Loved this devotional. You don't have to be following the Daniel Plan to read the truths that were presented. Loved the style/format it was written in. It really helped me think about my health and make better choices - both spiritually and physically.
It took a bit more than a year but I finally finished this devotional. It provided daily reminders of who God is, what He expects and how we can please Him. I’m still working to put all that into practice.
This is a really good supplement for anyone doing the Daniel Plan. It's also a good devotional book on it's own for anyone with health and fitness goals.
I loved this book! Great companion with the other Daniel Plan book and materials, but can also easily be read/used independently. Full of great insight regarding health, nutrition/food, fellowship, prayer, faith, friends, and fitness. Also full of Scripture and other Biblical principles. Especially useful if you are trying to focus on better health throughout the new year, as it is a daily devotional with short readings for each day of the year.
The nature of the subject makes the devotional repetitive, but it serves it purpose well in reminding the reader that God wants us to take care of our health and physical well being.
Read in 2017. January was my first time working out since high school and in June I had my back surgery and over Fall Break I had a scope. As every other year, it seems this one was laden with health issues. This book was good overall, though it did seem repetitive. I guess the points they were trying to drive home were good enough (you can't do it on your own, God made you for real food, blah blah blah), but they should have offered more helpful tips (in my opinion). Anyways, I've read it.
