Mira James is on a mission to smack her sister senseless. Recently, her life had come crashing down around her and she needed her sister. But contacting her was getting harder and harder to do. It hurt. Her best friend was barely in her life anymore and Mira was done with giving her space. All that was separating them now was a giant man with a smirking grin. The brute was going to get his ass handed to him if kept Mira from her sister.

Owen Purcell was the Adirondack Pack alpha and had just met his match. Sadie’s younger sister was a sassy little thing and he couldn’t help but smile around the Rabbit. It may not be the wisest thing he’s ever done but there was chemistry between them that couldn’t be ignored. Getting her on board may not be the hard part, but keeping her around would be.

Canidae has upped their antics and plan to hurt Owen where he feels it most. He’ll need to protect those in his pack and the little Rabbit that has found herself in the wolf’s den.

It's no secret that I really enjoy the books that K.C. Stewart writes, so it should come as no surprise that I enjoyed this book. It is the second book in the series and while I definitely enjoyed the first one a bit more, I found myself excitedly turning the pages.

With great characters, a climactic storyline, and phenomenal paranormal elements; this series is a definite must read for all of us who enjoy the genre.

Fault Lines (Adirondack Pack #2) by K.C. Stewart Miranda James travels to Adirondack to confront her sister, Sadie, for avoiding her calls. She is headed off by the Adirondack Pack alpha, Owen Purcell. There is no denying their chemistry.

I have been anxious to read Mira’s and James’ story ever since reading its excerpt at the end of Book one, Too Far Gone. I loved Sadie and Tyson, so who better to read about then Sadie’s sister and Tyson’s best friend.

Mira is a fun heroine. She is feisty. She challenges Owen. Owen is a great Alpha and protector. I love his nickname, Rabbit, for Mira. They are an unlikely, yet fascinating couple.

I enjoyed the scenes with some of the secondary characters. I really like Zack. His gaming with Mira is entertaining and nostalgic. He also has some creative name-calling. There are some interesting petty-ex-girlfriend scenes with Lee. Then there is the conniving, Mitch.

There is a lot going on in the story. Canidae has still not given up and as always provides conspiracy and drama. Fault Lines is a well-written and fast-paced novel. I love the Adirondack Pack Series. I cannot wait for Lee and Vince's story.

I really liked this book, despite Sadie's bitchiness in the first part of the story. That really surprised me. While she has redeemed herself in her sister's eyes. I was really skeptical about her.

Owen, while hot and with just the right amount of possessiveness that I liked, really disappointed me.

This book is great with lots of emotions. So good to read Mira and Owen's story. Owen deserves to be happy and he and Mira are great together. Also great to see Tyson and Sadie getting along so well, it is always nice to revisit some old friends. Still can't decide if I hate Lee or want her to find her perfect mate so she can be happy.

Ok, I need a minute to compose myself after reading this one. I have decided that Ms Stewart wants to break my heart. LOL I seriously love this series. Hell I seriously love this author. She is freaking flawless, and everything she writes is magnificent! I am such a huge werewolf fan, not to mention dragons as my second fave, and she has aced them both. Her Hailey Halloway series always has me caught in a tizzy, but this, this series right here... There's not many words to say how seductive it has become. Yep, I'm going with seductive, because you will be seduced, and you won't be able to let go, and you'll be a life long addict like me. Ms K, you better keep writing!! :) So, let's talk for real. We met our lovely Tyson and Sophie in book one. We also got to know Owen a little in there. Well this is Owen's story and it's about to get real. As Alpha, he always seems so business-ish. Everything is so series, except with Tyson. And now, I think he made me giggle so many times, and if I thought I swooned for Tyson, nope- Owen wins, hands down. Good lord than man is some kinda goodness. And Sophie's sister, HA, she's a hot mess, be boy is she hilarious. Her obesession with self destruction and video games to boot had me cracking up, and her mouth, she is going to get into serious trouble one day.

So, Owen is the Alpha. He's actually Sophie's alpha, but not Tyson's... it's complicated LOL He's got a lot going on. And when Sophie's sister shows up, pissed, and pretty much pushed out the door, Owen can't let her go. He has been so broken over Tyson leaving, Jenny's loss, and Lee's... drama yeah I'll call it drama... that he had forgotten he's got a human side too. He's gone a little over the top with keeping things all to himself and dealing only with the pack. Well, now, Mira is like a tornado that just freaking bull dozed her way into his life, and came from behind like a category 5 hurricane to flood the rest. HEHE if you only knew how funny this is to describe it that way, but it's still true. So, while Owen tries to keep the pack safe, his town in order, his vet business together, and figure out a way to keep Mira, there's a bad guy or two plotting against them all.

