William R. Bright was an American evangelist. In 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles, he founded Campus Crusade for Christ as a ministry for university students. In 1952 he wrote The Four Spiritual Laws. In 1979 he produced the film Jesus. In 1996 Bill Bright was awarded the $1.1 million Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, and donated the money to promote the spiritual benefits of fasting and prayer. In 2001 he stepped down as leader of the organization and Steve Douglass became president.
100 % inspiring and uplifting because Bright made me cry!
This book goes into detail about the Holy Spirit and how every Christian can resist the enemy in thought and action. The twelve chapters not only moved me but it also reminded me of the greater purpose we are all living for–to live a life loving and serving God. And by no means am I (or any other Christian) perfect once we surrender ourselves to Him. We feel temptation, anger, laziness, etc every minute of every day. But we must remember to yield our lives to God, inviting Christ to be on the throne of our lives (instead of the flesh) every moment in our walk with the Lord. Doing so, we will receive power to live His way and be filled with love and joy and of course, all of the fruits of the spirit!
Now THAT is the secret of a life of purpose and power.
"Бог нас создал со свободой выбора, и мы можем выбирать, подчиняться или не подчиняться Ему. Он хочет, чтобы мы повиновались Ему по своему выбору, а не по принуждению. Таким образом, если мы подчинимся Ему, Он поведет нас. Если мы решим согрешить, Он нам позволить это".
"Если вы чувствуете себя вдали от Бога, как вы думаете, кто отодвинулся?"
