MY RATING: 5 STARS IS JUST NOT ENOUGH

WAITING FOR US: Is about coming of age, first kiss, first heartbreak, loss of virginity, but most importantly opening your heart to what's standing right in front of you, from friends to lovers.. LOVE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

You know when you come across a book where you just inhale it, breathe it, this was one of those books for me, every second, minute, hour I was lost within these pages, I never wanted to leave, I never wanted it to end, i felt everything the author wanted me to feel and that is why this book has landed on my favourite book shelf on here..when an author can do that with just her words on paper has made me a fan of hers..

Cory vs Marcus who will win Haileys heart?

Waiting for us: Starts us off in the year 2004 with twelve year old Hailey where she is first introduced to Cory her brothers best friend, even then she would get the warm fuzzy feels in his presence.

I'm only twelve years old, but when he smiles at me, I feel a physical reaction, like hundreds of tiny butterflies fluttering crazily in my stomach.

We're introduced to Marcus 2005 during school break

Every year as school lets out in June we go to our summer cottage on Cape cod, my best friend Marcus and his mum live in the house across the street, we only hang out together during our beach time

I love this sooooo cray cray much, once you begin this book it's really hard to put down, even though we're introduced to Hailey when she's only twelve years old, each chapter moves up through the ages so it allows you more of an in depth connection with the characters. The feels when reading this are what is making me love this like I am, you feel her love for her best friend, the confused feelings she feels towards Cory, her first heartbreak when her first boyfriend betrays her, the love, the tears, the anguish, the heartbreak you FEEL everyone of those FEELS..

I think a person's first kiss should be special so I was kind of hoping that maybe we could have our first kisses with each oher? ~ Marcus

I can not believe that Waiting For Us by Dawn Stanton is her debut novel, how is this even possible?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It seems like such a cliché for you to be turning sweet sixteen and you've never been kissed. I thought I could help you out with that ~ Cory

I'm kind of rooting for one of these guys over the other, and I'm hoping he's the one she ends up with, so I'm kind of speeding through the pages like a race driver to see which one she chooses in the end..prays that it's the one I want her to choose..Soooooo she didn't choose the one I thought and wanted her to choose BUT reading why she didn't made all the sense in the world and I think she made the right choice, and maybe just maybe the one she didn't choose gets his very own book??

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ohhhhh this is a game changer nearing the middle of the book (part 2) we get Cory and Marcus's POV this book just gets better!!

So Cory and Hailey will be working together at her fathers firm, her father has asked that she shadow Cory and he teach her the ropes, being in close proximity together on a daily basis is going to heat things up with these two..The attraction is not one sided so this working together is either going to make or break them...

There is soooooo much more I want to add to my review but I don't want to wreck it for you guys, when this is released please take that plunge and one click this, it's that good!! If you love books that give you all those feels like endorphins racing through your body don't just think about one clicking this do it, you seriously won't regret it, it's truly an awesome read..

Fantastic
Amazing
Breathtaking!

These words doesn't even cover the feelings that I have for this book. This book might be Dawn's first book but it will never be my last of hers. This one has me rooted for this author and have entered my list of one-clickers where I will one-click even without reading the synopsis.

These five stars aren't even enough to express the feelings I had during this book. It was an all nighter for me. I just couldn't stop once I started it. Once it was over, I thought what should I do now?

Marcus or Cory? When both of them love Hailey who will she choose? If she chooses one, it will break other's heart. Where does this heart belong? I really loved how the characters developed through heartbreaks, relationship, friendships. I felt I actually was living in it, I was experiencing every feeling. It felt so real. I loved Hailey. She is strong and cares about everyone. She is quite a fresh character from other female characters I have read. Dawn gave us two yummy boyfriends and even I couldn't choose between them.

They both sweet and unique in their own way and I was rooting for both.I wished she choose both and have an amazing threesome relationship but it isn't possible haha.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone!!