Mira has some explaining to do, but instead, she wants many explanations from Sophie. And she's not getting them so she'll raise some hell in the mean time. She has no reservations about telling anyone and everyone exactly the truth. Even if it really hurts. Hell, if she's hurting, pissed, sad, angry, so should the world. She's a little selfish at times because she really has no idea the secrets Sophie is keeping, which is to protect her, but she never stops to think about it. She's too mad about the betrayal of her ex lover and wants others to feel it too. Until she has a trama that might make her speechless for once.

The writing is abosolutely brilliant. I won't lie, this has become one of THE BEST werewolf series I've ever read. Um, her dragons are fantastic too. The author weaves her way into your heart with her characters, but it's not flimsy like a spider web, it's like concrete and they will be there for life. I am still sorry for Tyson and his sister, I am still freaked out for Sophie, and now, I will seriously think hard about the heart break Owen and Mira went through. Oh, and before I forget, there's some lovely side characters, like Cobie, and Zack, and I have a feeling Lee is coming up with the next book with Mr Hottie McHottie, I can't remember his name at the moment. :) Zack literally made me spit out liquid and almost drown in my drink with laughter. I wanna know where Ms K comes up with those names, because if they come from her characters, they come from her. And I know I should say something about the bad guys, but there's just too many good things to say about the good guys :) ok, enough, I can't spoil everything. I'm thinking I need to harrass someone about getting book 3, like maybe tomorrow LOL a brilliant beautiful magnificent 5 WOLFY PAWS!!!

INCREDIBLE!

FAULT LINES-BOOK 2-A captivating story filled with suspense and romance. I adore series, you get acquainted with all the awesome characters, and the characters in this series, are sexy, powerful, passionate, and full of surprises.

This story features Owen, a strapping, charismatic Alpha of the Adirondack Pack and is crazy for Mira, a sultry, curvaceous, sassy green-eyed beautiful human.

What you'll find in this story; a cast of awesome impressive and engaging characters, fabulous story-line, powerful and picturesque scene descriptions, horrific danger, gripping suspense, heart-wrenching moments, family issues, camaraderie, kidnapping, jealousy, superb banter, emotions spiral, heated passion, and a heroic deed.

Mira goes to the Adirondack's to settle a score with her sister Sadie, but her visit catapults her into a whole new world.

INCREDIBLE well written fast paced read by a truly gifted creative author. I relished this story; exhilarating and most gratifying read. All the characters are convincing and certainly praise-worthy. Mira's audacious persona kept Owen on his toes, and Owen's unwavering devotion for Mira shines like a beacon. I eagerly await to read the next story in the captivating series. If you treasure shifter romance with intrigue and suspense this book is an excellent choice for your library. {I received a copy of this book for a completely honest review}. In the world of shifter fantasy the possibilities are endless but always fascinating. Without reservations I highly recommend this book and the series.

Mira is not afraid to stick up for herself and is usually pretty confident. She has had some troubles and is feeling down. She really misses her sister who has ignored her attempts at contact. She finally decides to go ahead and track her down in person.

She doesn't expect her sister to act like she doesn't want anything to do with her. The only one who seems to want her around is Owen. Owen, unbeknownst to her, is the Alpha of the pack that her sister has recently joined. Owen wants her and is on the hunt. He is finally free from his breakup with another member of the pack and Mira is exactly what he wants.

It is not easy for either of them with secrets and other personal issues getting in the way. There is also some danger due to her sister's past.

I really enjoyed the characters. Mira is feisty and funny and definitely not afraid to put someone in their place. She is bisexual and just got out of a long-term relationship with a woman and is not sure that she should pursue something with Owen. She definitely is attracted. She is hurt by her sister and knows she is keeping secrets from her. I would love to spend more time with her.

Owen is more of a thoughtful alpha and leads with his brain and not his brawn. He tends to feel deeply and get hurt but it doesn't keep him from trying. I appreciate that willingness to take risks.

