Holiday Encounters is a box set of books one through three of the Holiday Encounters series by Amy Lamont. I have enjoyed this series so much and also went on to read book four which I dearly loved. I have reviewed these three books individually in more detail but here I will just give a brief overview.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE – Book one
We meet Emma Glover, an introvert who is more comfortable at home in her pj’s than going to the club with her three best friends and roommates. They are getting concerned for her so The Bet is introduced. Each of them must do something outside of their comfort zone.



Emma is a writer but writes under a pen name. Her alter ego is a wild child and her exploits are born from Emma’s fantasies. Emma is trying to live through her alter ego when she goes into the hotel bar intent on meeting a man. But then she sees him, a man she can’t look away from, and her world changes.

Nathaniel (Nate) Wilder is a billionaire but Emma has no idea who he is. A night of passion makes Emma hope that there might be more, that maybe Nate might want more. Will he, or is one night all there can be?

SNOWBOUND WITH THE BIKER – Book two
Katelyn Murphy is known as the nice girl. She will do anything to keep everyone around her happy. But she’s beginning to realize that she is being taken advantage of. She needs to make some changes and knows just where she wants to start.

Hunter Lawson was Katelyn’s next door neighbor growing up and her older brother’s best friend. She has loved him since she was eleven years old. He enlisted but she recently was told that he was back and working in a biker bar. So off Katelyn goes to change her destiny. To finally confront the man she has loved most of her life.



Katelyn convinces Hunter to take her with him on the back of his bike when he needs to go up the mountain to check on a friend’s cabin. A freak snow storm strands them together in the cabin and forces them to finally face their feelings for each other.

GETTING LUCKY WITH THE ROCK STAR – Book three
Paige is both in medical school and working at a hospital. She is on the go non-stop. She can’t help but feel that this isn’t what she thought it would be like. Paige had met rock star Jared Sloane on the night that Emma had met her billionaire. She and Jared began a secret relationship out of the eyes of the paparazzi. For Paige, her time with Jared was a reprieve from her chaotic life. But then something happens at her work that makes her need to take a step back and regroup. Jared offers the best way, for her to go with him on a short one week promotional tour when she is on spring break.



Paige and Jared enjoy the time of their lives but for Paige, it’s just a short vacation before she has to return to real life. Or could it be more?

All three of these books were so much fun. I have really enjoyed getting to know these women and the men they are falling in love with. As I said, I went on to read book four, Summer With The Soldier and loved Jade and Logan’s story so much. You can’t go wrong with this series. They are all sweet, sexy and perfect to snuggle up with on these cold nights.

I really enjoyed these stories, They were quick hot little reads that kept you turning the page.
I would love to see the first one turned into a full book as I just wanted more of Anna and her billionaire. The writing was strong and done well and because the stories were short this made it great.

I absolutely loved Amy Lamont’s anthology! Four friends and one bet, all have different personalities but one goal in mind; find a man and by New Year’s have the most intense story of the bunch to make sure the others owe you a bet. The storyline is amazing; the writing simply entertains and kept me wrapped around its fingers until the only thing that forced me to put the book down was my eyes slowly but surely closing at 2am. If there’s a fourth part to this series, sign me up because I honestly would like nothing more than to find out more about these women who have banded together and constantly support each other no matter the situation. Could you feel the connection between the girls and their men? Absolutely!! It was hot, amazing and temptation on a stick! Are the situations relatable? Some are, and those that aren’t are full of twists, laughter and so many innuendos that the rest simply pales in comparisons. Do I recommend the anthology? Without hesitation I’m telling any fan of the romance genre or even of Amy Lamont to click on that purchase button and enjoy the three books of the Holiday Encounter series currently available.

3 Holiday Stars.

This bundel exists of three books in the series Holiday Encounters: Christmas with the Billionaire, Snowbound with the Biker, and Getting Lucky with the Rock Star. In every book THE BET plays a part. The four friends Emma, Katelyn, Paige and Jade, make a bet who has the wildest adventure before New Years Eve (and later Summer) wins. Every story is told in solo POV, from whomever girl the story centers.