I can not stomach reading one more woman in this book being call trashy or skanky or the one that made me want to throw my kindle unprofessional. All these women had a few things in common they were all blonde with big boobs. As someone with naturally big boobs and blonde hair I've been told since I was in high school that the way I look is unprofessional or trashy just by being. Someones hair color or the shape of their body is not a reflection of their character. This next part from the book I'm fixing to mention is the moment I almost threw my kindle across the room because I was so fucking mad.
THIS IS AN ACTUAL QUOTE
"There's a woman who I surmise must be the secretary for him and the other two junior associates. She has bleached blonde hair and her large chest is on display in her red V-neck blouse... she's just Cory's type. He stops to introduce me to her and I learn that her name is Candy. OMG, I can't make this shit up. I can't wait to tell Marcus and Shelby about this. Candy says hello to me with her lips pursed as if she ate something distasteful. The only thing distasteful is her blouse. I'm kind of shocked my dad would employ someone that looks so unprofessional. Then again, one of the other partners may have hired her."

Also wtf Corey is so creepy he is 8 years older and she is a teenager. He supposedly has all these girls throwing themselves at him but he wants a 16 year old? okay weirdo.

edit: Just skipped and read the last few pages and SHE ENDS UP WITH COREY? HER BROTHERS BEST FRIEND? THE ONE WHO IS 8 YEARS OLDER THAN HER? THE ONE WHO HAS BEEN CREEPING ON HER SINCE SHE WAS AN ACTUAL CHILD AND HE WAS AN ADULT. nope nope fuck no I'm glad I quit this when I did.

I had the pleasure of being a beta reader for this fantastic book and I'm excited to express my thoughts with you. Thank you Ms. Stanton for that opportunity.

Waiting For Us by Dawn Stanton is a fabulous debut book. It's sexy, funny and full emotion- everything authors strive for when writing.

Stanton takes us through the trial of growing up with Hailey and Marcus. We see them as best buds in the beginning, hanging out and surfing. They were just happy kids, and always there for each other.

Then the summer came she met her older brother's extremely hot roommate from college, extremely hot is probably to mild for Corey Marshall. He was off the scoville scale, aren't they all when your 13 and they are older guys.

I don't want to give too much away, this book is too awesome for spoilers. You need to enjoy every spicy tidbit for yourself, but I will tell you it's one NOT to be missed.

This was one of those books that kept me up late at night to read just one more chapter. I sneaky read it at 2 a.m. when I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep (just one more chapter!). I was completely sucked in and simply had to know what came next.

I was at first a little taken aback, but then completely engaged by the way it was written. It starts with Hailey's point of view through her teenage years—giving us an in-depth look at her coming-of-age experiences. Marcus is the best friend she's had since childhood. Cory is the forbidden, older brother's best friend. The two are both nearly constant presences in her life from the time she's 12 years old, and both have played pretty significant roles in shaping who she is.

It's a love triangle—and I struggle with those. If I had paid more attention to the blurb and not gotten sucked in immediately at "brother's best friend", I might have been a little more hesitant to pick this one up. Love triangles stress me out—I spend so much time feeling bad for the "loser" that I lose sight of the swoony, happy feelings in the love connection. In this case, both Cory and Marcus were good, solid, sexy, sweet choices. My heart ached and yearned for both of them, which meant that no matter who Hailey chose in the end, this one was going to leave a mark.

Hailey....*sigh*. This is, at its heart, a coming-of-age story, so we're privy to a lot of immaturity and questionable decision making as we watch Hailey grow and mature. There were things I loved about Hailey—she was always honest, and always communicative. The things that happened weren't a result of some stupid miscommunication or a refusal to talk. However, she made some really selfish choices and there were times I found her completely unlikeable. I think it is a testament to how well this was written, and how completely sucked into the story I was, that I had such a strong emotional reaction to her.

I'm so conflicted about this book! I loved how it was written. I was completely sucked into it, wanting to know what happened and how everything was going to play out. But I was left feeling...unsettled. It was just missing something for me. An epilogue would have been perfect, I think—to soothe my still bruised and aching heart. To that end, however, I do think it's well written and completely addictive read, and if you’re looking for something sexy and angsty—and don’t mind a little bruising around the heart—this one is definitely worth the ride. ~ Shelly, 3.5 stars

Awesome debut book for new comer Dawn Stanton. She weaves a tale of a young girl coming of age and the two major men who play roles in her life from the time she is twelve until she turns 23. This story is filled with all the first a young girl can experience in life, first crush, first kiss, first love and her first broken heart.

Hailey spends her summers at her families beach house with her best friend Marcus near by. They are inseparable. We watch as their friendship gets stronger each summer and how they change and realize that maybe they could be more. When Hailey gets her heart broken by her current boyfriend, Marcus is there to pick up the pieces.

