I walked through hell, some of it caused by myself. Things were torn away from me that I would never get back. Hearts were broken beyond repair. Then mayhem ensued, and I lost who I was. Music was always part of it. Music almost killed me. It dragged me in, caught me up, and almost destroyed me. I lost who I was and became someone I never wanted to be.

Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The release, the buzz, the electric guitar's rage against all that was f'ed up in the world. It took me away and made me feel something when I was a soulless nothing … until the high wore off.

Music also brought me back.

I woke to a Zeppelin song, face down in my own vomit, next to a pile of coke and with three naked women at my feet. Disgusted with myself, disgusted with them, I walked, and I walked alone.

One chance meeting, a golden opportunity, a chance of a lifetime changed it all.

The sins of the past are behind me now. The day has finally come when I will walk onstage, not as an opening act, but as the act. Hours before my dream comes to fruition, though, I run into a girl, one f'ing girl, and I am back on the path of destruction.

This book was fantastic!!! I think it's my favorite in the series so far. Finn Beckett & Sonya rocked my world and particularly, my kindle.
They meet and at once they seem to hate each other. Sonya is not impressed by Finn's rocker image and he sure as hell doesn't seem impressed that she is a social media genius. What starts as mutual dislike turns into something strong and inevitable. Their chemistry seems to burn through the pages. Their emotions getting stronger by the minute.
But Sonya knows a lot about Finn's past and she has her own secrets to hide.
Finn despises the past and avoids it at all costs but what if that past has the power to either unite them or wreck them forever?
This book was full to the brim with emotions and pulsating sensuality. MJ Fields knows how to spin a sizzling tale of romance, loyalty and friendship. Her characters are real and incredibly lovable. She put real emotion into this book and her craft made me laugh, swoon and cry. Amazing writing.
Do not miss this book. I cannot wait for River's story.

My sis-in-law, Lex, recommended this. I just created a shelf to commemorate her picks. BB and Zo can't be the only lucky ones. Mainly it helps me keep track of how many shit-tastic books they've made me read. I call it "proof" when we get together at the holidays.

So the story... I decided not to read any reviews before I read this one. I don't even think I read the blurb.

I forgot this was the band named STD. Now I think I know why I decided not to finish the series after reading the first one.

I finally read the blurb, and it's almost misleading. There are no OW. None. Nada. Zilch.

This is a great bit of fluff to clear the brain for something else. I can't tell if I'll read the next in the series yet. This was worth a read if this is your favorite niche of romance.

There is almost no review because it wasn't all that memorable. It held my interest and I read the whole bit, that's always a plus ;)

Quotes:
---
“When Billy and Madison leave....”

WTF? Is this author really going to have a book with characters that will always make me think stupid...Billy Madison. Well that'd be just as juvenile as the rest of these books.
---
“No girl should want a rock star,” I tell her, stepping forward and taking her hand. “But I told you that lifestyle doesn’t interest me. I have you under me; no one else holds that position.”

A rockstar promising fidelity!?!
Or only doing missionary with her?

Finn's story picks up just before Memphis and Tally's ended in book one. Right off the bat, there's heat and tension between Finn and Sonya. Finn can't put his finger on it but her mere presence instantly gets under his skin. So much so that he's filled with both urges of desire and hate. He's definitely not Team Sonya, in the beginning.

This tension gave a great start to Finn and Sonya's tale. Sexual tension and angst was at a high from the start of page one. Eventually they can't fight their urges; which sparks a relationship that neither of them planned for. But, at Sonya's request, it's kept on the DL. She's worried it will jeopardize her new job and she doesn't want an incident from her past to come to light and take away from her independence and all the hard work she's put forth.

Finn was mostly the serious one of the band. He's all about the music and never really gave in to the hype of rockstar life. Sonya was ambitious. Her initial meeting with the band got off to a rocky start because her drive got her mixed up in Stevie's antics (you've gotten to know her if you've read Memphis Black). This only drove Sonya to work harder so she can prove herself since being given an opportunity she couldn't pass up.

