Bedeviled & Beyond #4

Bedeviled & Belittled

Rate this book
A fun and feisty futuristic romantic paranormal adventure!

As she approaches the age of twenty-five, Astra Q Phelps starts to feel the effects of her Settling, the time when a creature formed of light and dark decides which nature she’s going to embrace. Unfortunately for her, the delectable Dialle, king of the Royal devils, really needs Astra’s help in Hell to deal with an insurrection. But Astra’s Settling pretty much has her thinking of only one thing—S.E.X.! It’s a constant struggle just to keep her mind and body pure so she can concentrate on the business at hand. And, let’s face it, being immersed in the dark world is hardly conducive to culminating her Settling in the light. But Astra Q Phelps is presumably up to the challenge. And Good versus Evil has never been this much fun!

***NOTE: This was previously published under the title The Devil You Know. It is Book 4 of a 6-book futuristic paranormal romance series of full-length standalone novels with no cliffhangers. The series is written in first person POV. There is no objectionable content but the book does contain some violence, consensual sex (with an emphasis on sensual) and the occasional sexual innuendo. The heroine in this fun series isn't always politically correct and may at times embarrass herself and bumble about slightly out of control. If you're not a fan of self-deprecating humor, you might want to give this one a pass!

Holy smokes poor Astra! She just can't catch a break. If it isn't one thing it is another. Emo, so disappointed him he this go around! So not cool dude! I finally got one thing I was waiting for, and it is about time, lol. I feel for Dialle and Astra's relationship. They just can't catch enough time to spend it with themselves, something is always in turmoil. I will say this book had way more steamy scenes and it was down right hotness all the way, lol! Dialle is one sexy Devil!!! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!

We continue with Astra's adventure in book 4. Once again loyalties are tested and relationships changed. Dialle and Astra's relationship evolves even though she is fighting her settling. While the Angels are away at a conference Astra must save the world without their help. I enjoyed the action, passion, mystery, and humor. Lots of twists and some new characters to challenge Astra. Highly recommended!

Astra can get into more trouble than any character I've met

Ms. Cheever keeps me laughing with the antics of this funny, yet charming, protagonist. I like her more with each new book. These stories are not only fun to read, but also well written. Thats a rare treat these days!

Not sure why

Not sure why this book was necessary. Uncontrollable list with anything gets pretty gross. Our heroine committed to Dialle now seems happy to jump any make ally of enemy. Too crude for me on so many levels.
