Children follow by example, this is something that we have found out from years of experience. What we didn't realize as we were living our lives is that they pick up the good along with the not so good habits. What we have to try to figure out is how to break the not so good habits, if we even want to or if we even can.
Gwenna Winters was not the easiest person to get along with or to love for that matter but she is family so you don't give up on them. The thing that Gwenna doesn't realize is that by keeping secrets they always catch up with you and when they do someone almost always gets hurt in the process. Is this a concern for Gwenna or does she only care about her happiness and how she will get her next piece of happiness?
Chayse Winters doesn't ask for much, just to be shown some attention and that she is loved. Growing up she didn't get much of that from her mother Gwenna but she did learn some things from her. Chayse learned how to get what she wanted from people without offering much effort of giving anything back in return. Is that a life that a young woman should strive for or should she try to do better because she lacked the proper training?
Lifestyles Of A Rich Mistress is a very interesting read. The story gives you examples of life and how lifestyles go when you follow a pattern or history. It is dramatic and has many times where you are talking to the characters about what you would or should do. I love books like this, interactive novels and I loved this read. I look forward to reading more from Akilam in the future.

This book captured me from start to finish. Omg I cannot wait until part 2. I know what I think happened at the end can't be true. (I didn't want to spoil the ending lol)

The life
This was a good read by this author. It wasn't as juicy as her previous reads, however, it kept my attention. There were a few errors that through me off, but nonetheless the storyline was good. I didn't expect for it to end the way it did, I'm looking forward to the sequel.