I will admit, there was a point of disconnect, for me. I can't exactly pinpoint it but it did happen for a moment. Slowly but surely, the storyline pulled me back in and I was back in love with the characters. I'm still a huge fan of the guys from S.T.D. and love getting little cameos from my Steel men, when they pop up. Xavier and Tealyn are just as adorbs as ever.

I'm so looking forward to River's story. I have a feeling his is going to be more intense and emotional...especially with how things were left for him at the end of this book.

This is the 2nd book in the Rockers of Steel Series and I highly recommend reading book 1 which is Memphis Black. It took me a minute to remember where we left off in Memphis's book but once I got going I couldn't put it down!

This book is about Finn who is the Bass player of the band (STD) and Sonya. At first you almost hate Sonya or at least wonder what the heck she's up to and the animosity between her and Finn is evident. But over time you come to learn her story and you slowly fall in love with not only her but also Finn.

I really loved that this story was filled with just about everything you could want in a book. Of course it had romance and hotness but it also has friendship and loyalty and on top of that there was of course secretes, lies, hurt and drama!

MJ Fields always does a great way of giving the reader exactly what we need without going over board. There were definitely a couple of times when I wanted answers ASAP about Finn and Sonya's pasts but I tried to just let the story flow naturally and not let my reader impatience take over. In the end MJ gave us what we needed. Although, I would love to know more about Finn so I am hoping we see more of him in River's book which is next in this series. Congrats on another amazing book MJ Fields! Can't wait for the next one!

“You either wanna fuck me or kill me.” - Finn

MJ Fields has done it again! I cannot give MJ enough praises for her writing. She truly knows how to capture each character personality on each page.

Finn is the second book in the Rockers of Steel Series and I loved this book. I am a sucker for single parent books and this book was by far the best I have ever read.

I do have to say, that I ABSOLUTELY hated Finn. He was cocky, arrogant and generally a jackass. I wanted to KILL him. I was so frustrated with his cocky attitude that I wanted to throw the book across the room and scream. Sonya on the other, she’s what kept me from actually throwing it. I love how strong she is even though life had dealt her a crap hand. I wanted to cry for her as she bared her dark twisted past to Finn, and the way he reacted to it made me fall in love with him. I’m not going to lie though, I hated that the issue between Finn and River was left out there for you to speculate about. I hope that MJ doesn’t make her readers wait long for the conclusion of their dilemma. I have many many questions about River and I need them answered….NOW!

I can't possibly write a review that describes how much I love Finn Beckett. The hatred, the anger, the devotion, and the love he has for his career and for those around him is something powerful. He's a force to be reckoned with and I love him for it.

He meets the love of his life under strenuous circumstances. He pushes her away, or he tries to. It doesn't work for him the way he'd hoped.

You're either going to fuck me or kill me.

That sums up this entire relationship. It's very love hate. Until it's all love. And once they realize they need that love, it's beautiful and all-consuming and something amazing.

As always, there are issues, but these two manage to overcome the odds and come out stronger on the other side.

Did I mention I listened to this? Because Kai and Wen are AH-Freaking-Mazing! They have to be one of my favorite narration duos. I can't wait to continue this series.

Finn, Finn, Finn, mmm, mmm, mmm.

Finn was a great character. I love rock star books. And the fact that Fields tied in her others series made this even better!

This book was full of surprises, with pasts you didn't see coming. I was on pins and needles waiting to figure out what was going on. I loved the suspense!

I liked seeing None-ya's transformation. She went from a snarky b**** to a strong survivor who learned the hard way that things aren't always as they seem. She had a LOT going on in her life and was trying to do the best she could. She really is an awe-inspiring character.

Finn was hotter than hell. That beard... 'nuff said.

I love the song lyrics in the book as I had with Memphis. Really beautiful and soul filling.

