Good story

This was a good story and I liked the characters but it all came together in a little bit of a rushed feeling.

I love this cozy series and Live and Lime Die is, by far, my favorite. I'm very disappointed that this will be the last chapter in the lives of Marilyn and her daughter, Tiara. Marilyn is the owner of SubLime Sweets, a successful bakery and local favorite in Key West and Tiara has been managing the shop while waiting for the perfect job offer. Marilyn and Tiara, once again, are drawn into danger and intrigue when the spoiled daughter of a wealthy yacht owner walks into the shop to purchase Key Lime pies. An ex-flame of Tiara's, who works on the yacht, wants her back and will go to extremes to make that happen. Luckily, Tim, Marilyn's creepy neighbor, comes to Tiara's rescue and imparts some justice of his own. I love that the relationship between Marilyn and Detective Cortland ("Cort") is blossoming. I've very much enjoyed getting to know these strong and independent women who know that the other has their back at all times. It's a fabulous mother-daughter relationship. Now that the series is over, I may have to drown my sorrow in some pie.

I was given a copy of this book for review by the author. I had been reading this cozy mystery series before I was lucky enough to get to review them. This is by far the best in the series! Sublime Sweets is back again only we don't get to see much of it this time. Although all of the regulars are back, Tiara and Marilyn have non stop excitement away from the bakery. Kelcie isn't around much for the excitement which she is probably very happy about. Marilyn and Cort are having fun dating while Tiara's past dating life comes back to haunt her and surprisingly is tangled with Cort's past. Tim, the creepy former mortician plays a major part again and I love that we get to see his humourous side. He has turned out to become entertaining and likable. This 8th book is a real page turner and I couldn't put it down.

Very short

I had issues with the first 4 books in this series. Books 5-7 were much improved, I enjoyed 7 very much. This book did not compare. Extremely short, the time line seemed off, first Marilyn was very sick with the flu, next she was back to baking her pies, then the old boyfriend of Tiara returns, and I don't remember any previous mention if him.
Then Tim, the odd neighbor does something horrible, even if it was in order to save Tiara, and gets arrested but then let go??!!
Too unbelievable, unfortunately I'm done with this series.

Read out of order. Good stand alone

I read book 8 without reading the other. It is a good book, but is more a short story than book. This works fine a a stand alone book even though it is book 8 in the series. Good clean Key West mystery. It took me less than 1 hour to read, but as it is a very rainy day here in the Florida Keys it was a great story to turn to. If you need a light pleasant fast read give this book a try.

This is a series I have enjoyed reading and every book was better than the one before. Lots of twists and turns in this last book
" Live and Lime Die". The characters feel like my friends both frustrating and lovable. I will miss them. If you have a couple of hours to get lost in an enjoyable book then this is the series for you.

I couldn't believe that this was the last book in this series! Wahhhhhhh! Just when it was really getting food, the author decides to pull the plug and do something different. I'm really sad to see this series end, but at lest it ends on a high note with another great mystery solved and lots more Key Lime Pie!

Life seems to be treating Marilyn well but it will quickly turn on her. Her past might end up destroying everything she has worked hard for in a blink of an eye.

This is the final book in the series and you will get the usual cozy twists that you expect from the author. A fun read to devour.

More crime, less time (in the bake shop)

This addition to the series focused less on the shop and more on crime. Although a bit disjointed at times it was still a fun reread that left me wanting more.

The last bite of pie is always sweetest

Loved this series and I am sorry it's over. I loved the new mystery in each book and the growing romance. I would love to see more books like this. They are quick reads but they are filled with fun.

I hate that this is the last book

I really liked this series. The injection of Tim Eckols from Ms Prescott’s book series helped to ties two totally different series together for me. Great series. Maybe a new SubLime shop in California?

I've had the best time revisiting this series. This book is my favorite. The characters were developed so well and the storyline was fun. And as always Tim makes the book delightful!

Action packed to the end. I am sorry to see this series end but at least there was a wrap up to the series. Love the characters and setting. The story always kept you guessing to the end. Well written and as always a great read.

Like the other books in the series this is a quick read. It’s also the last book in the series and I like how the author wrapped things up.

Just amazing

So sad to see the series end. But it was very good. Loved that Tim is now working in the shop. And Marilyn was amazing at saving her daughter.
