How else was she going to parlay her two favorite past times into a career?
Emma is single and loving it. Like her first character, Alysin, Sin for short, she doesn't believe in settling or in settling down. She loves to indulge in her passions whenever the mood strikes and enjoys keeping all of life's cliche moments spicy.
Known for her sense of humor, Emma surrounds herself with friends whose antics often become the source of book fodder. Her ideal situation would be to explore the Caribbean while writing. She pursues that dream daily.
I expected much more from the author of The Souvenir. It wasn't horrible, I just didn't get the feels. The blurb does this book an injustice. I expected angst, etc. What I got was 2 people who find each other and help each other heal from the trauma of their marriages. Pretty much angst-free fare - a little Cinderella-ish.
Overall Opinion: This book was kind of meh. At times I would even say it was boring. I am always a sucker for sugar baby type stories, but this wasn't what I had thought. She is not offering sex or any type of companionship other than employee (I guess being his PA) in the agreement, and she even seemed to take offense when she thought he was coming on to her in the beginning. Im sorry, but I thought that was what the sugar baby's duty was...but I guess not in this book. I ended up pushing through the instinct to put this on my DNF shelf a few times. It was a just ok, low drama, and easy read.
Storyline: This is Hannah and Gavin's story. They meet when Hannah places an ad for a sugar daddy because she is desperate after her soon to be ex took off with her money and moved in with a stripper. (I know -- sounds like a episode of Jerry Springer, but sadly it wasn't that interesting IMO.). After meeting some duds, she meets Gavin and has to take up his proposition (or agreement of her ad). Gavin has an ulterior motive though. He is going through a nasty divorce and wants to make women pay -- especially women that outright say they want a sugar daddy. What Gavin didn't expect was how he'd end up feeling for Hannah. She surprised him at every turn, and eventually they both start to develop stronger feelings for each other. There is some (minimal) ex drama, some revelations about life goals, some sexy times, and eventually they find their HFN.
POV: This alternated between focusing on Hannah and Gavin in 3rd person narrative (my least favorite btw).
Overall Pace of Story: Ok. Some slow parts especially in the beginning. I didn't skim, but I was really close. It didn't have instalove.
H rating: 3 stars. Gavin. Meh.
h rating: 3 stars. Hannah. Only positive that sticks out in my mind was her being a good mother. She was strong at times, but really weepy in others...not really consistent of a character for me.
Sadness level: Low. Didn't need any tissues.
Heat level: Moderate/low. Some fade to black, some memories, some sexy times that were kind of meh.
Descriptive sex: Yes for some scenes.
Sex scene with OW or OM:
Cheating:
Possible Triggers:
Closure: Majorly abrupt ending. I'd say at the most it was a HFN. It would've been greatly improved with an epilogue IMO (but I always love my epilogues -- especially time jumps).
Worth the $?: Yes. It was part of my scribed subscription, but not sure I would've been happy if I paid additional money for it.
Blurb: People change. Motives change. Situations can change.

Billionaire businessman Gavin Meyers is looking for someone to punish since his divorce has left him bitter and wounded. When his lawyer suggests he find a hobby, he can only think of one: revenge. When he spots a personal ad for a sugar daddy, he knows this woman will suffice.
Keeping it perfectly legal, he has a lawyer draft a contract, the Terms of Service for their new life together. It seems cut and dried, but love, lust, and revenge are complications that defy every perfect plan.
*sigh* So, not what I was expecting after reading the blurb.
Hannah Matthews is in a bind. She needs to find a solution to her financial problems, so she comes up with the perfect solution--finding herself a sugar daddy. How hard can that be? She's pretty, charming and can hold a decent conversation. Plus it will give her the time she needs to save some money to make a better life for herself and her girls.
Gavin Meyers is definitely not looking for a relationship. Currently going through a divorce from a woman who proved to be nothing like she portrayed herself to be, Gavin is looking for some revenge. So what better way to feel better about himself than by reeling Hannah in and then pulling the rug right from under her? But what he was not expecting was to be drawn to Hannah's presence or her girls. Soon he finds himself thinking about what could be instead of exacting his revenge.
