Candy J. Moon grew up in Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Stratford-upon-Avon. She began writing The Magic Rainbow Stone in 1999, after buying a fluorite dolphin which gave her the idea for her crystal characters. It was finally finished and published a whole fifteen years later in 2014. The next two books in the series swiftly followed. Candy's latest work is Stars and Hearts - the first book in the lighthearted Stage Door series. Candy writes, illustrates, and is sole carer for her dementia-stricken mum.
