Sweet, beautifully written and evocative story of teen girl going on her first date in October. Salcedo uses gorgeous images and poignant moments in her writing, and this was definitely true here as she wove together young love, death, fear, and hope, with a nod to some horror movies along the way. A great short story to read before bed, especially at this time of year.
