When all you’ve known are lies, how do you face the truth?
My past was a bitch.
Now it’s come back to haunt me. After months apart, Daniel and I are finally trying to make our relationship work. But my lies run deeper than either of us imagined. Lies so terrible I imprisoned them in the darkest recesses of my mind. Just when my heart begins to come alive, the lies seep out of the shadows…revealing secrets with the power to crush me.
~ ~ ~
Despite both of our troubled pasts, I want her…more than I’ve ever wanted anyone or anything. I’m determined to fight for her—to fight for us—even if it means facing my own demons. I have to reach Gray before it’s too late…before the truth completely destroys her.

I anxiously awaited this conclusion to Compulsive. After finding myself shouting the praises of book one, I was a little intimidated to read this one. What if it wasn't as good? What if I didn't like where the story took me after I was already so invested? Thankfully, I had nothing to worry about. It was everything I needed to bring this story to its Ever After.
Gray is still struggling with her inner demons. She's made progress in her emotional life, and is battling her demons in a healthier way. She is working on the toxic relationship she has maintained with her father, and she is healing the relationships she strained in the past. I was so excited to see her this way, and the biggest trouble she seemed to have was how to work around all the angst of her relationship with Daniel. His inner demons from the past were haunting him big time, and they were doozies. The little detail of Gray having been his patient, and her tenuous grasp on sobriety and mental health don't aid matters in any way. I do admit to a moment of worrying that this book was going to skip so many of the aspects that made its predecessor so amazing to me and focus on the angst. I should have known better.
Family and friends drop bombshells, as memories from the past resurface and everything Gray thought she knew is challenged. Not just her memories, but her opinions, her relationships, even her sobriety are challenged in a very real and human way. It was so easy to slip inside her mind and see where she was going wrong and realize just how easy it is to sink into that abyss.
Her relationship with her teenage neighbor is really a huge part of not only the back story, but a very large factor in helping her continue to heal and move forward. Not to mention the relationship is heartwarming and an absolute joy to read about. It is one of my favorite things about these books.
Watching everything fall apart closer to the end broke my heart. It gave me all the feels, had me screaming at my kindle and anxiously turning pages to see what was going to happen. I couldn't get to the end fast enough, even though I always dread the ending of a good book, so it makes it bittersweet really. I can't complain, the ending was everything I could have wanted. Satisfying, and yet still so real. No magical cures, no perfect fix, but instead two grown people finding out what works for them, and then running with it. I loved it. ~ George, 5 stars
First let me start by saying this is a sequel to Compulsive and CANNOT be read as a standalone (and check out my 4.5 Coffee Cup review for Compulsive HERE ). And that being said, I'm going to reference some things that will probably spoil the first book, so STOP HERE if you haven't read it yet!! Ok, now that that's out of the way- this was an amazingly perfect conclusion to Gray and Daniel's story in Compulsive.
Daniel and Gray's relationship has been complicated from the start. A therapist and his patient. He knew all of her deep secrets and her fears (at one point it was his job) but she didn't know much about his. She recognized his hesitancy in starting something with her (his reaction to their one night together was proof of that). But she also recognizes that there's more to it than just professional lines being blurred. He's scared and that in turn makes her scared because she desperately wants him to confide in her, so they can stop torturing each other and move forward. But in the midst of her and Daniel's careful exploration of what can be, Gray's already fragile world essentially starts coming apart at the seams. Things she accepted as truth are questioned and despite all of the people around her who love her she feels utterly alone and isn't sure how to cope.
Daniel wants to be her shoulder, he wants to be her rock. But she is pushing him away. His nature is to analyze and doctor, but his past is both pushing him and preventing him in a heartbreaking tug of war with himself. She doesn't want or need Dr. Dan, she needs the man she has fallen for and he is afraid of his past repeating itself.
I can't tell you much without telling you all. But this story, like the first, brings realism into the situation. It would be easy to make this a happy-go-lucky story, but their story has never been one of those. Gray is a complicated character, and her and Daniel's relationship was never going to go smoothly at the start. It had to be messy and tough or it wouldn't seem natural. Gray, as much as she has come along in her story, is still an un-trusting, weary and self-destructive woman. And in order for her to be happy she needs to get passed it and she needs Daniel and Alyssa and Nathan and even her father to help her not spiral. She needs to realize she has a family that loves her, supports her and accepts her no matter what.
