A phenomenal scholarly work analyzing the literature of the Bible. Fisch brings out much of the richness and depth of the Biblical material, showing its subversive nature. My one critique is that I think the book could have been cut down by about 60 pages. But overall a worthwhile read for students, scholars, theologians, and lovers of literature.
