When wedding planner Tyler Warren realized she was in love with her best friend Cabe, she thought surely he was The One. Tyler couldn’t wait to live out their fairy tale, but she was about to discover a lot can happen between Once Upon A Time and Happily Ever After. Sometimes modern-day princes have inner dragons to battle, and when issues from Cabe’s past threaten to end their relationship before it really begins, Tyler starts to question whether their love story is real. But the biggest test for Cabe and Tyler may be the arrival of a handsome new prince, ready to step in and steal her heart forever. This second volume in the Tales Behind the Veils series picks up where Diary of a Single Wedding Planner ended, but Tyler’s personal drama dampens her enthusiasm for her crazy wedding clients. As she travels down the sometimes treacherous path of romance, Tyler finds that being a wedding planner in love isn’t always the easiest job to have!

Diary of a Wedding Planner in love is written by Violet Howe. The second book is just as good as the first if not better. There were so many moments in this book that had me laughing and crying at the same time. There was time that I wish I could go into the book and take some sense into Tyler. I absolutly loved this whole series and would recommend any book by Violet Howe as I have never been disappointed in any of her books that I have read so far. I cant wait to dive into the third book
Diary of a Wedding Planner in Love (Tales Behind the Veils, #2) - R Violence: none Language: fewer than 165 Sex: descriptive kissing, heavy-duty making out, but no details. State of genitals alluded to as a sexual attraction barometer (UGH). There is sex about a third of the way in.
I just adore Tyler and Cabe. I loved all the humor and the all the drama. (Parts of this book Wore Me Out, y'all!) It made the ending that much sweeter. I do not adore their detailed sexual exploits, regardless of how long I've anticipated them becoming a couple. I was surprised, based on book one, that there were descriptions at all. Boo for that.
This whole series made me laugh out loud a bunch of times. The main character was a bit of a mess at most times but it made her likeable and relatable. Definitely a fun read if you're looking for something light and funny.
This book is absolutely phenomenal. It will have you doubled over in laughter one moment and sitting with tears running down your face the next. This book made my heart smile, pulled it out stomped all over it and then righted it all and made my heart smile again.... sounds like love, right???? This book is so unbelievably relatable.
Violet Howe writes relatable characters, characters you want to be friends with! I want Tyler as a BFF.
This book reminded me of that excitingly terrifying moment when I believed I found The One. There was inner dialogue, there was self-doubt, there was inexplicable stress over things like “is he rejecting our _______” when they comment about not wanting or liking something you might be interested in! There is of course a lot more going on in Cabe and Tyler’s story and it is a rollercoaster ride indeed. Then there is also the absolute hilarity of the wedding planning side of things, not as much as book one but it is there and it is funny!
You want to read this book... carve out some time because you won’t want to walk away!!
I think I enjoyed this book more than the second one. I learned a lot more about the struggles Tyler and Cabe were facing. At times I wanted to knock them both on the head. But wow, thee was realism in this book. Great characters. Great supporting characters. A great read.
I love Tyler, Howe writes her with a strong voice. The end seemed ridiculously sudden, but honestly I will absoutely forgive giant dumb gestures in a good rom-com read.
"Diary of a Wedding Planner in Love" is book two in the "Tales Behind the Veils" series by Violet Howe. Tyler and Cabe are slowly moving out of the friend zone. Tyler is trying to balance work and her personal life. While Cabe is focusing on trying to be a better person and in the process, he keeps pushing Ty away. My favorite part is watching Ty become a stronger and opinionated woman. She would always kind of go with pleasing people, but she realizes that she needs to stand up for herself. This was a great addition to this series, and I look forward to reading on to book three to see what will happen next with Tyler.
I am invested and a going to finish this book series, not including the book about Cabe's mother, cause I don't see the point in that, but oh boy, I am going to hurt myself rolling my eyes so hard at the juvenile antics of Tyler! She is a young woman, but she acts as if she is 16, not 26. Overall, she is very naive and immature, which is hard to understand considering all she is exposed to in her job. There are also odd things in this book that seem out of place. In the whole lead up to her trip to Paris, Tyler kept going on and on about how she doesn't speak French so how could she survive there? Why wouldn't she know that much of the world speaks English and also, why not try to learn a few French words and phrases? Surely she watches TV, movies and with all the people she knows and the fact that she would come in contact with people who travel, so why would she hold such an ignorant belief? Couldn't the author have come up with a better way for Cabe to find out about Jack than to see the PRINTED PICTURES OF TYLER'S TRIP?? This book was published in 2015; unless they were a professional photographer or artist, there is no way on earth a 26-yr-old was taking pictures with a camera, let alone a camera requiring film! A woman of her age would have used her phone and every photo would have automatically uploaded to her social media, which is how Cabe would have found out about her and Jack, even before she set foot back in Florida. Don't get me started on the entire fiasco that was that trip. Having Cabe storm away from the gate and then claim to have been unable to get back after harassing TSA....WHAT??!!?? Again, this is terrible writing. If you are going to have a character act like a child throwing a tantrum, go all in on it and don't try to redeem him by saying "I tried, I tried" over and over again when he clearly didn't. Lets think this through, just a bit. If my husband had any issue whatsoever getting to me while were in the airport, waiting to take off, to the point where his name was being announced over the PA, I am sure he would let them know he was traveling with his wife, so I could be notified. Cabe didn't think to tell anyone that he had a travel companion who would be looking for him??!!??
It is clear that we are supposed to root for Tyler and Cabe, but it is very difficult to do so. Cabe is so unlikeable, there is absolutely nothing redeeming about him. His story is that when he met Tyler when they were teens he instantly fell in love with her, but never, ever, ever, ever told her the truth. Sure, there was the complication of her old boyfriend, but once that relationship was over Cabe never said anything. He and Tyler both consider each other their best friend who can share everything with each other, but not their true feelings??!?? Not once, ever, in all the years they have known each other when they saw each other every day??!!?? NONSENSE!! That is not romantic, that is not endearing or sad or anything other than PATHETIC! Then, Cabe met Monica when he realized he couldn't have Tyler (even though he never tried to get Tyler) but when he was given the ultimatum by Monica to move with her to Seattle or break up, he went to Tyler to try to tell her how he felt about her, but rather than coming out and telling her, he beat around the bush so much that Tyler was confused and didn't understand what he was trying to say (imagine that) but when she told him to go be with Monica, since that is who she thought Cabe was expressing his love for, he HE DIDN'T CORRECT HER!! He left the woman he claimed to love more than life itself to be with someone else, rather than correct Tyler and tell her, no dummy, I am in love with YOU not HER! This foolishness went on for years and now, now we are supposed to be sappy and happy for these two? I am irritated if this is what a love story is supposed to look like. I would be so happy if they end up not getting married because they are truly terrible people when they are together, but something tells me the third book is going to end with their wedding, rather than their break-up, as it should. Why read this then? I was attracted to the first book because it centered on a wedding planner and in another life, I would have done that for a living. The funny stories Tyler tells about the brides and their family members are the best part of the books, I just wish there were more of them and less of the disappointing love story.