Like the first part of this story, it revolves around the bonds of family. But in this one Gray realizes she has more than she knew possible and in her worst possible time she has to decide whether or not she is capable of being what they need in their lives.
This was the end of a two book series by Lia. It was very good. I thought I was going to have a heart attack at several times during the book!
Lia writes books that leave you wondering where she gets these ideas from! She writes true to life things that are so real that you sit on the edge of your seat as you are reading. I did not know how I was going to finish the book.
In this book, Gray had more long ago problems to deal with her father and many problems with Aylissa, Daniel, Nathan, and Kevin. She tries to take care of it herself, but does not do very well!
You must read this second book in the Compulsive series to understand the story! I do not want to give anything away. The book is great and you have to read it, to enjoy it as much as I did.
I was given an Arc of this book for an honest review and I must say I enjoyed it, However I read Compulsive first as this is a two book series and been honest you need to read it first to know where you are with the characters and their pasts!!
The main characters Daniel & Gray..... Can they sort out their lives before its to late...
Really enjoyed this book and it ties up a lot of loose ends from the first book Compulsive ... Read it you won't be disappointed X
Liar (Liar#2) is the second book of the Liar series and is also the sequel to Compulsive. This was truly a very touching and highly emotional series for me and I am so honored as a reader to have been afforded the opportunity to take this journey with Daniel and Gray.
First, let me start by saying that as much as I loved this sequel, I also felt like I needed more and by that, I wanted and needed so much more together time with Daniel and Gray. The first half of the book for me was superb but once I reached the halfway mark, I knew I was in for “something” to happen and was getting more and more anxious for the proverbial “shoe to drop” so to speak and when that revelation came, hmmmm, I wasn’t too sure how I felt about it but I did know that I didn’t connect with it. If I am being honest, I was a tad bit disappointed in that monkey wrench Gray had thrown at her and so for me what happens after that sort of threw me off for a bit. Don’t get me wrong, the “unraveling” of Gray that ensued played out perfectly BUT I just wasn’t convinced that the revelation should have spurned what it did. I guess maybe I could have been onboard if it had been played out differently, the twist being something else to convince me of her demise. For me, I wasn’t totally “convinced” of it and I don’t mean that I think Henry lied about what really happened in Grays’ past but I just wasn’t feeling it, I wasn’t convinced of it and it made that part of the storyline lose a tad bit of credibility. These are just my own personal feelings and others may not even have given any thought to it but that took a bit away for me of the storyline.
Up until Gray’s hidden revelation, this was hands down a clear 5 Star read for me but the latter half of the book prompted me to deduct a half of a star for personal reasons. I wanted much more time with Daniel and Gray and their relationship. I also wanted “more” in the ending if that makes sense, it was great but not “fireworks” spectacular for me, just my own opinion, considering all they had gone through. I hated that they felt the need to move and start fresh for the sake of Daniel’s career, I get that they needed a clean slate and that was good enough reason for me but I hated to think that they couldn’t be out in the open freely without any repercussions. I truly believed that the “major issue” for Daniel would have been addressed and cleared. I also believed if I am being truthful that the “issue” with Daniel would have been the major twist in the story to be honest and that I could have understood and gotten on board with any unraveling, albeit, Daniel and/or Gray but there was no conclusion of that particular part of the story and I was disappointed.
With that being said, Daniel’s character in this book grew leaps and bounds for me. I was in love with him in the first book and this book just made me that much more invested in him and his character, I loved him even more fiercely in this book and loved how he cherished, admired and worshipped Gray. He was finally able to separate himself just be a man and not just a Dr. and I loved seeing his transformation.
Gray, oh Gray, I still continue to love and adore this girl. She was not only a stunning woman on the outside but inside as mixed up as she was, she had a heart of gold. Her relationship with Alyssa was priceless and again, it showed her true character. Yes, she had a bit of a downward spiral for a time but thank goodness she had the sense to realize what was important in her life and make it right.
