Pulling Her Chain Part 1

Rate this book
Despite her earlier infatuation with her boss, the ever charming Anthony Deluca, Mia Knightley knew that he was not the man she wanted to be with after ordering flowers for the two women that he was seeing at the same time. Besides, another man entered her life shortly after, the loving and sweet Garrett Reed and life couldn't get any better, right?

Wrong.

While working alone with her boss one night, he began showing her affection and it ignited the deep rooted feeling within her. His words and touches were sweet seduction and she couldn't find it within her to push him away.

What if she had never truly gotten over her feelings for him? He's a player and all the red flags are showing but why does her 'no' feels like a 'yes'?

Anthony Deluca knew that wealth, a successful career and good looks can get him any woman he wants. Being an experienced player, woman is nothing more than a tool for quick pleasure and it didn't help that he was used to having them vying for his attention.

But Mia was different. Mia was...Mia. Was it her beauty that captivated him? The way her face would lit up with her smile or was it the way she avoided his gaze, pretending to be oblivious to his charm and attraction to her, he couldn't tell. The only thing he knew for sure was that, he wanted her and she's as good as his even if her boyfriend might have a thing or two to say about that.

Firstly, I am against cheating but I'll do my best to try to be objective because the sex scenes are so erotic! While staying back at the office, Anthony finally makes his move on his secretary and it leads to sexy scenes in his office and his apartment. This is meant to be a quick smutty read and it fulfills that requirement. The plot is simple which is suitable considering the short length of this book. This book is recommended if you want something short and quick. I've read the entire trilogy and I think it's definitely sexy!

That office scene is hands down my favorite, I reread it so many times! I finished the entire trilogy in one sitting and my hands are scrambling to keep up with the residual excitement. This book is heavy on the cheating theme and it resonates throughout the entire trilogy, so if you're alright with that, give this one a try!

Plot had potential. It was just hard to get into it with the mangled use of past/present/future tenses. It got so bad that I ended up shouting with laughter every 2 or 3 sentences.

An absolute train wreck that compelled me to continue just to see how bad the grammar could get.