I definitely liked this book better than the first one Memphis Black. When everything ended in Memphis Black, I knew there was a story behind Sonya and Finn, that I wanted to read. Once I got into the story there it went a direction that I did not see coming. I give M.J. Fields two thumbs up for not giving me what I expected. I loved Sonya's story as tragic and uplifting as it was. I found Sonya very strong and wanting to make things good for her and her family. I found myself rooting for Sonya. I knew there was a sad story behind Finn, but there were times I was not his fan. By the end I was rooting for Finn and Sonya. M.J. Fields managed to bring a tear to my eyes by the end. I really like the dual point of view, it helps to fill in some parts you would not get from a single point of view. In my opinion if you can get through Memphis Black, I think Finn Beckett is much better.

5 Stars!

I love this author. She is amazing and writes pure genius. From the very first book, I was hooked. Every book I have read since has been nothing short of perfection. She writes strong heroines who we can relate too and sexy alpha males who make you swoon and should come with a panty-warning.

Each book she writes flawlessly and gives us a masterpiece that sticks with us long after its over. You will laugh, cry, swoon, smile, laugh and definitely fall in love. While I love the Men of Steel series, this is quickly becoming my next favorite series with her kiss-a$$ heroines and edgy rockers.

This book was absolutely amazing. It was passionate, angsty, sexy, steamy, and had one bad boy rocker who will make you swoon and fall hard. This book was an intense read and I devoured it one time. MJ gave me a story that put me through an emotional roller coaster that was worth it by the end.

I am a total sucker for a rock star romance. They are gritty, raw and take everything to the next level. When I read MJ's books, it is like stepping into a world that I don't want to leave. And Finn... get ready ladies because he is going to rock your world. I promise you will be begging for this STD!

This is Finn and Sonya's story. Both are damaged. Both have their own demons and secrets. But they are drawn to each other. Their chemistry is undeniable and the passion is sizzling. Secrets. It won't be easy for these two. Hearts will break. Feelings will be hurt. Can Sonya and Finn find a happy ending?

Their story was full of twist sand turns. While I loved, Memphis, book one in this series, Finn totally claimed my heart and spoke to my soul. His story was real and sucked me in from the very first page. I knew Finn was going to be my favorite. He just oozed that bad boy charm I am drawn too.

You will swoon for Finn and find yourself rooting for Sonya. Finn was amazing. He made me want to kiss and strangle him at the same time... alot. And our girl Sonya.... I really liked her though it was rough in the beginning. Give her a chance because she has a story that is definitely worth telling.

And that cover... SWOON!

I highly recommend this book!

If you haven’t read Memphis Black, Book 1 in this series then please do – for two reasons:
1. This book will make more sense if you do
2. You really need to meet Memphis!!!
So I am now assuming that you have read Memphis and are digging into this Finn’s story and if you are anything like me you are initially shaking your head at this belligerent rocker.
But and it is a big but – I loved him. I could forgive him his attitude, I could smile at his arrogance and I could and did loose myself in his musings- this man was just what he said he was a storm wrapped up in all manner of broody, sexy rocker.
Finn, is the reluctant superstar, the whole fame game is lost on him, not that he doesn’t understand it – he does perfectly well, he is just ambivalent to it all. For Finn, it is all about the music- everything else is just window dressing and distraction.
This bass player is I would like to say happy in his own skin, but I’m not sure that happy is a word that Finn has in his vocabulary, he is an unsociable soul, with a connection to River that runs deep but with a heart that has been broken and a past that he has no intention of every letting define him.
But has he met his match with Sonya, and yes if you have read the first book you will know that she makes an appearance in that book, and it is a none too auspicious introduction. But looks can be deceiving.
The draw between them is one of contempt, they really don’t have a good word to say to each other but is that all a front, because there is something more going on between this pair but getting to the crux of what that is, is a journey and a half!
Their story will have you at sixes and sevens, it is far from straight forward and it is all the better for the complexities that they carry with them, the truth of Sonya past is harsh and the connection when it is completed is astonishing.
I ran the gamut of emotions as I made my way through this book and I am all the better for it.
I won’t give you spoilers on this story, not that I don’t want too because I could wax lyrical about almost every aspect of the story to anyone who would be willing to listen but spilling the storyline would be doing you a disservice because in my opinion you really need to read this book.
Finn Beckett you are a legend!

