This is a summary of the book and not the actual book

From the middle of 19th century up until late beginning of 20th century trains running from east coast to the mid-west were carrying orphan children, who were abandoned and left for the foster care system, to their new unknown future.

Orphan train is a story about that. Concentrated around Vivian Daly and her struggle with her new life and challenges that will bring. It’s a story about strength of the human spirit, new start and friendship which is found on the most unexpected place.

I listened to this book, the audio production was magnificent as was the book. The narrator nailed the little Irish immigrant lass. And the nonagenarian as well.