Cory, oh Cory!!! Can you tell I am #teamCory?! He is Hailey's older brothers best friend. From the first time she sees him, Hailey is in love. With several years between them Hailey doesn't see a future between them. That all changes when Cory kisses her on her 16th birthday. As the years pass, they have a few more encounters that only makes Hailey want him more and has her questioning if Cory feels the same way she does. Cory has had feelings for Hailey for a long time and has had to hold himself back. His best friends younger sister is off limits. That all changes, when she spends a summer working for him at her father's law firm.

Marcus is Hailey's best friend and savior. He has been there through all the major milestones in Hailey's life. He has stood by her and watched as her heart was broken and he helped to mend it. He was her first kiss. For Marcus, Hailey is it. Can he be enough for Hailey? Will she choose him in the end?

Go grab your copy of Waiting For Us, an awesome debut book. Well written, with plenty of laughs and firsts and a bit of a love triangle thrown in to boot. If you love a dirty talking alpha (Cory) this book is definitely for you. I love the characters and the way the story plays out. Told in different points of view, you get I great read from all the characters.

***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

I discovered this book by accident and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.  This is the sweet coming of age story for Hailey, Marcus, and Cory.  If you haven't read it, grab it!

Hailey is the type of friend I wanted to be, wanted to have, and the woman I want to be when I'm grown up.  She's fun, carefree, and loves to surf. We watch her transition from child to womanhood as the years go by at the beach.  The transition isn't easy and by the time she graduates, Hailey has already experienced heartache.

Marcus, Hailey's best friend and childhood companion.

He's the quintessential boy next door or in this case, the kid across the street.  His feelings for Hailey are resolute. He watches her fall in love, picks up the pieces when her heart gets broken, and is her rock in times of crisis.  His loyalty to Hailey doesn't go unnoticed and it's one of the reasons I fell in love with him.

Cory, the third character.  He just happens to tag along with his college best-friend, Jake, one Thanksgiving and meets a young Hailey. As the years go by, strong feelings develop. While Cory likes the ladies, it is obvious that he is driven and passionate. He's also pretty hot.

The journey these three take into adulthood is not without its ups and downs. Heart ache, upheaval, love, and happiness. All play factors, but it comes down to the choices that are made. Which one is it going to be?

Dawn Stanton wrote an amazing book with such down to earth characters. You are taken on an eleven year journey - from childhood to adulthood and get to bond with the characters.  Pick it up.  You won't be disappointed.

I received a copy of Waiting for Us by Dawn Stanton in exchange for an honest review.
I am not normally a fan of love triangles. However, Dawn Stanton has outdone herself in this book and waiting for us is an amazing romance. Marcus or Cory? that is the big question in this book and i really did love both characters.
You feel just as confused as Hailey when reading as both the boys are completely different, yet fantastic in their own right. Haley's relationships and story arcs with Marcus and Cory are both completely different and there is never a boring moment. I had my own favourite and I can tell you that i was very happy with the ending.
I do hope that there will be a sequel for the poor boy that wasn't chosen as each character in this book shine in their own right and I really do hope I get to see them again.

Fantastic for a debut novel!!! It was fab... not your usual fall in love with your brothers best friend who is 7 years your senior!!! I loved the way this book was set. In part one you have the POV of Hailey who had loved and lusted after Cory since she was 12 years old. You also meet Marcus, Haileys best friend forever!!! Yes it was a love triangle but what a triangle it was. She goes through angst of growing up and the usual trials and tribulations of life and love and loss. Then you get to part two and you are blown away as you have Haileys POV as well as Marcus and Cory!!!! Oh my... Well I could spoil things here but you have to read this book to find out what happens and why they happen!!!

As a reader I have to say this book kept me entertained and this is how a book should be!!!

Well done Dawn on a fab Debut and I can't wait for book 2!!!!

Five happy stars!!!!

Waiting for us is a coming of age book with lots of love, firsts and heartbreak. Marcus or Corey? who will Hailey choose?
The first part of the book focuses on the past, the author does a wonderful job of developing the characters and there relationships. the second part of this book is the present, where Hailey has to choose and leave someone heartbroken.
I can't recommend this book enough! I absolutely loved it and devoured it in one sitting, it's well written and is told in different points of view. You are left guessing right till the end who Hailey will choose, though I do think she made the right decision. I can't wait for the next book...