The only hold the past has, is what you allow it.

Reviewing on behalf of Our Bookstars Blog

5- rocking stars

The past can grip you. Keep you locked in its vise. Only to relive it over and over. Or you can learn from it. Be stronger from it. Two troubled souls. One took one path, Sonya grew from her past. She made do, even though everywhere she looked people felt pity for her. In each look of sadness from a stranger she relived that night. But not one to let that drag her down, she followed her dream. To make a better life for her and her son. One book fuels her fire. A journal that brings her to someone more troubled than herself: Rock star Finn Beckett.

" “Whatever it is you’re doing here—” “My job,” I say, summoning strength. “Which is?” I feel his thumb brush across my knuckles, first my left hand then my right. I take in a deep breath, fully prepared to be strong until he says, “Do you want to kill me or fuck me?” The way he says it … God, the way he says it rattles me. It knocks me off my game, makes me forget the game. It makes me realize this isn’t a game. Everything has changed. He leans in slowly, and I know it like I know the back of my hand. I know I’m … gone. I lick my lips, readying myself for the inevitable as he leans left. The scruff of his beard softly scratches my cheek as his breath hits my ear. I am supposed to hate him—I want to hate him—but right now, hate is not what I am feeling."

The other took the more troubled path. During from his past. Clutched in its grasp, he wallowed in anger. Shielding himself from everyone. His music was his escape. Nothing else mattered. Till she walked into his life. With each moment in her presence, the muck cleared.. But the past always has a way of sneaking in.

" My head is in a fog of desire and need. A need I know is driven by the fear of a lie that I can’t have more, one that needs to be abolished so I don’t slip any further away than I already know I am capable of."

I fell in love with STD. I look forward to reading River's story!

Ahhh….Finn……Such a troubled soul but such a good man. I enjoyed Finn Beckett in the first Rockers of Steel book and now that he has his time to shine---yeah, just go ahead and put all your other book boyfriends away. Finn will “Steel” your heart!!

This author can write some seriously hot, alpha men that become puddles of goo around their “one.” I loved the Men of Steel series by MJ. I didn’t think she could improve on that greatness. This spin-off is looking to grab some of the Steel brother’s thunder. Memphis was good, but Finn, hands down fantastic read!

This book hit all the markers for good book criteria for me: Troubled Hero--Finn, Strong Heroine--Sonya, Rockers and music, single parent, sultry lead up to s3xual combustion, broken hearts mended by true love. Helps tremendously that this author can write her pants off as well! There are some laugh out loud moments as well:

A toast to STD from Xavier Steel: "To guys who strum, to guys who drum, to the guys whose voices make women dumb." He winks at Memphis and then me.
" To girls who make us f@@king come." River laughs.
"Forever Steel."

This can be read as a stand-alone even though it is the second book in the series. The action actually overlaps some of the story from the first book so readers can catch up quickly to how the first book ended. There are also appearances from the original Steel gang that fans of the series will appreciate. If you haven’t already, start with Jace and just read them all the way through. You will enjoy the whole set.

Hmmm….now the next book is River’s story. I’m not a fan of his so big shoes to fill MJ in making him loveable for the masses. Can’t wait to see if there is a woman or man who can bring him out of the darkness!

After reading Memphis Black, I couldn’t wait to read Finn’s story and what had caused STD’s guitarist to start to slide. What made Finn start seek out something besides his great addiction music to help relax him.

Finn Beckett starts right where Memphis Black ended with the bad. You can read this as a standalone and not be lost, but I personally think you need to read Memphis’s story first

Finn wants to forget his past and live in the here and now, play his music and write his songs. When he meets Sonya there’s something about her that makes him instantly hate her and attracted to her at the same time.

Sonya has hated Finn Beckett for years and hadn’t even met him yet. When she lands herself a job at Forever Steel they must work together. Although she tries her best to avoid there was a magnetic connection between them. She quickly realized that everything that she knew about him was a lie. Finn may be a troubled rocker, but he was a good guy. Sonya also has a past that she doesn’t want to share but with each day she spent with Finn she started to open up more and more each day.