Christmas with the Billionaire
Christmas with the Billionaire focuses on insecure Emma Wilder and billionaire Nate Wilder. Emma is a writer and under a pen name she writes about the sexiest adventure. But, those are not Emma's adventures, because she hasn't got a lot of action between the sheets. On the contrary, she rather stays home in her flannel pajama's eating Chinese. Then Paige drags her to a hotel, where she meets Nate Wilder. She's immediately attracted to him, but also doesn't know how to flirt of have sex with him. (She is set out to have sex with a stranger). She is really insecure, but Nate coaxes her out of her shell. They have mind-blowing sex all night, but when the next day Emma becomes aware that she doesn't want Nate for just one night. All seems good, until Nate sees the contents of her purse and flees from her. Can Emma get him to trust her?

Christmas with the Billionaire is a story about insecurity, trying new things, falling in love, misunderstandings, and trust issues. It's a short story and it only contains two sexy parts, which I'm happy about. Because the story isn't entirely about sex, but it's also about having a strong connection with someone and overcoming insecurities and building trust.

Snowbound with the Biker
Snowbound with the Biker is about Katelyn Murphy, who is unhappy with her job, but is scared to something and she has always been in love with her ex-neighbour (from home) and her brother's best friend Hunter Lawson. She always does everything to please her parents. When her mother tells her that she's leaving Katelyn's dad, Katelyn's worlds seems to crumble apart. That's when, in light of the bet, she decides to take a leap of faith and visit Hunter. She jumps on a train and when she's there she tries to make clear to him that she came there for him. He doesn't believe her, when they get stuck in a cottage, because of the snow, that is her last chance to convince him about the feelings she's been harboring for all these years. Will she succeed?

Snowbound with the Biker is about old love, taking a leap of faith, putting your heart out there, and also some misunderstandings. This is also a short story, and it contains only one sexy scene, so that's also okay. I loved how Katelyn put her heart on the line while trying to convince Hunter. First, Hunter was really cold, but it was nice to see that after everything Katelyn told him, he seems to warm up. You get to see a really warm personality, who cares about others.

Getting Lucky with the Rock Star
Getting Lucky with the Rock Star is Paige Jordan's story. In the first two books you see how hard Paige works. She is in med school and also puts a lot of hours in the hospital. In the third book, you finally get to read what this is doing to her and how she's really unhappy with everything about her life. When something tragic happens at the hospital she is broken and she finds consolation by rock star Jared Sloane. Who we also know from the first book. Apparently they have been hooking up regularly. Paige needs a break, so when Jared makes her the offer to come with him on tour for a week, she gladly takes it. That week is like a dream, a fantasy, but she knows there's no future for her with Jared and that soon she needs to return to her real life, with her real job. But does Jared also see this as short term or does he want forever with her?

Getting Lucky with the Rock Star is about the possibility of casual sex becoming more, pressure from the home front, not knowing what you want exactly, and finding that out. I liked this story best, maybe because I already knew Paige from the previous books, or maybe because in my eyes Paige went through the largest transformation. I also loved that Jared wasn't the typical rock star, but he was kind and considerate and he really cared for Emma.

So...
I'm really not cut out for short stories, because I miss depth and character development. As was the case with these three stories. I still liked to read them, but I also found it difficult to find the motivation to keep reading. When reading, I only read small parts, so it took me a long time to get through these. I loved Paige story the best, she really grew throughout the story. In the beginning she was working really hard to become a doctor, because that's what everybody expected of her, and she didn't have any time for love or boyfriends. That changed and I loved reading about her. Even though I didn't love love love it, I still want to read Jade's story, to make it complete. Oh, and the Holiday Encounters serie can really be enjoyed at every part of the year, doesn't necessarily have to be Christmas when you read it.

This was a fun read. The characters were realistic and each was their own unique person with feelings, fears, and insecurities believable to their own life situations. I also really appreciated the overall point that, where relationships are concerned, it's usually a lack of communication that gets in the way rather than our feelings themselves.

Christmas with the Billionaire:
This is our introduction to the four best friends and the bet they make to shake up their lives, and it begins with Emma. She is clearly the most timid, a total introvert who lost her parents in high school. She is also the most insecure, and she had somehow managed to hold on to a sense of childlike innocence and wonder. Nate is just the opposite. He is confident and self-assured, and a bit cynical and jaded. A fun tale, and a good introduction.

Snowbound with the Biker:
Next we get a peek into the mind and heart of Katelyn, a sweet girl who puts everyone else first, is nice to everyone, and has a habit of not going after what she really wants. Hunter was the motorcycle riding boy next door whom Katelyn had lived since forever, and her brother's best friend. This one is full of surprises and I identified with Katelyn and the dilemmas of being "too nice."