Waiting for Us is a sweet story of love that spans years of Hailey's life. It begins when she is young and meets her brother's best friend Cory and her heart flutters with the first signs of love for him. Then there's her best friend Marcus who she can't imagine her life without. Over the years things happen between them and she is in love with both. I so adored Hailey. She is sweet and loves those around her so much. Both of these men are so special to her and I have to admit that I was actually rooting for Erik for a good portion of the book. I really liked him for her. I so enjoyed her story.

I give Waiting for Us 5 hearts!

I came across Waiting For Us by Dawn Stanton by sheer coincidence and it has been one of the most delightful and refreshing books to read in a long time. A sweet coming of age story that pulled at my heart strings, the story of Hailey, Marcus, and Cory is too beautiful to pass up!

Hailey is the kind of friend I wanted to be as a kid and the kind of woman I strived to be growing up. She's such a fun, carefree kid and we watch her grow every summer at the beach. She's happy, loves to surf, and her best friend Marcus is the perfect companion for her childhood adventures. But growing up doesn't come without it first loves and first heartaches and by the time we see her graduate high school, she's already been jaded by love.

Marcus is the quintessential boy next door, or across the street in this case. His best friend happens to be his neighbor Hailey, the one girl he loves so much. But growing up every summer with her, he eventually has to watch her fall in love and pick up the pieces when her heart shatters. I love that Marcus is caring and his compassionate heart makes you fall for him fast! His tenacity for Hailey doesn't go unnoticed, and it's one of the things that makes him even sexier and mesmerizing as the years go by!

Cory just so happens to tag along with his college best-friend Jake one Thanksgiving when he's introduced to young Hailey. But it's not until she's older that you can see that the feelings he has for her run deeper than just friendship. And while Cory might be a ladies man, you can tell deep down that he is so much more- passionate, driven, and let's face it, he's hot!

The journey these three take together into adulthood is not without its ups and downs. Heart ache, upheaval, love, and happiness, all play factors when it comes down to one hard decision: Choice. Hailey has two men that love her and two men that she loves. Making that final decision isn't easy but in my heart of hearts, I believe that in the end, she chose perfectly. And it will keep you on your toes guessing who she chooses in the end!

Dawn Stanton wrote an amazing book with such down to earth characters. The journey we take with Hailey over the next eleven years of her life was like a breath of fresh air. A story that started with a simple crush and a first kiss, ended with love and perfection and forever.

This was the first novel from this author and the first in the Waiting Series. The authors’ writing is clear and concise, so it was easy enough to read and keep up with the storyline. Unfortunately it didn’t have enough depth to keep me turning the pages, and it was a book that I could easily put down.

The main characters in this book are Hailey (Hails), Marcus and Cory. There are many other characters, Jake (Hailey’s brother and Cory’s best friend) and Shelby (Hailey’s friend and one of the main characters from book 2).

The first 50% of the book was spent jumping from summer to summer starting when Hailey is 12, and describing her interactions with all the men involved in the story, Marcus, the eternal best friend, who is the same age as Hailey, Cory, the older brothers best friend, who is 8 years older, and Eric, the first boyfriend, who is a year older. I appreciate that the author was setting the scene for the latter part of the book, but I felt that too much time was spent repeating the same types of interactions.

The latter part of the book concentrates on the present time and the real love triangle part of the story, this part is easier to read as the characters are all older, and it’s easier to digest from a moral point of view! I did struggle to ‘connect’ with any of the characters, right up until the end due to their morals and weaknesses. As you would expect in a love triangle someone does get hurt, and at this point in the story, the man being hurt is the one that shows some strength and walks away from Hailey, and he’s the one that I was voting for to win her heart!

The sex scenes are few and far between and not overly explicit, some of the language that the characters used in the earlier part of the book didn’t sit too well, I just felt that with their age it didn’t sound right, maybe I am being over critical, but that is just my opinion. I think the book is probably intended for a young adult audience

Love Triangle
Best friends

Two choices and two outcomes – how will one woman choose when the possibilities are endless?