I think my biggest mistake when I started reading this story was that I had made assumptions as to what to expect from it. I expected a bit more chemistry and a lot more heat. Sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations nor did it leave a lasting impression. I attribute this to the characters. Both Gavin and Hannah lacked that 'je ne sais quoi' quality that would make them stand out in a story. In truth, I found them both boring and simple. There wasn't anything about them that stood out, nothing that interested me enough to invest myself in their lives. And that alone, put me off from conjuring any interest in their story.
I do think that Emma Nichols came up with a great concept, she just didn't back it up properly. There was too much whiplash-inducing ramblings, unnecessary miscommunication and lack of chemistry and/or connection. For the life of me, I could not feel these two being right for each other.
Hannah was an okay character. She was a good mother and a great care taker, but that's about all I glimpsed of her. And Gavin, well he was a bore. His broodiness wasn't attractive and it bordered on annoying at the best of times. He needed to get a healthy dose of reality, take a break from his pity party and enjoy life. He did eventually, but by then my interest had been lost.
It would have helped a lot for me to glimpse even a spec of connection between these two. But alas, I didn't. Their chemistry was lacking and didn't change much as the story progressed. I did enjoy some of their interactions and the growth they had gone through as the story moved along, but for me it didn't feel monumental nor natural.
All in all, this story was not what I expected nor the right type of story for my liking.

LEFT WITHOUT OPTIONS, HANNAH NEEDS A SUGAR DADDY TO HELP HER & THE KIDS…CHECK THIS 5-STAR...TERMS OF SERVICE!
Hannah Matthews was a little suspicious when her husband wanted her and their four-year-old twin girls were sent to visit her family in Wilmington on Labor Day, instead of their usual vacation to Myrtle Beach. He had told Hannah he had work to over the holiday weekend and there was no reason why she and girls, Aurora and Zoe, should not enjoy a weekend getaway due to him. When Charlotte decided to return home a day early to surprise her husband, she was the only one whom was surprise to find the apartment cleared out leaving only the little girls beds, a stack of unpaid bills, and the money on the bank account withdrawn.
Hannah has deal with the reality; she does not have any credit, no money, on the verge of eviction, pending divorce (so no alimony nor child support), no money for childcare, so Hannah decides to put an ad for Sugar Daddy.
“All I need is a leg up, not a hand out. I need a place to stay while I pull it together. I keep a nice house, cook amazing meals, and can carry on intelligent conversations…when I get to speak with adults, that is.”
Gavin Meyers is bitter since his recent divorce and is looking for someone to take his anger out on, when he finds an ad for a Sugar Daddy. Gavin cannot hide his curiosity to why would any woman boldly be advertising, so he makes an appointment to see what maybe his perfect victim due to his failed marriage – revenge.
“He didn’t want to like her. He wanted to punish her. This plan of hers to find some rich man to take care of her and her children was sickening.“
The only thing Gavin did not plan for was his heart to start learning how to trust again, will Hannah and the twins spoil Gavin’s revenge?
“I have entrusted you with my entire life, with everything I hold dear. I moved in here, barely knowing you, hoping you wouldn’t expect more of me than I could give, and I wouldn’t be trapping myself in a worse existence than I currently had. I had exposed my children to you, uproot my entire life, and maintain a level secrecy from my friends and family so you could maintain your pride and privacy.”

Emma Nichols’ novel, TERMS OF SERVICE, receives - 5 AMAZING STARS!
Oh my!!! This book was awesome. It had me hooked from the beginning. Hannah is one heck of a woman. I can't wait to read more books by this author. She's one of my favorite.
Second book review for Romance Month, since I decided to broaden by reading horizons by doing months set around specific genres.
Hannah is out of a marriage she didn't like, she's struggling to get by while taking care of two pre-school age twins, and she decides to put an advert in the personals looking for a sugar daddy. Gavin is a well-off businessman and he takes in Hannah as a hobby for revenge after his wife slept with his lesbian sister and fell in love with her, and he's intent on making her life miserable.
