For the 1st three books (unable to bring myself to read any more)

Life is too short to read bad books. And yet I slogged through the first three, hoping the storytelling would develop; sometimes writers become more mature in their storytelling. And honestly, there was some improvement, just not enough to make it worth even finishing the book. I got this as part of the complete omnibus, and man, was that a waste of $1.99 or whatever the deal was.

Premise, great. I'm so all over retold fairy tales, and especially when they're in a totally different world. Vampires, dragons, knight angels, all fantastic fairytale fodder.

Writing, not my cup of tea. Lots of short choppy sentences, and honestly, my own personal quirk of chopping off unnecessary "There are" or "I was" from the beginning of sentences. Sometimes, sentence fragments do the job. Sometimes, sentences should be more fleshed out. This story definitely needed more flesh, and not in a nsfw way.

But just zero character development. Leaps in relationships without any interaction. Manufactured and repetitive angst and affirmation stated by the characters rather than experienced.

By the middle of the 1st book, I had serious doubts. By the middle of the 2nd book, I was dreading picking it up. By the middle of the 3rd book, I was hoping for the end so I could at least get goodreads credit for a completed book. But when the relationship went from true love epiphany from a kiss and a few loving words while both characters were being stabbed on an altar by some mysterious being for some vaguely described purpose, to marrage with almost no exposition, then suddenly an adoring (adopted/precocious?) child appears, again with a vague "a year passed" description? I put the book down and composed a scathing review before moving on to something that actually deserved to be read.

Adventure, fantasy, romance, and humor: you'll find it all in this series! Against the quirky backdrop of modern teenage life, Workman reimagines our favorite fairytales. I loved how (some of) the characters were aware of their names being connected to the classic stories. Each new book brought out more wonderful characters in this intricate web of narrative. From Snow White to Alice and everyone in between, every character had their own voice and their own style. Looking forward to the next installment and hoping for a conclusion of epic proportions to wrap up all these crazy adventures. If you're looking for a bedtime story for the kids, stick to the classics, but if you want a little more edge to the stories you fell asleep to, dive into this series.

Okay this omnibus was a marathon. There are quite a few interrelated stories going on. These are all fairy tales reimagined. Aries lives under the sea, Cinderella, Snow White and her 7 best friends, Arthur Pendragon, Maleficent - many, many books. Almost all of them were fantastic. My only criticism is that I bought the minibus so I could find out what happened and whilst there are a few endings in there, there are lots of new beginnings so now I'm left waiting for the ends to a lot of different stories. I'd have preferred to dip into the stories at my leisure rather than start new ones before I finished the old ones. Loving the series though, so I will buy new books in the series as they come out.

Fairytales with a twist! I enjoyed reading each of these stories. I can't wait for the next books to come out. In saying that expect cliffhangers in this book. I'm amazed at how the author came up with such amazing descriptive stories. These are the normal fairytales I know and loved as a little girl but with a complete twist...I love it!

I LOVED this series!! It's a fairytale retelling of all our favorite Disney Princesses but with a totally different twist. If you're into vampires, magic, love & suspense, these books are a must read!

So yeah, it wasn't your typical fairytail, or typical vampire read. Instead, it was a pleasant deviation from the norm. Each book in this series had me glued to each and every page from beginning to end. I can't wait for the next collection!

Bubblegum Horror.
It would seem that every situation is solved by a kiss from your true love. I found all yhe stories very same old, same old. Teen romance/fantasy may not be you cup of tea, but even if it is, then by the third volume, of this omnibus, you will not fail to see the similarities.
Also ir is not every book in the Blood and Snow universe. As the publishers claim. There is no Conclusion. It leaves you hanging. However, to be fair, it is a chunky read. On that basis, good value.
if you are 12 to 15, then keep reading. The Blood on Snow series is better than the mindless drivel that is on TV.