The story moves fast and keeps your interest. I would love to see more books featuring the characters.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Title: Fault Lines Book 2

Adirondack Pack Series

Author: K.C. Stewart

Reviewed: Stephanie Jordan

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Ms. Stewart is really going to town with the
Adirondack Pack Series, adding a few new characters, but more than anything I love these women she has created, they are strong willed, take no crap women.
Miranda James, goes by Mira was so mad at her sister Sadie, she needed to talk to her.
It always went to voice mail and Sadie return the call. Yep Mira was going to give Sadie a big piece of her mind. But than this gigantic neanderthal open the door and smiles at me wanted to know I am? Who I am? Who was he?
Owen the Alpha of Adirondack Pack, couldn't believe his eyes.  Miranda James was made for him, he just knew it. And she was beautiful and spunky too, ohhhhh he like that. Why he hasn't been attracted like this in ages. Oh yes he was going to see if something can come of this. So what if she was bisexual he didn't care. Or did he?
I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

I love this series!! Just when you think you have it sussed - it turns around and pulls the rug out from under you. There are awesome characters who drag you into their world of shifters and mates. There is passion, danger, mystery and suspense. The best ingredients in the making of a great book!

Owen,is the charismatic Alpha of the Pack, and local Veterinarian. He's finally getting over being dumped by his ex over her own issues and when he meets Mira, he is knocked on his ass - finally his mate has arrived.

Mira is reeling after catching her partner cheating on her. She's finally managed to track down her wayward sister to her little town and she arrives wanting hugs and answers - not necessarily in that order! When she gets less than a lacklustre welcome from Sadie, she storms off and when she freaks out during a storm she ends up at Owen's home.

Thrown in a jealously possessive ex girlfriends who is sabotaging Owen at every turn, the return of the Canidae and the reappearance of the family of Sadie's stalker and you have a rip raring tale.

Well written, fast paced and empathetic characters. Mira is no-ones doormat and she gives Owen a run for his money, she's certainly not making it easy on the bug guy!!! I can't wait for the next in the series!!!

Fault Lines picks up shortly after the mating of Sadie and Tyson. While they’ve been living in “honeymoon bliss”, Sadie’s sister – Mira – hasn’t heard a word from her, and is in need of her big sister. So Mira comes to Sadie expecting to kick ass and get answers. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself running into and being drawn to the pack’s alpha, Owen. Owen is immediately taken with Mira and her sassy confidence. He definitely wants to get to know Mira, despite knowing that she may not be able to handle the secrets they keep. In the meantime, Canidae are still running around being evil d-heads. And unfortunately their evil plans involve hurting Owen and Sadie.

There was so much going on in this story! I was so anxious throughout reading because there was always something exciting going on page after page – whether it was action, emotions, romance. All my feels were all over the place. But I loved every minute of it. Mira is the epitome of sassiness, and she met her match in Owen. His alpha personality may be the only one that can be the perfect complement to what Mira needs in a partner. It bothered me to see Mira and Sadie at odds for so long during this story. And then what Lee does… ugh… Add in all the drama with the Canidae, and we have a great continuation of the series – definitely no sophomore slump to be had in this second book!

I received this book for a honest review. This book captured my interest from page one. Mira is a feisty human who goes in search of her sister who she hasn't heard from in months. Mira also just broke up with a long time love and is coming to terms with it. Her and sister and her r also dealing with some things. Once she gets to her sisters she meets Owen. And the Sparks start flying. Mira is a snarky spunky heroine who I absolutely loved. With Owen u get a hero that every snarky comment of Mira's just makes him smile. These two work. The supporting characters of Chuck and Zach are a welcome addition. Owen has an ex that's a small issue. As well as a strange pack of wolves that want to harm the sisters. I really wanted to love this book and the first 70 percent is really good. However, the ending was a bit rushed and didn't explain how they were going to overcome the differences between human and wolf. Like the longevity issue and there was almost no interaction between Mira and the pack other the with the submissiveness which I thought was odd considering the main issue with Owen and his ex was how the pack treated her. Over all I loved the character of Mira so I'm giving it three stars. But I was left with some unanswered questions.

This is an incredible and suspenseful story. The characters are awesome. Mira is worried about her sister Sadie. Plus Mira has just had a break-up with her girlfriend, and needs her sisterly bonding right now.
Only when she gets to Sadie's first she runs into a brute of sexy man who is trying to keep her out of Sadie's place. And he keeps calling her Rabbit. She thinks "Just who does he think he is?". Mira finally gets past him only to have her sister ask her to leave. Mira feels she should just leave town only she has no where to go right now. And she does not want to give up on Sadie. Owen can not believe the instant feeling he has for Sadie's sister Mira. He loves how she gets fired up when he calls her Rabbit lol. Owen feels he must get to know her.
Little does Sadie and her friends know that there is danger lurking close. Sadie had killed a guy named Peter when he was a danger to her. Now his brother is in town and wants revenge. And he plans to use Mira to get it.
Wow this book is fantastic with its suspense, action ,humor and amazing Romance!. It is a must read book!