Cory Marshall –
I've been in love with him for almost half of my life. He's my older brother's best friend. He's a player, a notorious heartbreaker... and now he wants a shot at mine.
Marcus O'Connor –
He's been my best friend for as long as I can remember. He's loyal, he's compassionate...he's beautiful. How can I possibly choose between one man who could break my heart and another who might make it whole? Which one is the right choice for me... when I've fallen in love with both of them? (Amazon Blurb)
It’s always difficult choosing between your mind and your heart; too often they are of opposing opinions and rather than helping, they create more confusion and chaos. Do you listen to the rational brain who forces you to see reason or do you follow your heart that pulls you towards the one who raises your heartbeat and makes you catch your breath when they walk in the room? Hailey must make such a decision when two men become too important: which man will she choose? The man who’s been there since her childhood and has seen her firsts’ or the man that should be forbidden to her since he is her brother’s best friend with a reputation of being a heartbreaker – either man has burrowed their way into her heart and she has fallen in love with both but only one is made for her. Dawn Stanton brings to life a story about love and adulthood where the choices we make and the results that come from them moulds their future, and how the heart chooses not from who’s right, but on who makes you happiest. A beautiful story about love, choices and the unknown.

Not your typical three-person romance. This is the first book I've read from this author and I couldn't put it down. Hailey is has been in love with Cory since she met him when she was 11 years old. He's her big brother's best friend and knows nothing could come from her crush on him because of the age difference. Cory has been in love with Hailey but refuses to acknowledge it because of the age difference and he doesn't want to risk his friendship with Jake, Hailey's brother. Hailey has known Marcus her whole life. She feels a different kind of love with him but after Cory unexpectedly breaks her heart when she's 18, she takes comfort from Marcus. Fast forward 5 years and Hailey is now being mentored by Cory at her dads law firm. She refuses to acknowledge anything from him other than what she needs to learn. The fact that her body betrays her every time he's around she chooses to ignore. When Marcus has to leave for California to help his dad out, Hailey has a tough decision to make after agreeing to being friends with Cory again.

Hailey is confused and hurt and you can relate to her struggles and feelings but sometimes she can be so stubborn you want to smack her through your kindle. Marcus knows he loves Hailey and knows she will never love him the same way but he tries to persuade her to be more than just a friend with benefits. Cory is hot but not really alpha. But you fall in love with his kindness, his understanding nature and root for Hailey to figure out how she really feels before it's too late. 1-click this amazing read today, you won;t be disappointed!

I absolutely LOVED this book! The story takes place over 11 years and involves Hailey, her best friend Marcus and her brother's best friend Cory. Hailed has been in love with Cory from the moment he walked into her house with her big brother. She knows nothing will ever come of it but she still dreams of what it would be like to be with him. Marcus has been her best friend since forever. They spend their summers at the beach together and as they go through their teen years, they experience many firsts together. He is her rock---always there to support her and lift her up. And he has been in love with her all along. Unbeknownst to Hailey, Cory has fallen in love with her but doesn't act on it because of their age difference (8 years!) and the fact that he is her brother's best friend. When he finally gives in, he breaks Hailey's 18 year old heart and Marcus is there to pick up the pieces as always. When the book flashes forward 5 years, Hailey is interning at her father's law firm with Cory as her mentor. What happens when you face the one man that you have loved for the past 11 years who hurt you in the worst way? How does it play out when you are with another man who you love and has loved you his entire life? I wasn't sure which man to root for in this book because both seemed perfect for Hailey. I didn't want to see either of them hurt but she could only choose one man. In the end, she does what is right for her and she gets her HEA with the man she loves. I'm looking forward to the next book!

I Was Provided A ARC By The Author
(Possible Spoilers)

Hailey, Cory and Marcus's story spans over years. Hailey spends her summers with her family at their beach house. She spends the days surfing and enjoying the sun with her best friend Marcus. While crushing on her older brother's best friend. We get to see Hailey grow through out the chapters, you get to experience her adventures, heartaches, secrets and the discovery who she is. Boyfriends, school, and summers with her best friend.

A nice debut for author Dawn Stanton. I liked how we got to see Hailey age in each chapter. To see her first kiss, to her first boyfriend. Graduating, college and working. We get to see her struggle with feelings for her best friend and the guy who was always out of reach. We also get to the POV of Marcus and Cory. It was nice to read about their feelings and emotions. What was going through their head all these years with Hailey. I liked how Waiting For Us wasnt a typical love triangle book. You get different parts of Hailey, see where she was at when each realtionship started to blossom.