All in all, this was a superbly written series. The writing was spot on perfect in ever way. The storyline with the exception of my above comments flowed beautifully and kept me once again glued from start to finish. I have to say, I have my own theory on or rather wishful thinking on Nathan and Alyssa, personally, I see a third book in this series and I pray that there is, wink, wink. I would not only LOVE to see more of Gray and Daniel but I am oh so curious as to where Nathan and Alyssa end up, hint, hint! I could be wrong, but in my head and throughout this story, I could see a story bloom in the future featuring these 2 and let me tell you I would welcome it with open arms. If I don’t get that, I would love a novella just to catch up with this cast of characters. I feel totally invested in Daniel, Gray, Nathan, Alyssa, Henry and Becca, Rita, heck I even would like to see where Kevin may eventually end up.
The storylines throughout this series are fantastic, the writing is superb, and I actually felt like I was watching a movie playing out in my head rather than just reading a story, it was that good. I truly felt such a part of it all, I could see everyone, I could feel deep down in my soul the emotions that everyone felt and there is nothing more satisfying than that feeling and I thank you. Author Lia Fairchild, you are a truly talented and gifted writer and I am looking forward to reading much more from you in the future!
'I had learned to lie to protect myself. From memories. From pain. From feeling anything at all, because shutting it out was easier than trying to filter out the bad. It became a reflex, a habit, and - at some point - an inherent part of my personality' - Gray
At the end of Compulsive, Gray and Daniel parted ways so that she could focus on herself and I guess, in a way, become whole again. She had carried grief around for so long that it has weighed down on her like a heavy winter coat. She finally feels like she has control of her future and it feels great.
Months have passed when these two finally see each other again. The attraction between them is as strong as ever and their desire to be together has definitely not dissipated over time. When this couple first met the timing was just off but now if feels just right. They are open to each other now.
"You're staring at me." "I know. You're breathtaking."
They get to enjoy rediscovering each other and building on what was the beginning of a foundation from when they first met. Not everything goes smoothly though and just when you think that these two have begun to move towards a possible happy ever after, their pasts come drifting in through the cracks. The question this time though is how will they deal with it.
'It'd taken me this long to finally understand that the one person you can't lie to is yourself.' - Gray
If Gray has learnt anything in the past few months, it's that being honest and talking things through is a much better option that lying or hiding things from those close to her. When everything comes crumbling down around her will she finally trust in the people who love and care about her?
What about Daniel? His fears of what happened in his past seem to be working their way into his mind and even though his feelings for Gray are like nothing he has experienced before, he still can't help the insecurity he feels about her. He knows she still has lots of things to overcome in her past. He can't help but think with his professional point of view and his personal connection to Gray. These two voices seem to battle it out in his head.
This was a fantastic conclusion to what has been a really interesting series. There were some surprises that I did not see coming and there was not an ounce of predictability anywhere in this book. There were moments of sadness, parts that made me angry and there was also pure joy. If you haven't read anything by this author before then I highly recommend starting with this series.
'Gray had been right all along: we were inevitably bound together. Instead of fighting against us, I should have been fighting for us. For her.' - Daniel
Thank you, Lia Fairchild, for providing me with a copy of this book!
Okay, I need to start with this – I LOVE Daniel and Gray. Compulsive (book 1) and Liar are my favorite Romance EVER. Yes, you read that correctly, EVER.
Fairchild took the genre and made it her own and I loved every word. Gray is a strong heroine and while she does fall in love, she never loses herself or her strength. She very clearly wants and needs to be with Daniel, but never will readers feel like if she can’t be, she won’t be able to move on with her life. I think that is important to me. Daniel is definitely strong and handsome, but never a cliché muscle-bound, must-have-her-now goon. He cares for Gray, that is clear, but again, he doesn’t lose himself.
Now, in Compulsive, Gray’s demons and secrets bring her and Daniel together, but now in Liar, Daniel’s secrets threaten to tear them apart. Lia built in some great backstory and history that everyone will be eager to read. These characters are nuanced and fun – there’s so much to love about all of them. None of that isn’t to say that readers won’t see a ‘bad guy’ or two – keep your eyes peeled; not everyone is in Gray’s and Daniel’s corner!
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the sexy scenes. As a beta reader for this book*, I was watching closely for the sexy scenes. I’m pretty critical of them actually, but in this book, I absolutely ADORED them. Fairchild wrote with expert balance. There’s not too much sex, or silly language used, or over-the-top situations. I know writing these scenes, whether they include sex or not, can be difficult for an author and I applaud Fairchild in handling them the best I may have ever seen then handled!!
Fairchild’s writing, creative story weaving, and on-point character building combines into one spectacular Romance. Even if you aren’t a fan of the genre (it is FAR from my fave), you’ll love this one.