It was a little frustrating that Sonya trusted and wanted to talk about her past with Finn which he was happy to listen and help her with her problems, but he would not open up to her. Finn had a tough childhood, but it was like pulling teeth to find out what happened to him that made him never want to look back.

It looks like, in the next book about STD’s drummer, River, we will find out even more about Finn and River’s past’s. I think River’s story will be a hard one to read. He’s got some major demon’s to work through and I can’t wait to read who helps work through them.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

WOW! SO I finished this book last night and had to let my little hamster run for a bit on its little wheel. This book kinds snuck up on me and WHAMO I loved Finn. I mean I started the book and didn’t know if I was feeling it to be totally honest. Finn just kinda rubbed me the wrong way but then he let us into his mind and told us, the reader, all about the whys of his behavior. LOVE!! Instant Love for this man.

Sonya….Again I kinda wasn’t feeling her at first. I mean we really hated her last book after her stunt with Memphis and Tales. So GRRRR to see her get an HEA…OH HECKS NO!! But then again, she let us in and OMG this woman. What she has lived through and is surviving…….HARDCORE BADA$$ was now what I thought of her.

The twist of why Sonya hated Finn…gutted me. The story that we find out from her and Finn that included River, made my heart hurt. The story we find out about Sonya …heart breaking and so cruel. But what made my heart explode was when Finn offered his heart to Sonya and she turned it down not knowing what he was meaning. I. Was. Devastated!! Like Screaming at the book NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Think about it!! Think Girl!!!! But God love that determined bearded hottie, he refused to let her go. He knew she was special.

I have to say the build up to the next book, for River, I can only imagine the tears will be free falling. This book got me allll kinds of misty eyes but River is going to gut my heart out and stomp on it!!! So of course I can’t wait to read it!!!

Finn Beckett is book #2 in the Rockers of Steel Series it can be read as a standalone but i highly recommend reading in order.

MJ Fields rocked this book hard core, i was on the fence in book one about Finn but I'll say this.... I'm in love with him like totally obsessed and crushing on Finn.

Finn is the bass player of the band STD, he is the least sociable of the group very low keyed and keeps to himself, we get to learn the reasons behind his behavior and learn the heartbreak he's lived with and kept deep in his past.

Sonya we've met in book #1 she is the enemy and when at first I started reading about her in this story I had to seriously try to be objective. Sonya and Finn both hated each other from the first time they laid eyes on each other but ... And I say but.... there was a pull between these two that they couldn't resist and that led to some seriously hot steamy scenes that were off the charts.

This story had me on the edge of my seat so many twists and turns and yes some gut wrenching tears also when we learn of Sonya's past and also Finn's and how these two are connected by by it.

Following the journey that both Sonya and Finn go through and when all the secrets are finally exposed is a journey that you must experience so I'm not saying anymore.

I know this review is not really explaining much as to what the whole story is about, so much happens , but I don't want to to ruin the beauty and depth here, I can't stress enough how brilliantly written this story is so do yourself a favor and go "one click" this baby now . I want my own Finn Beckett .

This is book two in The Rockers of Steel series, but it can be read as a stand alone.
I gave this book 5 ROCKIN' stars!

Oh, where do I start? I have been a fan of MJ Fields since her first books came out, BUT I have to say that Finn might just be my favorite.
This man has it all. He is a tortured soul, one that you will be able to connect with on so many levels. He tries so hard to be the good guy, (and he is) for the most part. I believe Finn wears his heart on his sleeve. You don't think that he could find the love of his life in the woman that is right there all the time getting under his skin and making him want to scream, but she is. She is also a tortured soul that needs so much healing. Together they come together and it's explosive!!!
You will laugh, you may even cry. Finn's story will leave you wanting to turn the pages faster then you can read. It will leave you wanting more and begging MJ Fields to never end it! Finn Beckett is my dream man and I was lost in his story that I never wanted to come back to reality.
MJ Fields is an amazing author that writes stories that are full of hot, beautiful, sexy men. Full of love, heartache and real situations. She has outdone herself this time once you read Finn you will never be the same. Thank you MJ for an amazing story! I can't wait to read what you have coming up for River !

