I think this is a beautiful historical novel of love, friendship and redemption. The story is set in colonial Pennsylvania and follows the intertwining lives of a Mennonite family, two Catholic priests and a family from the Lenni-Lenape. One can readily identify with the characters and feel transported to Penn’s woods with all their hopes, fears and dreams.