*Thank you for trusting me with your words and the world you’ve built, Lia. It was an HONOR.
I was provided with an ARC of this book by the publisher or author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I am not compensated for any of my reviews.
*Review copy received from the author for an honest review*
3.5 “Dr. Dan is in the house” stars
If you read Compulsive, Liar is the continuation of Gray and “Dr. Dan’s” story. They are miserable without each other, but yet lies and secrets could be their undoing.
My honest opinion of Liar is that it was slow to get started. And I don’t say that in a bad way, it’s just that nothing really jumped out and grabbed my attention till around half way through the story. But the second half is action packed, and I am SOOOO happy I hung in there, and didn’t give up on it.
“Gray had been right all along: we were inevitably bound together. Instead of fighting against us, I should have been fighting for us.”
Gray and Daniel’s relationship is difficult due to how they started, but I have to give it to Daniel, he wouldn’t give up. He stuck by Gray through the tough times, and thank goodness he did. Gray is a mess!!! Even though she has tried hard to get herself together, her whole world gets turned upside down in the second half of Liar. And it is quite a doozy for this already unstable person. But, again, “Dr. Dan” to the rescue.
“I just want to be with you, Gray. Without analyzing you, without interference or fear of consequences for our relationship.”
Even though I didn’t love Liar as much as Compulsive, I still enjoyed reading about where life has taken Gray and Daniel. And I still recommend everyone to give this series a read. You will definitely enjoy the goings on of a damaged and compulsive liar like Gray. Plus, “Dr. Dan” is an added bonus ;) Happy Reading!!
4.5 stars. This book continues from the previous book. Gray is still trying to move on with her life, while coming to terms with her past and her past relationships. When some truths finally come out, it's anyones guess how Gray will react. Will she fall back on old habits or will she finally deal with it? Then there's therapist Daniel. Still blowing hot and cold, he's torn between what's right and what he wants to do. Hiding his own secrets and guilt finally get too much and we find out what makes Daniel...well Daniel. A really good, enjoyable series that i'd definitely recommend
You need to read Compulsive before you read Liar. I think that Liar was a beautiful follow-up to book one. I felt that I'd seen things so much more clearly. It was shocking. Heartbreaking. Nerve wracking. I did not know what was going to happen. The author did an amazing job of bringing it all together in the end. Awesome read!!
This one kept me on the edge of my seat. I fell deeper in love with the characters as they learned to navigate life's obstacles. Thank you Ms. Fairchild for the perfect finale to this story.
No voy a decir que esperaba más, porque realmente fue lo que esperaba. Simplemente hubieron momentos que me aburrieron pero no importó porque tuvo un lindo final que cerró perfectamente.
Intriguing … that was my first thought when I saw the advertisement for this book. Interesting was my second thought as I read the blurb. I was correct on both … Compulsive and Liar were not only intriguing and interesting, they were well written, fast paced and filled with emotion.
Both Gray and Daniel were perfectly constructed characters. They both are strong, weak, self-assured, self hating, hopeful, and filled with emotion. It was so easy to relate with these characters. I bonded immediately with Gray and I fell head over heels in love with Daniel.
While I want to say this isn’t a love story, it is. Along with that, is the emotional baggage of both characters. She needs an escape from the demons that play with her mind. He needs to help her stop using those demons and face the reality of why she lives life the way she does. Add in a fabulous cast of characters, who play such an important part in the storyline and you end up with a interesting, heart warming, heart breaking and loving story.
The lies and the truths. The secrets held within. The twists and turns, confusion, desperation and deceit intensify the storyline. The warmth, comfort and love give you a sense of peacefulness. The sadness of loss and the hopefulness of what may be intensifies the reading experience. What happens when the doctor helps the patient? What happens when the roles are reversed and the patient helps the doctor?
A uniquely told story of life, love, family and friends that intrigues and delights.
I had mixed feeling while reading this book. Unlike the first book which was from Gray's point of view this one was told from both Gray's and Daniel's POV. I really enjoyed reading from Gray's perspective and there was unexpected element in the story and that would have made it a solid 4 star book for me. Then there was Daniel's POV... So this is going to be a book I don't rate because it is not a 4 for me but it is also not a 3.
A feel good all around what you need in life read.