This is the second book in the series. You could read it as a stand alone, but is much better when read in order.
Mira has just split from her cheating partner, and she's missing her sister. When she turns up on her sister's doorstep she doesn't get the welcome she wanted. Hurt and lonely she stumbles into the arms of someone who could take over her life. That she is not going to allow.
Owen is the Alpha of the Adirondack pack, and he has had a very emotional year. Too much loss has left him vulnerable. The feisty little human he calls rabbit, he has just caught could bring him some much needed happiness.
There is danger and jealousy playing it's part in the lives of the pack and the humans . Who is it really aimed at? The pack has to pull together to hunt down those who would do them harm. A very young hero comes to the fore to help with a rescue.
I loved every page. Mira is a strong, independent heroine. Owen has a lot on his plate as Alpha. Its a job that needs a steady family life.
I am waiting impatiently for the next book.

In book one I actually liked and felt sorry for Lee, but not so much in this book. She was truly a “B”. Lee did not like that the Alpha Owen was showing an interest in Sadie’s sister Mira. So Lee treated Mira bad and tried everything she to keep Mira and Owen apart.

Mira after a real bad breakup needed her sister. She had missed Sadie so much, now standing between seeing her sister was this big handsome man named Owen. Owen was smitten for Mira. Owen thought he would never feel anything again after Lee broke his heart, but here his wolf was excited about this human new comer.

There is an evil man that is visiting this town by the name of Mitch. He is the brother of Sadie’s dead stalker Peter. No one yet seems to know who he is, but he is there to get proof that Sadie is a cold blooded killer. Mira finds herself in serious danger. Will Owen get to her in time to save her?

I received this book for an honest review. I truly enjoyed Mira and Owen’s story.

This is the second book in the Adirondack pack series and it's a must read! Mira is human and has just gotten out of a serious relationship under bad circumstances and goes in search of her sister who she hasn't heard from in a while. Owen is a wolf shifter and the alpha of the Adirondack pack and Mira runs into him when she gets to her sister's place and he blocks her from seeing her sister. When Mira finally gets to talk to her sister she doesn't receive the warm welcome she was expecting and things take off from there. Owen has an immediate and intense attraction to Mira and she feels it too. The two share an intense chemistry and I love the interactions between them. He even nicknames her Rabbit, which I love. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to see what happens next. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fault Lines is a standalone novel with an other sassy heroine, a hot alpha hero and an HEA. Miranda James unexpectedly blows into town looking for her sister so she can "kill her" for not responding to her phone calls. But instead of a warm welcome, she is brushed off. Owen Purcell is at Sadie's when Mira arrives and is immediately intrigued with the little "Rabbit", telling her where in town she can rent a room for her stay. But the brother of Sadie's dead stalker is also in town and is recruited by the extremist group that almost killed Sadie in Book One. And they now have Mira in their sights. This is an excellent KU Library read.

Intense and fast moving story

I loved the depth of the emotions that the characters displayed. This book kept my interest to the end and I was sorry to see it end. I thought Owen was kind of a douche by keeping his ex girlfriend in his inner circle but it played a key role in the plot so I got it in the end. Mira was a fun character and I loved her strong personality and the honest way the she spoke. I think this is was a really good book that I enjoyed reading immensely. The characters were wonderfully put together, the plot was deep and the bad guy angle was unexpected and intense.

This is really the third book in the Adirondack Pack series and I loved the continuation of the storyline right through from the prequel story right into this one. I was intrigued to see that this one was Owen's story and also surprised at who did not feature all that largely in it. The author did a great job of balancing the new storyline with keeping us up to date with the continuing story of previous characters that also play a big part of this storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in this series and will certainly pick up the next one when it is released.

A great afternoon escape

K.C. Stuart has a gift for creating great characters and plots that are an escape from reality. I have read book one in this series and as soon as I saw the email with book two as free for download I said a prayer to the book gods and the author for cheering me up from my depression.

Part 2 of this world was just as good as or better than the first one. We got to meet Sadie’s spitfire sister Mira and she makes quite an entrance. Immediately you fall for her just like Owen did. This book was so real except for the wolf factor that you felt like you were in it. I so hope there will be more in this area of Adirondack. Really good work.