Getting Lucky with the Rock Star:
Paige is a confident, driven, go-getter who is good at going after what she wants but not so good at examining her feelings. Jared is the lead singer and a guitar player in a fictional band called Sliding Violet. This one was my favorite, not just because it has the most sex, but because, while not on such a grand scale as this, I married a guitar player myself.

All in all I enjoyed these stories and am interested to see how Jade's story unfolds. I would recommend this book to any fans of realistic romance.

I really enjoyed these 3 stories. This was my first time reading Amy Lamont and it will definitely not be my last. I was just expecting 3 contemporary romance stories, but I got so much more. The premise of the book is that there are 4 best friends and they make a bet to do something adventurous. The first book, Christmas with the Billionaire is Emma's story. I really liked Emma, she is a writer and a homebody and her adventure is to have a one night stand. What I really loved about the story was that it wasn't long with tons of detail or so short that you didn't connect with the characters. It was just perfect. Emma and Nate were perfect. The right amount of humor, sexy and drama. The best part? There is going to be more of their story in a future book!

The second book is Snowbound with the Biker, which is Katelyn's story. She ends up having a bad day and does something impulsive which leads her to being snowbound with her brother's best friend who she has a massive crush on. They definitely figured out how to keep warm during the snowstorm.

The third book is Getting Lucky with the Rock Star and this one probably had the most drama out of the 3, it is probably the most sexy, too. What's not to love about Jared? Even after months, Paige can't keep her eyes and hands off of his body. While each story has a hea, I'd definitely like some more of Paige's story. I received a copy of this book for an honest review and I can honestly say that I can't wait for the next book in this series, which will be Jade's story, then more Nate & Emma!

I really enjoyed this books and will definitely be reading more from this author. These were fun quick reads with a lot of chemistry but also feeling as well. I don't tend to read novella's because I find that things are too rushed and you miss so much. This was perfect though. Altohugh I could have read more I was never left feeling disappointed by these books. I feel like I need to take inspiration form these 4 friends who make a bet to have an adventure and mix up their lives a little. My favourite would have to be Gettig lucky with a Rockstar but I loved all three and am looking forward to Jade's story next.

Snowbound with the Biker good girl, Katelyn finds a way to get her courage up to go after what she wants, her brother's best friend, Hunter, the biker. Outgoing Paige becomes secretive about her budding relationship with rock star Jared. I loved the happy endings for each girl and guy in these and the mature characters that were willing to change to make a relationship work in Getting Lucky with the Rock Star.

Great Series of Love Stories

This is compilation of books about 3 friends and theirs loves and how they met. The stories all started out as a bet but don't end up as one. They are very sweet and sometimes complicated just like life. These stories are also funny and can show that its ok to go after what you want and take it for yourself. Sometimes that's the only way you are going to get what you want or if its what you really want.

Fun holiday-themed stories with th common thread of 4 friends who place a challenge/bet amongst themselves to see which one of them can have the wildest adventure.

This book contains the first 3 stories involving Emma (and Nate), Kate (and Hunter) and Paige (and Jared). Each one is heartwarming and sexy with just the right amount of overlap in characters.

I enjoyed all of them equally which makes this a great find!

Four best friends made a bet, to have a grand adventure by New Year’s Eve. At that time they will vote on who had the grandest, out of your comfort zone adventure. The winner will have whatever she wants from the losers. So the 4 friends went out to find their out of this world moment. And it led them to love.

4 Friends

Four women grow up together and were best friends\sisters. Each girl were working on their careers and were all roommates. Emma wasn't much of a dater. The girls were on the train back to the city at Thanksgiving when they made a bet. They would all find a relationship before Christmas. Each were working on it. Finding love and happiness.

These are the first books I've read from this author and I really enjoyed them! Fun characters, cute stories with just enough depth to them to give you a unique sense of each character, and good plot variety with a good dose of sexy time. I must read Jades story now!

Refreshing romance

I dived into the series not knowing wether I would love or hate these books. I was pleasantly surprised as I really enjoyed them and had a lot of fun times. Definitely recommend for an evening or any free moment.

I re-read book one, previously read Christmas 2015, and enjoyed the girlfriends’ continuing stories in books two and three. Their stories span several months but they’ve made for a sweet and sexy holiday read.