What a great book! The ups and downs of Tyler and Cabe's relationship will have you in knots at times! Be sure to have some tissues ready when you read this. So many emotions felt from the characters that you feel like you're there with them! Sometimes yelling and other times laughing. I have to say that when Jack was introduced, I liked him but felt he kind of moved a bit fast. I do wonder though if he will make another appearance in a later book. Guess well have to see.
Cabe and Tyler..soo many times I wanted to yell at the characters and have them do the right thing. Some people were against them and others were for them. When you think they have it figured out something happens that puts a wrench in their relationship.
This book is a must read..just be ready for the roller coaster of emotions!!
When I read the first book in the series I connected with Tyler because she is broken but strong, bent by circumstance but still independent and somewhat sure of herself. This book further concreted my connection and made me feel just as much as Tyler did. I cried with her, like seriously big tears on a plane. I laughed and felt the pain she did. There is a lot of space between once upon a time and happily ever after and violet Howe makes sure that you experience it right along with the characters.
I even wrote the author and told her how I cried and she said “sorry not sorry”. It was like she knew this book would be painful but it was necessary to feel the joy.
I could not put this book down. Such a great sappy romantic read. I connected with Tyler on so many levels to the point where when they were both in her apartment I was litterally yelping outloud, I felt like it was happening to me. The characters are loveable, personable and you want to know what happens next. I feel like the story line of his sister bringing up long lost family members was a little far fetched, but beyond that I loved it. The entries revolving around her job were getting fewer between towards the end of the book, but I was okay with that. I wanted to know what happened between her and Cabe.