Great characters, and nice steady story-line, full of friendships, romance, and love.

"One small kiss from Cory Marshall and my life would never be the same."

Hailey met the man of her dreams one November. He was sweet, sexy, and driven. He was also her brother's best friend. She knew she never stood a chance with him, but crushed on him hard. Her best friend Marcus is the ever-steady friend. He has watched out for her and as they've matured, and seems to be falling for his friend. This is a story of uncertainties in relationships,

"I never want to give someone that much power over me again. I can't let myself be vulnerable. It's too devastating when it all goes south."

Told in first person points of view, Waiting For Us by Author Dawn Stanton was a story filled with relationship rights and wrongs, does and don'ts. When I first began read the synopsis for this book, I had my mind set on a certain male character being "the one". Then as the story progressed, I found that I liked something about each of these male characters. It made me a little upset that Hailey could not make a choice about them, and felt that it caused her to appear to be weak in character. By the end of the book, after wanting to strangle her for the same reason, I was happy with the outcome.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Waiting for Us is a coming of age story about Hailey and her love for two guys...her best friend Marcus and Cory, her older brother's best friend. The story begins when Hailey is only 12, but she ages with every chapter and we get to experience all of the important moments in her teen years. The second half of the book is dedicated to Hailey at age 23 and we can see what kind of adult she has become. I really love how strong she is and she's a good person. She's a heroine we can admire. She doesn't want to settle for a love that's less than everything she wants.
I don't want to give away any spoilers that may help you to figure out which guy she chooses in the end. I was happy with the outcome and I have to say, I wasn't sure which way it was going to go. Dawn did a great job of keeping me guessing until the last possible moment.
If you like hot alpha men, that talk dirty and are ridiculously sexy then you will love Waiting for Us because you get a double dose of hotness with Cory and Marcus.
This book reads like it was written by a seasoned author, not a first timer. I can't wait to see what Dawn has in store for us next.

Waiting for Us is an emotional and steamy romance featuring a girl (Hailey) coming to age from thirteen into her twenties. Hailey ends up in a love triangle between her older brothers best friend, Corey, and her own childhood best friend, Marcus. I want to say I had a difficult time rating this because it was AMAZING, the writing captured me and I read the entire thing in one sitting. That being said. I hate love triangles because I always get too emotionally invested and in my opinion she chose the wrong guy! One of these men loved her and was there for her in every way. The other one seemed mostly interested in sex. I ended up very annoyed with Hailey for the decisions she was making and how she was treating the guy who loved her so deeply. I actually threw my kindle when she chose who she did, I'm not sure how long it'll take before I can emotionally recover from this. Dawn Stanton is an amazing writer and I'd love to read anything else by her, as long as it's not a love triangle, because my poor heart simply can't take it.

This is one of those books that you can't decide who you want the girl with..... Hailey has a best friend Marcus.... Her brother Jake has a best friend that she has had a crush on forever ...Cory. Story ends in an HEA.. But I still want the one not chosen to have a HEA.

First time I have read from this author. She is very articulate and can definitely tell a great story. Where she lost me was with the characters. I could not stand Hailey at all. She has a crush on her older brothers best friend Cory at 12 years old. She never really gets over this crush even though she has a 2 year relationship with someone. Who eventually cheats on her. Through all of this she has her best friend Marcus. He has had feeling for her since he was 13 which she isn't aware of. He is with her through her relationship and she tells him everything. He knows about her crush on Cory. When something happens with him she makes sure that Marcus knows. Then to top it off she has sex with Marcus. They are separated for 4 years while they both go to college. Not that they don't see each other but they aren't in any kind of relationship. Now they are both back home and living together in a friends with benefits relationship. She tell him she loves him but she still can't get past her crush for Cory. I think she is two faced. She leads one guy on, lust after both of them. I so did not understand the scenes at the office. Really? he hold her against her will and tries kissing her, he makes her set on his lap when she is upset, and then when she calls him "sir" he spanks her????? This is going on in the office. I don't care if they have been friends for years this was totally unprofessional and it just didn't fit with the situation in the book. It was like the author was trying to bring in BDSM into a light romance. To me she chose the wrong guy but it was obvious that was the way the book would guy right from the beginning.