They make a contract where she'll be his personal assistant, help out with his work and around the house, and he'll provide board for her and her twin girls, Aurora (Rory) and Zoe. She brings out the best of him and he becomes a more sympathetic person, going so far as to allow her to redecorate the house, he comes onto good terms with Madge, his housekeeper with her there to make her feel like an equal, and he slowly but surely falls in love with her and they ultimately end up in a relationship and the kids grow to look at Gavin as a father figure.
His lawyer comes by and Hannah overhears the man ask about Gavin's revenge plot, which he's long since forgotten, and it shatters the relationship. She gives her 30 days notice for the termination of the contract and readies herself to move out. Gavin wins her heart back, they proclaim their love for each other, and he proposes marriage to her whilst leaving the family business to his sister to run, since he only did it out of loyalty to his late father, but she was the one who was actually interested in the business and happy to run it. Then, Gavin, Hannah, and her twins get ready for a life on the Carribean, presumably, as Gavin's real passion is sailing and he wants to have a simpler life with his new fiancee and her kids.
Overall, this book was average in every way imaginable. The plot isn't particularly original and you could see how it was going to end from almost the beginning. I didn't skim pages or outright skip sections, but it was so boring and hard to read at times that it was very tempting, and the characters were so unoriginal and boring that I had to look up what Hannah's name was so I could write this review, and she was the main character of the story!
If you like this kind of cliche story, you'll probably like the book, but if you're like me and you're just grabbing free books of specific genres for the sake of reading but don't have a strong feeling one way or the other about the book, then it's probably one that you can not read and you won't feel like you're missing out on anything.
Average execution of an average plot with nothing particularly interesting or redeeming about the plot or the characters, aside from the odd moment where the twins are adorable acting here and there, but as supporting characters they aren't worth the read on their own.
One ad will change the circumstances and the future of two heartbroken divorcees.
People change. Motives change. Situations can change.

How is a woman to survive when all she knows and trusts has been destroyed? Hannah may have done what many believe is irreprensible or horrible for posting an ad in the newspaper for a ‘sugar daddy’, but from my point of view, it takes more self assurance and confidence to put that ad in a newspaper and accept to sign a contract for the sake of her daughters (because there is nothing the majority of parents will not do for their children). As for Gavin, even though he accepted Hannah’s ad, he didn’t have to accommodate her twin daughters. He wanted revenge yet love destroyed a great part of his plans ever since his wife’s and sister’s betrayal. Agreement genre novels aren’t a mystery to me, and I enjoy them, however, it is the first time that I read one where there are children in close proximity to the couple and I won’t lie, for some reason it bothered me at times seeing as how Gavin was indifferent if not rude more often than not in the beginning. However, for a first time reader of Emma Nichols, I must admit that other than a few character flaws (which we all have), I truly enjoyed the storyline and is worth the time it will take to sit back, relax and let your mind wander with Hannah in the Terms of Service.

I was received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review
Emma has really gone to town with the emotions between Hannah and Gavin. Both their partners cheated on them. Hannah and her twin girls are practically desulot where she has only a month's rent and her wage won't cover it and her husband left her for a stripper and took everything including leaving her with such a bad credit rating she can't DO ANYTHING so she decides on a plan where she'll look for a SUGAR DADDY to look after them. Whilst Gavin caught his wife with his sister and decided to take revenge on a woman. Except when he takes Hannah on and ess going tí use her as his PA. He realised very quickly he can't and let's her do things to his home. Things starts NOT going the way he planned very quickly as he see's that he CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT HER. No matter what he's doing, whilst at first Hannah can't stand not doing anything and see's there's the ex's studio so she starts using it to make. Whilst the days, weeks go pass she starts seeing a change in Gavin and starts to realise she's staying tí have feelings for him even falling in love with him and then she hears that he was using her to destroy her and break her, not realising he's fallen in love with her, so she takes the girls and his back to her parents. Will they and can they spill their TRUE FEELINGS for each other and go forward together or will it be that she and the girls leave him and restart again somehow with a very broken heart.....
