Just when I think my life with John is settling into a happy place, things at work go crazy. Nothing is as it appears and my world starts falling apart at the seams. John takes care of me in ways I can’t express. He might be the perfect man for me, but I can only take so much before that’s just not enough.
Being a dom means being there for your submissive any time she needs you, even if it hinders your own needs. I’ll do anything for Alix, absolutely anything. She’s the love of my life, but when secrets are revealed, feelings get hurt. Sometimes being a dom isn’t enough;, it’s the man inside who has to be there for hiswoman.
When all is revealed, we both have to find a new balance in our relationship. That is if we can survive it all.

AND Her Ride – a full length novel (MF) – A former female Marine, Ryan, is getting out of the service. While trying to find herself again, she lands at her older brother’s house, which also happens to be where her childhood crush and the motorcycle club her brother runs hangs out.
I have loved everything I’ve read by Rachael Orman. This series was no exception. I was hooked as soon as I read Book 1, Addict. Toxic is Book 3, the last book and the conclusion of John and Alix’s story. In Toxic, John and Alix have started their life together. But, it is not all roses. Despite their life together and getting closer; there are secrets still lurking. Secrets John is keeping. Alix is thrown a twist and her professional life shatters. Alix is also keeping her past a secret, but it will come back to haunt her. When the secrets come out their love is put to the test.
Mariah comes back. All I am going to say on this is that it’s interesting. As I was reading I knew something big was going to happen. But, never did I expect it to be THAT!! (No spoilers here). The suspense will keep you on edge.
John and Alix have incredible chemistry and the sex scenes are OFF THE CHART!! Their dom and submissive relationship comes full circle. Be ready to fan yourself and to take quite a few cold showers.
I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the PERFECT conclusion to John and Alix's story. You must read books 1 & 2 in order to understand Toxic. I love where Rachael takes their relationship in this book. They are both happy with each other, living in a full-time D/s relationship. Alix still has the independence of her job and John still has his clients. There is a little bit more suspense in this final book, and it's fantastic! I love the plot twists that she throws in. The sex of course, is still off the charts steamy. After all the conflict and eroticism, this is a beautiful love story of two people trying to be good enough for the other. You end this series feeling like you got their whole story; that it's complete. While I'm sad to say goodbye to John and Alix, I'm very happy that Rachael brought them to us in the first place.
Alix and John are finally in a really good place when other areas of their life goes crazy. Alix's career implodes and sends her reeling. There are just so many secrets still being held between them. They are scorching hot together and John is a sizzling bossy man. Their relationship is a rollercoaster ride that I just couldn't get off of until the very last page. I just held on tight and enjoyed the ride.
What a wonderful Conclusion to their story! It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering. I am absolutely in Love with John & Alix's story and can't wait to read them all again in the future! <3
I tell ya, this book was worse than the other two. The series started out good, but by the second book, it devolved into all sex all the time, with a light sprinkling of story/plot. Even the plot was weak, too.
Editing-wise, yeah I came across a few misspelled words. There may have been some missing punctuations somewhere, too.
I don't get how utterly dumb Alix is. The psycho ex that goes to crazy extremes to break them up and get John back suddenly is cured with some help and wants to be a friend. Hey, why not? Let's be BFFs. I don't get that at all, then to hide it all from John.
I was disappointed that we finally got some background, but it was only for one of them, and it was just a quick passing conversation during a breakdown at about 90% into the book. I was wanting more.
Overall, the story is good, but I got so tired of sex on every page, with a light sprinkling of story here and there. Take out half the sex in the last 2 books, and combine them into one and it will be great.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. And there were things I still liked about this last book. It tied up a few loose ends, but I would have been fine if the story had ended after the second book. This one was a little slow and repetitive. I still liked the characters. I loved how good they were for each other and how much they understood and cared for each other. The sexy times were still good.
I really liked this series and the characters in it. After all the excitement in the two books prior to this, I was expecting a little more action than I found while reading it. Still a fantastic ending to a good series!
The only thing I didn't like about this book was John's ex-girlfriend Mariah, she was not likable at all even when she was trying to be nice. Other than that I liked this book. The way the story ended made my heart happy. I love Alex's and John's story.
This part of their story was very interesting…I love how no matter what John is trying to be as honest as possible and how they seem to over come no matter what the obstacle!
I run a blog on facebook called TWO PEAS IN A POD with my friend Donna. We both received an ARc of this in exchange for an honest review. I will post Donna's thoughts, and then mine. First

Toxic is the final book in the craving series and we pick up on the story of Alix and John.
Like the previous books the chapters tend to be hot and leave you wanting more.
Someone tends to be messing with Alix's mind and job, and making her get very upset. No matter what she does she feels like her job will soon be lost and on top of this she has to deal with more from her past.
She opens up to John more on what she went through in the past and we begin to understand everything that she has gone through and why she is the way she is. The question is can Alix overcome everything that she has had to deal with and continue the strong relationship with John?
I did find the ending to be a bit rushed and would have liked a bit more to the story. This aside, over all Rachel has done another good job and was a great ending to the series.

