Did enjoy this short book but it was just the beginning, and now feel the need to download the others to see how this storyline develops to the end.

If you loved Brookside you will love this, written by Phil Redmond, creator of Brookside, Hollyoaks and Grange Hill.

Set in the fictional working class town of Highbridge, a family prepares for the funeral of Janey, killed in a hit and run. Will her brother Joey discover who killed his sister? Is Janey's husband Luke coping as well as he seems? Why is cousin Billy not invited to the funeral? Who are the mysterious figures on bikes following the funeral procession? Highbridge : The Beginning is just a taster of what is to come.

A good taster

Slick, fast moving. The characters come alive right from the start and you can feel empathy for them right from the start.
Will definitely read Highbridge.