So I am new to this series , I read Memphis 1 day and then Finn the next !! I am so thrilled to be an STD groupie now !! As much as River is pissing me off I am really interested in his book next , that will be some serious craziness !! I love the whole Forever family and I loved seeing all sides of these guys , the touring , the low key , the love and the crazy.

We see Sonya at the end of Memphis and lets just say she is a thorn in everyones side and I was not really sure that I liked her. Finn was positive he didn't like her. We quickly realize she isn't going anywhere anytime soon AND she has a BIG SECRET and so does Finn and somehow there is a crazy connection that will drive you crazy until it is revealed. Sonya makes a great addition to the group , surprisingly and of course Finn's dislike turns to lust ,desire and pure alpha male. Their connection is great but Sonya is trying to keep them a secret, I guess it actually makes it hotter since they are sneaky and unexpected visits and fun. Finn's past may be troubled but Sonya's past and present are filled with it. Once the secrets come to light you will be shocked , captivated and on edge waiting to see what will go down and what choices people make. Finn and River have always had this odd connection , this long time friendship , pulled each other out of the dark , well just you wait until River sheds some light on Finn's past... I have to say the set up for the next book is intense and I am excited but horrified to see the heartache that may come out of that.

Hot, steamy, passionate, sexy, and heartbreaking. MJ’s stories grip you from the first page sucking you into the story until the very end. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, betrayal, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Memphis Black (The Rockers of Steel #1)

This is Sonya and Finn’s story. Sonya and Finn are both drawn to each other. Sonya has secrets that she would prefer stay secrets and in the past. Can she allow Finn close without her secrets coming out? If he were to find out her secrets could she trust him to keep them? Finn blows hot and cold with Sonya depending on how he feels at the time. After an overheard conversation he thinks that Sonya is playing him. What he finds out is both a relief and a shock. Can he overcome her past and help her trust him? What will happen after the tour? When Finn decides that he is not happy with Sonya will not only the friendship be over but also her job? Can Finn ever understand Sonya or is even their friendship about to come crashing down?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. Was great to read a little about the Steel brothers in this story I miss them. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this story, this series, and anything this author writes.

I'm a newer fan of M.J. Fields, and so glad to have discovered her. I LOVED Memphis Black, but OMG Finn Beckett was FREAKIN AMAZING! Wasn't sure that I would love anyone more than Memphis, but I was proven wrong!

Finn Beckett is the tortured soul bassist of STD. He has walked through hell, some of it self induced. After waking up face down in his own vomit, next to coke, disgusted with himself. Sonya is a woman that has her won demons. She hates Finn on sight, but still feels a connection to him. When they spend a drunk night together, she knows nothing will ever be the same. They can't stay away from one another, but will secrets destroy them?

Holy Hot Bassist Batman! I LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about this book! Did I want to choke Finn and Sonya from time to time, hell yeah! But their mistakes were realistic ones that I could totally relate to. The character development is perfect, and I just love all these broken bad boy rockers, along with the women who love them. A very well written, exciting, highly addicting storyline flows effortlessly. M. J. Fields had me laughing tons at her well placed humor, and hilarious way with words. The chemistry is flammable making super EXPLOSIVE sexy scenes to die for. I LOVE this series, and I CANNOT WAIT for the next book to come out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

***Warning this book contains adult situations****
This is the second book in the series.

Finn plays bass for the band Steel total destruction (STD). He's all about the music it's his way of life after a rough past. He lives the live of a rock star. After living a life of drugs, drinking and women he has calmed down a bit. Until he meets Sonya after he stopped her from destroying one one his bad mates, he is tore by a need to kill her or fuck her. He has no clue why she brings out these feelings in him. He wants nothing to do with her, but life has a way of putting the people you need right there in your face. Sonya just needed the money so she took the job, but she also has secrets, and that why she hates Finn. So it was a plus that she got to hurt Finn with this new job she took on. Although Sonya fights the need to be with Finn she can't fight him forever. When her secrets come out will she be left broken by Finn? Or Will Finn be the man she needs to make her stronger?

