I've been reading spy, special ops and thrillers a long time. I ran across this one and I was hooked after reading only a few pages. The suspense is fine tuned and grows with every page but the thing that got my attention and held it is the depth of knowledge the J Russ Briley shows about the subject he has written. Best book I've read in many years.

One man Two votes is a spy thriller based on attempting to turn on internet/electronic voting, and the issues involved in such. It has a political theme to the book, and the players are well developed. It was an enjoyable read this past week during my travels.

I won this book from good reads giveaways. This was a fun book to read. The suspense was good and well written, it kept me interested throughout the entire book.

This a well-written suspenseful book. The plot kept you reading. However, the concept of the book (One Person One Vote) was never explained to where it could be considered realistic; it just dangled out there as if the reader was just supposed to accept it (even though unrealistic) without question. For my tastes, a political thriller should have some possibility that it may happen (or be happening).

The characters were underdeveloped. I could never really "see" them in my mind's eye, and quite frankly, there were too many characters to keep track. At the end, it is revealed that certain characters will re-appear in coming books, but I never felt any chemistry between those characters, so I was surprised at that revelation.

In summary, I liked the rhythm and pace of the book, and would be interested if subsequent novels eliminated the perceived weaknesses.

I'm always looking for new authors. This one is a new thriller about a political conspiracy to steal our votes. Based in Washington DC, it seems timely with all the mess going on in the election and I love how it opens. It reminds me of the old Clancy books but updated with more action and a touch of sex to keep things interesting. Lots of twists too. It has great reviews on Amazon.

I hear that book two in the series is set to realease the summer of 2016 and can't wait to read it. The main characters, Robert Carlton and Grady Barlow, are awesome. Different from each other, they are both guys I want to see more of.

Robert Carlton is my new man.

In the spirit of Dirk Pitt, Juan Cabrillo, and Kurt Austin, I really like Robert Carlton(and love Grady Barlow). One Man Two Votes kept me engaged and eager to learn the outcome. When I was certain I knew what was happening, Briley tossed me a curve. The book doesn't let you down, nor does it drag on. I was very pleased and can not wait for Book 2!

A friend recommended this--so glad I read it! It was a wild, exciting ride into a complex conspiracy, with twists and turns that kept me guessing. Loved it--reminded me of Clancy, with some Baldacci and Grisham thrown in. I can't wait for the next one by this author.

A fantastic thriller reminiscent of Robert Ludlum. As the story unfolds, the tension cranks up and the pages keep turning. I can't wait for the second installment of the series!