I discovered Lia via Tiktok and I am so glad I did! This duet is a great real like life, all the feels, story that is written beautifully. Its complex without being too over the top. Its packed with mental and emotional moments leaving you to feel everything, in a good way. It has the perfect dash of angst and taboo while still delivering a wonderfully written love story.
Liar was the companion story to Compulsive and must be read in order to understand. These are not standalone stories. They are a duet. Liar began where Compulsive left off with Gray giving Daniel space and herself time to become independent without relying on a man. The same characters as before made up this story. The tone was different this time around with Gray seeking therapy from a different counselor. Dr. Harrison was released of his duties as a doctor and was able to embrace his relationship as a man with Gray. Daniel still had some hesitation and tried to resist Gray but in the end he caved and chased the fun that life had to offer. These two characters had a beautiful progression. Gray was Daniel and Nathan's salvation against the guilt and pressures of life. Nathan had more of a presence in this story to test the resolve of Gray's faithfulness. It's refreshing to have a female character that catches the eye of every man. Usually it's the male character. Daniel was very intimate with Gray creating a very sensual feeling.
In Compulsive I had not noticed the attraction as a honest means with Daniel I thought Gray was manipulating Dr. Harrison for her six month obligation. I can clearly distinguish the true desire in Liar. Hidden in plain sight was a romantic interest between a doctor and patient that created Dr. Harrison to question his professionalism as a therapist. Gray had mental instability and insecurities yet her physical appearance created a facade of normalcy. Gray lost family members but she found herself a new family with great friends. The parallels of these two characters lives was an unexpected surprise. Lia chipped away at my heart piece by piece dishing some happy memories only to placate me for a short period of time before dishing out the sadness. The main characters went back and forth with their guilt of loss leaning on each other then pushing away from each other. Liar was about Gray dealing with her past by seeking therapy in a progressive way. Liar was the story that actually unveiled the lies that were hidden in Compulsive. It was quite shocking to discover the truth behind the lies. I had not seen that one coming. Instead of the truth setting Gray free she spiraled into the darkness. Dr. Harrison was torn once again between the man and the therapist. “I had learned to lie to protect myself. From memories. From pain. From feeling anything at all, because shutting it out was easier than trying to filter out the bad” Excerpt From: Fairchild, Lia. “The Liar Series (Duet Boxed Set).” While the entire premise of both books was based on this lie and concept the beauty in which Lia crafted the story around this concept was the real draw. The story encompassed so much more than I thought. Lia wrote a full rounded story of characters who were on the edge of darkness and brought into the light.
Where do I start? I loved Compulsive (book 1) of this two part series, but this second book just blew me away! Having been introduced to the main characters Gray and Daniel in book 1 and gotten to know a lot about their lives, issues, pains and emotions, it was hard for me to imagine how this second book would do it justice. But boy, was I wrong.....Gray's painful journey of healing, acceptance, understanding an forgiveness is very emotional as is Daniel's.this second book is the continuation of a great romance and as such it has great sexy scenes, but this story is so much more! Lisa through her incredible writing has taken me on the most amazing teller coaster ride of emotions. The hardship this characters go through is heart stopping at times. Gray has so many demons to deal with that you wonder even though she's stronger that you think, how on earth will she come trough this with her state of mind in one piece. Daniel who himself has his own demons to deal with, tries very hard to be the caring understanding and supportive boyfriend Gray need. He struggles to keep the therapist in him at bay constantly fighting himself to just be what Gray needs to be able to overcome all she's going trough and feeling. I don't want to give too much away, just to say this is an amazingly beautifully written story, full of emotions that will have you crying and at times having a lump in your throat. Don't let this put you off....this is a wonderful story that is a total must read!
Liar is the follow-up book to Compulsive from Lia Fairchild. You must read Compulsive before Liar.
The story continues with Gray a compulsive liar and Daniel. Just as Daniel and Gray get together, the secrets that Daniel has might threaten their future.
" I don't want to be a challenge, Daniel. I want to be easy. For once in my life, I don't want complicated....or challenging."
Gray continues to work on forgiving and working on her relationship with her father. Gray learns something from her father that turns her world upside down. Will she be able to work through it and move forward?
And again I love Alyssa and Nathan and what they bring to the story. I think its also safe to say that not everyone want's Daniel and Gray to have a happy ending. I do however have to add that the sex scenes were perfectly written. A little hot and steamy.