This story as all of MJ's was amazing. Each story gets better that I read from this author. I love how the two make each other stronger. The mystery sin this story blew be away. My jaw may have actually hit the floor. I was blown away. I you haven't fallen for one of the Steel's or extended family you are missing out on your next great bbf.

This book is full of the bad boy rocker's image we associate with rock and roll but it's also filled with heart, love and a little hate but when all thrown together you get one rocking story that will have you turning the pages quicker and hoping it doesnt end.

Holy freaking sex on a stick that's Finn Beckett, sexy Bass player/writer/sometimes vocal of STD (Steele Total Destruction) he feels a storm coming but little does he know he's going to be the eye of the storm.

The hate that both he and Sonya feel is instant but so is the pull towards each other, Sonya knows she's good at what she does, social media and balancing her personal life but like all of us she feel's weakness at times. Finn he point's out her strengths and helps her live in the now not looking back to the past, however Sonya knows that for the future they both crave they have to deal with the past and that's Finn's stumbling block.

Please go get your copy and fall in love with the sexy Finn Beckett you wont be disappointed I for one cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I didn't think MJ could top Men of Steel but these guys are giving them a run for the money. #sexyfinnbeckett

I enjoyed this book. both the charachters are so tormented because of their horrible pasts. Finn because his mom was a cooking meth head that burned down their house and never went back.his girlfriend died of an overdose and he just shut it all down and welcomed the dark, stopped really caring and enjoying life. Sonya her mother was a dealer that lived a great opulant life, her mother got arrested and that left Sonya with her aunt who didn't really want to be there, she just wanted the lifestyle, she was pregnant by almost 17 and was also attacked and left for dead all this played out on tv. she was afraid for her life a and her son's life. she stopped living until her amazing social media talent brought her into the lives of STD and Finn. it's hate at first sight, but their chemistry is too strong and then they start to see beyond the hate and realize that they have more in common than they thought, they bring each other back to life and "Finn don't give a shit Beckett" starts to put and think of Sonya first for everything and eventually her son Noah, he he wants to raise as his own. they both get what they have always wanted, love and. family. good read.

This is the second book in the Rockers of Steel series and as always I would recommend reading this series in order. This is Finn and Sonya's story.

Finn Beckett is your typical brooding rocker, but he really draws you in from the get go. With every page I just wanted to get under his skin and find out what was making this bad boy tick.
It's clear from the get go that Sonya has secrets and for me she took a little warming to but slowly but surely she won be round - as her secrets are revealed I couldn't help but fall for her.
What can I say about them together, boy they were smoking and there's no denying their chemistry. I loved watching them evolve from the passionate fighting couple to so much more.

Finn's story took a little while to really drag me in but when it did, I couldn't flip the pages quick enough. It's a rocker romance but has a real edge of mystery flowing throughout. Secrets, lies, twists and turns - this book had a little bit of everything.

I would happily recommend this series and I can't wait for River's book next.

5+ Amazing Stars.

I fell in love with Finn Beckett. MJ Fields has done it again!! She has a writing ability like no other. She gives you hot alpha males that know hot to talk dirty and she makes you laugh your azz off too!

When Finn and Sonya first come together, they aren't exactly each other's biggest fans. Yet their pull towards one another is undeniable. With Finn being part of the band known as Steel Total Destruction (aka STD) we also get to see Xavier Steel in action - and oh the things those Men of Steel can do!

Finn is a deeply emotional musician that gives you the feels from beginning to end. I will never look at a man with a beard the same way again! MJ Fields continues to set the bar high with her ability to bring hot alpha males to life on the pages of her books and at the same time developing secondary characters that lead to more amazing books to come!