As the second book in this series, the one thing I found faulting in the first story was nonexistent in this story. from the beginning you become to understand Owen and Mira and experience how their relationship grows and the intensity of their feelings. Not just physical but on an emotional level that is often lacking in many stories I've come across. Great series to read.

Different from the first since we didn't get the snarky wolf side, but I liked anyways. Still the same grammatical errors as the first. But the epilogue, holy cow, hurry up with the next book please!

Being ignored by her sister when she most needed a shoulder to cry on, Mira drove 4 hours to give her a piece of her mind! Mira banged on Sadie’s door as hard as she could, threatening to knock it down if her sister didn’t answer! Instead, a huge male opened the door, looking like he was annoyed! She figured she could sprint past him, but he was alert and snatched her up by the waist! He called her “Rabbit” and was delighted at seeing how it irritated her. Then another man walked up and Owen introduced her as “Rabbit”, loving the reaction it elicited. Mira had claimed she was there to kill Sadie, and both men chuckled at that. But Tyson knew who she was and Owen continued to carry her -- under his arm like a football -- to Sadie. When Owen laughed at her, she was ready to kill him too!

There is quite a bit happening in this story. The action never really settles down, and the twists and turns will make you dizzy! Right from the start Mira raises a huge commotion and the banter between Mira and Owen was hysterically funny! Mira is a sassy gal that I would love to have as my best friend. And Owen is fun-loving guy with a great personality. You can’t ask for more!

This was a delightful book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love feel-good books like this, and it didn’t disappoint. I definitely recommend reading this one!

Terrific Wolf-shifter, feisty human Romance!!

Mira is having a tough time, and her sister Sadie who is normally her sounding board has gone off the reservation. So Mira has come to “kill her” and find out what is going on. Sadie looks good, but is NOT happy to see her. She is also hiding something. The large, muscled man Owen who answered the door informs her sister’s protector “Tyson this little Rabbit is here to kill your woman”. Who are these people in her sister’s life? Rather than return home Mira decides to take a week’s vacation in the small town.

Owen is Alpha of the wolf pack. He doesn’t quite understand why the little woman with all the spunk brings out his wolf. When a threat from the past resurfaces, and a new threat occurs these sisters and their wolf-shifting men must work together to remove the threat.

Highly entertaining read of wolf pack politics, humans who do not know werewolves exist, small town loyalty, bad guys, gamers and romance!! I thoroughly enjoy this series!!

Luckily I’ve read book one a few days ago so I knew who and what is going on. Picks up a few weeks after book one left off and also brings in Mitch for Sadie’s story that is a brother for her stalker that she killed in self defense and Mitch is wanting to reopen his brouthers murder case with evidence he’s needing to get. Owen is the Alpha of Sadie and his pack but best friend/brother(not blood) to Tyson. Owen and Tyson are together more now his human form then the last book, Lee is causing trouble for herself and Owen with Mira, Sadie’s sister. Mira and Sadie go at it for the first half like hellcats until something happened to Mira. But Owen might have a claim on his Rabbit but Mira is her own independent women and the big bad wolf will be tamed down by the Rabbit of his dreams.

I soooo wanted to give this full marks, but the editing of the book was a little poor in some areas a couple of grammatical errors along with some continuity style errors.
So I give it 4.5

BUT on the flip side the book was a fantastic follow on from book 1 with little nuances which tied the pack series together. There was plenty of drama and tension throughout the book, though Sadie, from book 1, doesn't fair too well in this story. I wouldn't recommend reading this book before book 1 otherwise you will probably have no sympathy or compassion for her.
Owen, the alpha, does come across as more 'human' and less alpha in this book, demonstrating that love makes us all go soft. He doesn't get it easy either; he has to work for it.
Overall a well formulated and page turning read you won't want to put down.

This is a captivating book to read, and I really enjoyed reading it. This book is about a feisty, sassy female (Mira James) who was betrayed by her lover and is now on the hunt for her sister, she meets a domineering werewolf alpha (Owen Purcell) who seems to have met his match. What you will find in this book is: drama, suspense, twists & turns, humor, verbal banter, action, conflict, emotional feelings, enemies, danger, betrayal, abduction, denial, jealousy, doubts, lust, love and passion. I found the story-line to be well thought out and written. The characters are extremely likeable and are quite well developed with emotional feelings according to the situation they find themselves in. I would recommend this book.