I really enjoyed reading Compulsive and Liar, Lia Fairchild did a great job with everyone's stories and bringing them together into a great read. I am definitely planning on following Lia and can't wait to see what's coming next.
"Liar" is the 2nd of 2 riveting novels by the masterful author, Lia Fairchild. IMHO, she never disappoints. Not now; not ever. A skillfully written contemporary romance makes this a compelling must read for all fiction lovers.
Gray is a woman and a 'compulsive liar' who is trying to find herself as her drama continues to unfold around her. Not only does this distinctly captivating story-line revolve around her 'problem' and emotional roller-coaster ride, but also how it affects those she cares about, and who care about her as well.
I loved the appealing characters & their amazing dialogue, as the author's attention to detail is so vivid, I did not want to stop reading. This book will reel you in, right into the story and keep you held hostage and wanting more, as you continue turning pages and ignore your own life, when you can.
Even though I was given an advance reader ecopy to read in exchange for my honest review, I sincerely loved this & highly recommend both books, but you must read them in order. As always, I look forward to more from one of my favorite authors of all time, and hope to see at least some of the characters one day again.
After finishing book one, I thought there is no way that book two could be as emotionally moving as book one was. Boy was I wrong, Liar grabed me and pulled me along for what can only be described as an emotional roller coaster.
Daniel and Gray have tried to stay away from one another, but the pull between them is not one that can be ignored, but a relationship for them is wrong given that Daniel was her doctor. As inreal life though, the heart what the heart wants, and their hearts want each other.
For Daniel this book is fighting for Gray, fighting for her to stay with him and fighting to help her move past her past, and for Gray this book is fighting to deal with her past and the relality of what her past really was. Will Grays's past become too much, will finding out the truth be too much for her to handle, and will Gray and Daniel get the relationship and future that two ordinary people deserve.
Words can not describe the "feels" that this book gives, real life people strugging with real life problems.
I recieved a complimentary copy of this series from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I would give this book 4 stars. There were parts which I struggled to stay interested, but it quickly redeemed itself!
This is the continuation of Gray and Daniel's story. It picks up roughly 6 months after the end of Compulsive. I thought it was neat that the 'boring' part of their starting over... slowly... was skimmed over, which kept it interesting! As the two of them work to find their way back to each other, more bumps in the road threaten to derail Gray's progress.
It was nice to see the characters make mistakes... nothing unforgivable though... and work through it all as a team. This was a great story about two people with issues, learning to move forward together.
Was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review..
Yet another incredible book from Lia!I loved Compulsive and Liar was a beautiful end to Daniel and Gray's story. A compulsive liar, dealing with a horrible past and her beyond patient therapist... falling in love. This book causes a roller coaster of emotions and you just can't help but feel as though you are a part of their lives, experiencing it right along with them. Daniel was a sweetheart, patient and as understanding as one could be, yet he too struggled with his own demons. Everyone has a past... we're all just left effected in different ways.. Gray was surely left prone to making some bad decisions but in the end, the truth hurts AND heals. This was a beautiful story, not to be missed - Highly recommended!
Great read by Lia Fairchild. This is the continuation and conclusion to Daniel and Gray's story.
This book will take you for a ride with your emotions. You are drawn into that you feel like you are right there with them going through it as well. They are both working on moving past their past and moving on but sometimes the past has other plans.
Can Gray and Daniel sort out and deal with their pasts before its to late? Or were they doomed from the beginning?
This is one of those books you cannot write to much without giving things away. All I can say is you must read Compulsive in order to follow along with Liar but it is so worth it.
Daniel and Gray are back and trying to make their relationship work. Will they survive hauntings from their pasts? How will their relationship heal and have a future? I liked this psychological drama. The writing flowed well. I loved that it's told in both Gray and Daniel's point of views. You really feel like you're in their heads and feeling their emotions. You need to read the first book in the Liar Duet before you read this book. Liar does complete the duet. Reviewed on behalf of Once Upon an Alpha.
I loved the follow-up but deducted half a star because I felt I needed more together time for Daniel and Gray:( Sorry, I loved and adored these 2 and I felt it got cut a tad bit short. With that being said, I would love a follow-up on this great cast and I would love to know if there will be a story to be told between Nathan and Alyssa:)
Lia Fairchild is one talented author and I am now an official fan of hers:)
