Chelsea Davies awakens one morning to a cryptic phone call telling her that she's in grave danger. Although she can’t quite bring herself to trust Johan Lindstrom, she can’t deny the proof that he provides, suggesting that because of some information she unknowingly has, she’s become a target for the CEO of her company—a man who wants to avoid paying for his crimes.
Johan barely gives her the opportunity to pack before carrying her away from everything she knows, leaving Chelsea reeling—and angry. But even if she can’t bring herself to fully trust her impossibly gorgeous Swedish bodyguard, there's no way she can deny the intense heat between them.
As the initial glamour and adrenaline of her escape begins to wear off, Chelsea finds herself questioning Johan’s motives and his mysterious, unknown employer more and more. She can’t reconcile a life on the run with the luxurious hotels, cars, and standard of living that Johan is providing as they get farther and farther away from her alleged pursuers.
Is her dangerously hot companion any better than the man she’s running from?

I am so disappointed. The story had so much potential but it fell flat. Way way flat. Chelsea felt so out of character and was no way realistic after she left her house with Johan. It actually pissed me off to the point of not wanting to finish the book, which I always do even if a book completely sucks. I also was under the impression that this was a full book and not a 'short story'. This was barely even a story. It was too rushed and unrealistic and basically zero questions were asked or answered. The author completely wasted this story. Chelsea could've easily fell for Johan while forced to live with him and that would've at least made a little sense. But nope let's just not question anything going on or get to know the dude or even use protection and just sleep with him a shit ton of times. Honestly I'm being nice with the second star only because of the premise this book could've had if the author had took the time to write it instead of a porn with an attempt at a plot. I guess if that's your thing then go ahead and read this, but if not skip this like I wish I did.