I love how this book drew me in from the very beginning. Hannah has had the worse luck ever and as a single parent she's willing to do practically anything to take care of her kids. Gavin has had his heart dumped on and is looking for revenge, but never expects to find what he's been missing when he sets out to ruin Hannah. This book is heartfelt, it draws you in and won't let you go until the end. Thank you for an amazing read.
I adore all of Emma Nichols' books, she's a great writer, this book definitely doesn't disappoint.
When a single mom of twins is left by her no good husband for a stripper, she has to make ends meet by herself. Hannah is doing the best she can trying to pay the rent, put groceries on the table, and pay the bills her so-to-be ex-husband ran up and left her with. He emptied out their bank account and moved in with his girlfriend without ever looking back.
Hannah comes up with an idea of putting an ad for a "sugar daddy" to take her and her 4 year old twins, in return for her cooking, cleaning, and keeping a nice home.
Gavin Meyers is going through a divorce, he found his wife in bed with his sister. Now the wife wants $20,000 a month as an alimony. He refuses to give in. He wants to get his revenge on all women for what happened with his marriage. When his mother leaves a copy of Hannah's ad out he plans to meet up with her.
After spying on her for 5 hours, he has a plan in mind; but what he doesn't count on is how strong she is. She's not breakable, that was his first mistake. His second was not realizing how nice she really is. She can talk to ANYONE, even nasty people, and they instantly like her.
Gavin ends up falling in love with her; ruining his whole plan.
Gavin is going through a divorce and wanting revenge; he wants to hurt a woman emotionally like he was hurt when he found his wife and his sister in bed together.
Hannah is also going through a divorce. Her husband and his stripper girlfriend took off with all of their money and household goods, leaving Hannah with the bills and their four-year-old twin girls. She can’t support herself and her girls on the money she makes at her job and she fears losing their apartment.
Desperate she puts an ad in a paper looking for a sugar daddy and Gavin sees his chance to get revenge. But soon, he finds he likes Hannah and her daughters, and then he feels protective of them and revenge is the last thing on his mind.
While I didn’t understand what Hannah expected, it obviously is wasn’t a sexual relationship. I guess she thought some man would just take her and her daughters in and support them. I know Gavin planned to trick her into thinking he was saving them before he got his revenge.
I loved the way Gavin struggled with his feelings and the way he changed from an unhappy, bitter man into a caring person. It is Hannah I don’t understand but it all worked out in the end, and I really loved the ending.
Hannah is struggling to support her twin daughters after her husband leaves her for a stripper. Gavin is looking for revenge after catching his ex-wife in bed with somebody else. They come together through an ad and form a beneficial service agreement. But one of them is not honest about the reason for wanting this relationship.
As they live and work together, things start to change. Gavin finds himself falling in love with Hannah and her daughters. But there are problems in the way...can they find a way to overcome these problems. And what will happen when Hannah finds out about Gavin's original plan for revenge? And you know she will find out...these things always come back to haunt you. Will Gavin be able to make her understand or will he lose the life he has come to cherish?
Sometimes you find revenge is not what you really want and changes have to be made to have a future. To find out what happens and everything they experience, you will have to read the book. You will be in for some surprises.
Loved this book. Single mom Hannah is struggling to make ends meet, raising twins is no easy feat, and not getting support from her soon to be ex-husband day to day living is a struggle. Doing her utmost best with what she has, she advised a plan to better her live and that of her two girls until she gets back on her feat, throwing ideas around she asked her best friend and lawyer Amy what to do until then, and made a joke and saying maybe she should look for a 'Sugar Daddy', thinking Hannah as lost the plot, not knowing Hannah has given it some extensive thought.
Not backing out Hannah placed a add in the local newspaper and thought nothing will come of this silly notion. Boy was she wrong. Meet Gavin Meyers, business man, woman hatter, busy with a messy divorce, after catching his soon to be ex-wife in bed with his sister. ( Wow)
From meeting Hannah, moving her and the girls into his house, luring her under false pretenses, his ironclad armour starts braking, and what happens next is making of such an awesome story.
