a classic! this book is the most recommended to learn farsi. i grabbed this book in pakistan, learned it by myself for 2 weeks, then when i entered afghanistan i only needed 1 week to adjust my tongue and ears before totally able to communicate with locals. the sentences r useful, exercises r effective, and the grammar is quite complete so i could make very complicated sentences to convey my ideas. i had no problem at all in afghanistan, iran, and tajikistan. i m thankful that i started my farsi from this book. old is gold, and this book is a classic example.