Tyler and Cabe are back from Diary of a Single Wedding Planner with the continuation of their story. I definitely recommend you read book 1 first or you will be lost. Tyler has finally realized her feelings for Cabe are more than just friends and the two embark on a relationship. Being with someone as damaged as Cabe though can be very hard and Tyler finds out through the story just how damaged Cabe really is. To me this book is deeper than book one, though there are still definitely laugh out loud parts. I love this series and can’t wait to read all about their wedding in Diary of an Engaged Wedding Planner!! By the way, I couldn't put this book down and read it in a day!!
Although I found both the main characters irritating at times, I still am interested in their relationship and will go on to read the next in the series. I was surprised to see how hard they made it on themselves because the first in the series seemed to end with them going forward to their happy ever after, but no, there was still angst to come. One of the more entertaining parts of this series is the crazy wedding stories which go on in the heroine professional life. In summary, this was a fun, quick read with little substance behind it.
Quite realistic. But unfortunately, I don't read romance novels expecting a realistic approach. It's my happy escape and I don't like too much realism in it. I mean, I'm not saying I expect romance novels to be completely unrealistic, a little bit of realism is always appreciated. But not like the way it was in this book. I liked the concept of "real men having real issues", but as I said, I don't want the lead guy to be a "real man", because the whole point of reading a fictional book is that it's fiction, not real. I'm done with this book. Let's take a break from reality now, shall we?
Arrgghh, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler! What should we do with you, you silly girl! You finally realized the love of your life! Will, Tyler let a new Beau step in and rip her and Cabe apart? Or will she finally finally know that they are soulmates?
I loved this book even more than the first! Only because, you start seeing the more "human" side of Ty and Cabe. You see them more together and see the easiness between them. You see the family dynamics for the first time that has shaped them as children and teenagers.
Ty and Cabe have been best friends for five years, but Ty never realized that Cabe had been in love with her the whole time. I liked that these were real people with real issues. Every thing was from Ty’s point of view as she wrote in her diary and there were plenty of times she irritated me, but that’s what it is like in a relationship. She may have seemed self centered at times and Cabe definitely had issues to work through, but it was the way they worked through those issues that made the book so good.
3.5/5. Not quite as good as the first book, the first book was much more relaxed and the characters were more likable. This time around Cabe and Ty are stressed out so much it's a wonder they didn't kill anyone. I'm glad things turned out like it did but considering all the angst I'm wondering if it's actually worth it. Plan to keep reading the series and see if the next book puts things back on track to a four star rating.
A very nice follow up to Diary of a Single Wedding Planner. Tyler and Cabe seem to finally be on the same page and things should be moving forward. Unfortunately, life, family and adversity seem to be getting in the way of their happily ever after. It seems that even though Cabe and Tyler are finally together, things may not be working out for them. This is a wonderful story of growing up and facing your fears. Looking forward to the next story!
OMG Violet Howe is awesome writer. . Loved how described the wonderful Paris trip (fight included, the heart aches, the awesome self empowerment Ty found and not to forget Cab's scavenger hunt. Lots of laughing, cryong, and breath holding. Can't wait to read part 3......

I loved the very funny stories about planning weddings, but I think Tyler was fickle, anxious and neurotic. She goes from being just friends to obsessively in love at the flip of a switch. Did enjoy the conversations between Tyler and her mom, very amusing.
This book frustrated me. I really liked the first in the series but this one. I don't know. The whiny, can't make a decision characters just really annoyed me. I did not like Tyler with Cabe. They were not a great match.
Great just great! So much drama, so much mess and misunderstandings leading to disasters when you don't talk things through. There were a lot of moments I've been shouting to the both main characters Tyler and Cabe and wanted really punch them or slap their faces at the very least. Anyway, it was such an amazing story nevertheless and all the mess they went through only made the ending even sweeter and ... no, you go and find out yourselves what's all about this, right? I can only say that I absolutely loved it!
Title: Diary of a Wedding Planner in Love Author: Violet Howe Series: (if any) Tales Behind the Veils book 2 Rating:3/5 stars Format: Ebook
Why'd you pick this book? I read the first on, and go it on sale, so I wanted to continue with Tyler

Favorite and Least Favorite part: I think its kind of universal on my thoughts for this series, but Tyler is kind of ridiculous. She ran from home because of a guy. Also it didn’t focus on much of her wedding planning. It was there, but there was a lot more life drama then wedding drama. I dunno
If you like this book you might like: Check out the Selection by Keira Cass, its just a fantastic series
I loved this story. I think Tyler and Cabe are both a hot mess most of the time and Tyler definitely is self absorbed, but that imperfection is what makes this such an infectious love story. The barriers that get in their way are self doubt and insecurities, not some arbitrary ridiculous event that are evident as a literary tool to draw the story out. I feel like I am part of a true love story the way it really unfolds and Tyler and Cabe puzzle out their thoughts and emotions. Well written and I can't wait to continue the story in the next book.
This book was heartbreaking and swoon-worthy. I felt the pain and confusion she experienced; I thought the difficulty and communication issues that Cabe and Tyler experienced were brilliant and authentic. I laughed a lot and got upset at the difficulties their relationship went through. It was a satisfying ending, but I can't wait to read the next book.
Love Love Love The "Diary" Cannot wait to see what happens next! I don't even see how someone could read "Diary of a single wedding planner" or "Diary of a single wedding planning in love" and not ABSOLUTELY love it! If you are looking for a really great read.... GET THESE TWO BOOKS!!!!
