TAY: The Taylor Swift Story

Rate this book
Taylor marched up to the woman behind the front desk and went into gear. "Hi! I'm Taylor Swift! I'm eleven and I want a record deal!" She handed the woman her CD. "Call me!" she said and flashed her a cheery smile. "She thought I was cute," Taylor said when she was back in the car. "The usual Go away and come back when you're eighteen." Taylor stared out the side window as her mother drove slowly down Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. As they passed by the famous Bluebird Cafe, she said, "Someday I'm going to sing here."

I love Taylor Swift, but honestly some of the things written got me questioning if it was real or fictional 😭 like idk if it actually happened, cause how did they remember all that in such detail?

is this even real? 💀💀 ashdfaksdfj some things sounded too weird, or fake idk, but this is my first audiobook, found it on spotify, anyways, yes.

esto es si quiera real? 💀💀 ashdfaksdfj algunas cosas sonaban muy fumadas, o falsas no sé, pero este es mi primer audiolibro, lo encontré en spotify, pero sí.

This book should be categorized as middle school reading.
But frankly, this book was very difficult to get through and a bore. I listened to it on spotify. Reading the book would have been much better than listening.

This was really cute, whether everything was true or not. I have trouble beleiving that everything is true when it isn’t directly affilanted with Taylor, but I loved this book nonetheless. It was very cute and I did find out some new facts that I didn’t know before I. I also flew through it in less than 24 hours. I would reccomend for any other Swiftites!

All about the humble beginning story of Tay (Taylor Swift) from her childhood dream to actually achieving it. She really knows what she wants. Since being kid, she’s already a genius and knows what she’s doing. It is the unfortunate of the producers who did not see her potential as Tay see in herself. The level of confidence of a 12 year old kid making demo of LeAnn Rimes is over the top. She knows what she wants to do and I envy her.

Didn’t know that Taylor’s music was country (not all pop songs) and she is a crazy big fan of LeAnn Rimes. She tried to follow the path of LeAnn Rimes where she started her career at 12 y/o but Taylor has different path - every one of us have unique path. Taylor is working for Sony composing songs but they didn’t let her release her album. That’s why she backed out. She sang on the same place that LeAnn Rimes used to sing. This is where the former employee of Sony Producers saw her real potential and asked Taylor to be his first artisit but she needs to wait because Scott (the producer) will start a business named Big Machine Producers. Taylor saw that they have the same goal and she agreed. Later that year 2006, she showed him her demo of Tim McGraw and he cried after hearing it. This is the first single of Taylor that they popularized and it hit the billboard charts and everything. Then, she released a full abum of ‘Taylor Swift’ that officiall started her career at the age of 16 y/o.

The story ended when Taylor and her best friend Abigail went to PROM with their dates. She describes the whole experience as her popular song “Today is a Fairy Tale.”

This is an audiobooks from Spotify that I found. I am looking for ebook but nada. Idk if it’s legit book from Taylor but wth, it’s about Taylor.

Why I love Taylor? Well, at first I liked her because she’s beautiful teenage girl with famous song. In a nutshell, I am one of those following the bandwagon. After watching her documentary of Netflix showing all her vulnerabilities and how she was bullied by Kanye West, I saw the real Taylor Swift. She is a human after all and that’s when I genuinely followed her songs and even interpreted the lyrics. She is great story teller and music genius. Now that I learned her biography before being THE TAYLOR SWIFT, I loved her all more. She cared for her fans and she’s a good person with golden voice and critical mind to come up with her songs. I love you, Tay🥺

I do like Taylor Swift; but unfortunately, even Taylor Swift herself wouldn't rate this book more than 3 stars ( and at least 2 of that 3 stars would be because of her admiration of writer's admiration for her; at least as someone who loves to play scrabble, says her favorite lesson was english in high school, has written 2 lyrically acclaimed albums in pandemic about a whole universe that she created in her head ). It's easier to understand about writer's perspective when you realize it's published in 2013. Probably It's just a bunch of tumblr infos written as a book, and the author was a tumblr fan girl. I'm sure that the author has developed a lot on writing after this book. It would be unfair and disrespectful to judge someone, especially a writer based on one book -which is actually not so bad for a media targeted book in print at the time. It was probably harder to find a biography of Taylor Swift, she was popular too and teens were more interested in pop/rock stars & super models instead of influencers. It pictures her "good girl" image in 2010's in a media manipulative way, which is clearly aimed at teens; might be even sold out- Still it's probably only popular because it's Taylor Swift. It's not 2013 anymore and you definitely can find more reliable & professional sources about how she learned to play guitar and much more than that. It's a book which is probably focused on selling something for fan groups in 2013. There are inspirational parts too; but it's because these inspirational things happened to Taylor Swift, not because It's a well toned biography book. I don't even think It's an actual biography tbh. If I'd have to say something good beside everything; mentions of Taylor Swift's friend high school friend Abigail, Bluebird Cafe & her grandmother Majorie are the parts that I remember that would be worthy.

TAYLOR SWIFT IS AWESOME: I've become a life long fan by reading this biography...

I came across this book by accident while searching for something new read to on my Kindle reader. As soon as I spotted the cover and Tay's beautiful smile. I automatically knew this would be my next book to read. Being a disabled Vietnam veteran and retiring from my local telephone company after 42 years of climbing telephones... I enjoy reading new books everyday... especially Taylor's biography melted my heart. By the way I was born in Little Rock,Arkansas in 1948... and I'm love all kinds of music, especially Country Music. <3

This is a young adult easy read book, which was published in 2015, so is not current for today. It was interesting to me since to read about her as a child and how she always wanted to sing. She did not get any interest the first time she went to Nashville, but found that she should be unique and write her own songs. Her parents eventually moved to Nashville from Pennsylvania so she could pursue her dreams.

I wasn’t expecting to like this book, since I’m usually not into biographies, but this one was pretty interesting. I’m a huge Swiftie and it was fun to see Taylor’s childhood. It’s a very short read but it was hard to convince myself to read it. When I did though, it was good.

There are Kim Jong Un biographies that are less propagandized than this, but still a decent overview of Tay's come up and how she got her first record deals.

Et must-have for alle Taylor Swift-fans.