I have to agree with Donna. TOXIC is an excellent ending to the Cravings series. I am so sad to see it end. I really liked John and Alix, and I even got attached to them. Sounds strange since they're not real, but Rachael Orman wrote them as if they walked straight off the page. The only downside to the book is like Donna, I felt the ending was rushed. Would have liked to have seen things tied up a bit better, but it certainly does not take away from the enjoyment of the book
WOW just when I thought John had shown us all his tricks we get more !! If you can focus on the plot/storyline during all the super hot erotic sex than I give you credit !! I did have to slap myself a few times to get out of the erotic induced haze I was floating in !! We ended Fiend with a bit of crazy ex and I wondered how much that was going to play a role in Toxic. I mean so many things could be considered TOXIC at this point , I honestly had no clue what the title referred to.
John and Alix have overcome some issues and moved this D/s relationship to a higher level being that they seem to be in love and unable to be without one another. After reading their story I can see this is not just a chemical/sexual thing , they truly care for each other and despite their issues they do make a great team. Somebody is out to get them AND they just may succeed in destroying what John and Alix have worked hard to achieve. Old habits die hard and secrets have a way of coming out when you least expect it. There is no shortage of drama and sex here. Can John and Alix come out on top and defy the odds ?? Will their D/s status remain intact when it all goes down ?? This was a great conclusion to their story and I was happy to have the chance to read it.
Be warned this is NOT for everyone. There is some crazy stuff going on in the bedroom or wherever they want. I was surprised with the techniques and tools of the trade that were new to me when reading !! Some of it was scary but most was exciting !!
I've never made any secret of the fact that I'm a massive fan of this author. I've read everything she's written and if she wrote the phone book, I'd probably read it too. I loved the first 2 books in the Cravings series, although there's technically the novella which is kind of a prequel to this series, too. I love John, he's everything a woman could want in a man, not to mention sexy as hell too. The way he is with Alix makes me wish I had a John. They work so well together and with the issues from their respective pasts, they heal one another. Of course nothing is ever straight forward and after book 2, we get a taste of what John's crazy ex is like. As I read this book and all that happened, I just wanted to shake someone. I could see it happening, and I can't say what it was, as that will spoil the story, but I got so frustrated at times and downright angry. Of course as with all Rachael Orman books, the sex is hot as hell. How she keeps coming up with these amazing sex scenes, I don't know, but I hope she never stops, although my poor fragile heart gets a hell of a workout reading them, not to mention me needing time out in our freezers to cool off. This book was sexy, romantic, hot, suspenseful and I loved it. I can't wait for more from this author.
Loved this final installment! It was just as good as the previous books and even was a little more full of mystery.
Mariah is back, but not in the capacity that I expected. I like that she was not just brushed under the rug.
John is still lying, to himself and to Alix. Despite his best efforts, he cannot continue this lie and when things come to head, he has no choice but to be brutally honest with both Alix and himself.
I really like how Alix was able to be more of herself - and, despite work throwing things at her, she was able to keep herself in line - with the help of a very dominant John.
The chemistry between Alix and John is still off the charts and I love that their relationship develops.
The twists in this story were not all that surprising, but the manner in which they came about were.
This is my favourite book of the series!!!! The characters Alix and John go through so much in this book and your heart can't help but bleed for them both. There is more drama than any of the other books and you get to delve deeper into the characters history and why they have come to this part of their lives.
The secrets they are hiding from one another will end up destroying them. Are they strong enough to fess up or are they going to let those secrets ruin the epic love they have for one another??? Neither are perfect but are they perfect for the other?
This book series needs to be read in order otherwise it will ruin a FANTASTIC story.
If you're anything like me you will be wanting to hit up the local 'Scene' and finding a Master as HOT and Demanding as Master J.
Rachael seems to amazing more and more each time I read her books. Her scenes are some of the bests I’ve read.
Toxic is the third and final book of the Craving series. A fantastic ending to an even more fantastic series. The conclusion to Alix and John's evolving relationship. Two people with dark pasts. Unexpectedly it took finding each to be able to let go of their pasts. Thank goodness Rachael created these broken people.
Rachael was a new author to me when I read Matteo. After reading Matteo I had to read her other books. If you haven't read Rachael go one click now.
You have to read the 1st 2 books before starting Toxic! Book 1 was sexy, books 2 had my panties off but Toxic will have you running to the bedroom wanting to role play as Alix and John. Their relationship is hot and steamy. Until an old flame threatens to destroy it all. Rachael Orman has written another fantasy filled, seductive book that will leave you on the edge of your St. Andrews cross begging for more! Why no voting buttons? Oh I absolutely loved this final book in John and Alix's story. It was Hot, had some drama and so much love!! I want to swoon and sigh over John, the way he treats Alix, their love, the ending was wonderful!! The first couple of chapters will have you squirming....Oh my goodness...I needed a fan. tbh!! Without doubt Rachael has done this series proud, she has written a love story like no other and I cannot wait to read what she comes up with next. Must read series!!!!
What a wonderful Conclusion to their story! It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering. I am absolutely in Love with John & Alix's story and can't wait to read them all again in the future! <3
