and raises some important questions.
