A hot, sticky day in Gotham is about to get even stickier! When Joker and Harley Quinn get the Gotham City Police eating out of the palms of their hands, only Batman and Batgirl can serve up sweet justice.
Full of super hero action, Batman The Joker's Ice Scream is a Level Two I Can Read book, geared for kids who read on their own but still need a little help.
Donald Lemke works as a children's book editor. He has written dozens of all-age comics and children's books for Capstone, HarperCollins, Running Press, and more. Donald lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his beautiful wife, Amy, toddling toddler, Cleo, and a not-so-golden retriever named Paulie.
A summer time smack down as Joker and Harley Quinn try to 'Jokerize' the police with tainted ice cream sold from their ice cream truck. It does make sense on a very interesting level: show the population that not even the police are safe; that is a great way to spread chaos! Great introduction to the Batman mythos for young children.
Pretty good story line. We are introduced in the opening pages to all the main characters: Batman bat, commissioner James Gordon, that girl, the Batmobile, the joker, and Harley Quinn. Then a story involving an ice cream truck and poisoned ice cream courtesy of the joker. The joker always seems a little sinister and dark but Emerson like the story.
Personligen är jag inget fan men säkert perfekt för bokprat i årskurs 2 och i årskurs 3 för de som vill ha lite lättare text. Det är som vanligt mycket action och färgglada bilder vilket brukar uppskattas av målgruppen.
Ice cream jokes galore as Harley and Joker are up to their usual antics with Batman and Batgirl on the case to save the day. Surprisingly, the story mostly takes place during a hot day, and not at night as is iconic for the bat team.