MJ Fields has done it again. Just when you think there can't be a better character then her last one she gives us Finn Beckett.
Finn Beckett guitarist for the band STD has brought himself to a place where music is his thing the past he wants to keep there and too many memories he doesn't want or need to remember. When he meets Sonya there's something about her that pisses him off but also is totally turned on by her.
Sonya a young woman just trying to make her life better for family has a lot of scars from her past and holding on to that anger will get you know where so what she needs to do is move on and in doing that it brings Finn right to her.
If you can say love-hate relationship that is there's but insecurities is what's holding her back but Finn wants her to see that it can all be good.
The chemistry between the two is off the charts but they have to go through a lot of bumps in the road to get where they are meant to be. This is just the next chapter in the life of STD but I'm staying on for the ride which I'm sure will be a hell of a lot of fun.

FINN BECKETT. oh my, for the first time, i can't even find the words to describe a book. He's so wonderful, and gorgeous and just so....FINN!! he stole my heart, i definitely don't want it back...ever!!

one look, one look and he knew that freaking Sonya would change his life, she'd be a storm that he didn't need. It was Hate at first sight, for both of them. She sees him as the man she should NEVER get close to and yet, she can't stay away.He hates that he wants to be close to her. the attraction these two have is of the charts!! They're drawn to each other like crazy! I loved them, i loved their heartbreaking story, i love how they come together, i hate the secrets that come out, my heart broke and i didn't know what to feel towards MJ Fields but then.....like always, she made it all better, she mended my heart and now i love her even more. She gave me Finn Beckett!! This book has made it into my top 10 this year!!!

if you haven't read Memphis Black, you need to do so ASAP!! that way, you make your way to my Finn!

And she’s back! MJ Fields once again brings us sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll. Finn Beckett is the epitome of a bearded book boyfriend. All attitude, sexiness, and heart. With just the right amount of angst and lust, Finn Beckett makes for a great afternoon read. You’ll find that it’s easy to get lost in brown eyes and a bass guitar.

Can hate turn to love? What if there are secrets between them? How far can you go without being honest? I enjoyed the banter between Finn and Sonya, and really liked their intimacy. Even when there wasn’t sex, there was the building of a foundation for a relationship. With a few twists and turns throughout the book, you’ll be hooked and want to keep reading.

Between parts of the book that felt rushed and parts that felt drawn out, there was a balance between the two that made for a good read. So, grab a sour apple blow pop and settle in for a fun and feisty ride.

M J Fields second book in the Rockers of Steel series is brilliant it a little darker than Memphis Black because Finn’s and Sonya’s past plays a big part.

This book shows you how the past can catch up to you and how not facing it can destroy your future, make you reckless and do things that are out of character. When Finn and Sonya meet you can see a connection and that they are draw to each other. The thin line between hate and love is crossed and even though Sonya wants to tell Finn everything he doesn't want to go back.

You nearly think all is lost when the true comes out about Finn’s past and you really feel for Sonya, but at no time does he give up on them, he just runs from the being together.

You will cry this book is full of emotion and sadness especially as the past break friendships and alliances . Even thought you know Sonya and Finn will find a happy ever after you are left wondering if Steel Total Destruction will be able to forge though and not disintegrate.

I gave this book 5 star and can't wait for the next book in this series to come out.

Mr. Beckett....just wow, I've found my new BBF and he's a hot as f**k rocker from STD!!
I recommend that you read Memphis Black before you read this book it helps you get to know a little bit more of everyone.
Finn- my hot as hell rocker is just that, but there is a lot more to him. He has had one hell of a life and he wants to be the best of the best so he works his ass off for it. He's laid back, funny, and has a huge heart that most people dont see. Finn loves to sit down with paper and a pen and write lyric's that will break you, but also wonder what the hell he has gone through in his life.

Sonya- She has had a horrible past but one great person came out of the ashes that is her past. He makes her stronger everday. None'ya (gotta read to find out why its none'ya) is very closed off. She wants to do her job and earn her money so she can quit hiding and be herself.
When Sonya and Finn let their desires go for eachother it is a beautiful thing. There are plenty of WTF moments in this story. I cant wait to read about River. I have a feeling its going to be explosive!!