Will there be a HEA?? And what's in store for them.
Lol, you just have to read the story and find out.
That was not at all what I was expecting. I went into the book having read some of the less flattering reviews, so I was prepared to finish the book thinking “it’s okay”. I liked it so much more than that. It may simply be that I have a sensitive, loving heart, but when a book brings me to the point of tears, I’m obviously invested in the story. There’s something about Gavin that really resonated with me. I felt like I could experience his emotions with very little effort. Hannah was a little more distant from me, though there were some of her insecurities that I felt all too clearly because they’re the same as some of my own. I thought that this was a very sweet story about the ways love changes us, for better and worse.
This was a fun read, it gave me all the beauty and the beast feels. (Which by the way I loved)
What started as a plan for revenge against women took a turn when Gavin quickly learns that somethings in life you just can't plan for, and falling in love is one of them. Hannah is struggling to get her life back on track after her cheating ex leaves her in a bind. After placing an ad for a sugar daddy things start looking brighter. However losing her heart wasn't what she bargain for.
A quick and fun read of learning to love and trust again. Seeing beyond others flaws and mistakes. Living in the moment and chasing dreams.
Reading the synopsis, I thought interesting plot. Different from all other "cinderella" stories. Read the reviews, lots of praise. Curious and intrigued I downloaded and read. And I was tragically disappointed. The writing style was choppy and had no depth. At times it was just words on a page without fluidity. There was no narrative build up to emotions. I found myself being able to skip multiple paragraphs and pages with no loss in understanding of the story line. The characters were....ummmm...uninteresting, weak and unappealing.
This is a romance that starts as just payback for a life he though he didn't deserve. Bringing in Hannah and her girls was a way to show women how awful they are and cure him of his affections. To bad Hannah was more than Gavin bargained for.
While I enjoyed the nuances of this book it seemed a tad long and drawn out. But make no doubt that even tho I think it could have been shorter it was still a fun romance.
Tbh Hannah's terms of service was set no matter Gavin's plot. She already knew to prepare for the worst because she's been through it before. It goes to say the pesky organ of the heart always dwindles the best laid logical plans. I really wished there was an epilogue or extended chapters to give a final outlook on their relationship once they hit their destination. But all in all this was a great take on good and bad karma. Reaping what you sew and so forth.
Hannah does the only thing she can think of to support her and her kids when her husband walks on her by agreeing to live with Gavin. Gavin only wants someone to take his mind of his ex-wife. It was great to watch the interaction between the two and see the transition in Gavin throughout the book. Hannah truly makes him want to a better person. This was a wonderful read.
Hannah down on her luck. He husband divorce is her takes everything she has and leaves her with the twins. Gavin divorce is wife and wants to take revenge out on women. Hannah put the ad in for sugar daddy and guess who answers it Gavin. I love this story because it was sad but sweet all at the same time. It put a smile on my face.
I would recommend this book, it was uplifting and romantic. I wasn't too comfortable with how she tried to get out of her problem but I did love how a foundation was formed which makes people aware of how it is for moms out there. They were a beautiful couple. I would have liked to know what would have happened when Hannah found out Amy was also Gavins lawyer.
Hannah and the twins are in the worst situation or single mom to imagine. While she places an unusual ad for a sugar daddy great things can happen from this or ruin.
A man looking for revenge and a woman looking to survive turns into a very unconventional love story. I couldn't put it down, ended up staying up all night finishing it. Emma Nichols brings her characters to life. A great read!
I loved the story It was easy to become part. Of the story. I will be reading more story by the same writer. I also like that the writer took the time to write a whole story and not a lot of shorts
Loved the storyline. It obviously is predictable all romance novels are. But the predictability wasn't cringey. It was cute. I read it from start to finish as I was invested. I need to go to sleep now as finishing this kept me awake.
I don't think I have ever read a LOVE story this great. I could kick Hannah in the butt for taking so long in making up her mind, but it ended happily.
