If you like scary Aliens you'll love this book, it gives you a fright for sure. It's fast paced and keeps you on your toes. I honestly think this is Kathy's best book to date. Her zombie books are just as scary. Grab it if you like aliens you won't be disappointed. Only a few editing problems but other than that it great.

I really like the whole premise for this book, invasion books are exciting and interesting for me to read, and I love the suspense created. Angie is almost 18 years old, who is your typical teenager, she cares about boys and popularity, and if she'll receive a car for her 18th birthday, but when weird ships begin appearing in the sky, she has a lot more to worry about than the possibility of getting back with her cheating ex, or the hottie visiting his uncle next door. Arrived does have some of the things that are typical in alien books, but I didn't feel like it was repetitive, and the tension of being found and killed by the aliens, made the story entertaining. A couple things I didn't quite care for is that Angie is a bit too superficial for my liking, and also I don't like that the hottie neighbor calls her kid, and the feelings between the characters all felt artificial. After reading this book, there is still a lot of story to be told, so I'm definitely looking forward to the next book. Kathy Dinisi did a great job of setting the scene, and keeping me interested as a reader.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are my own.

I didn't know what to expect when the author announced that their newest release would be about aliens but knowing her skills with zombies I knew that I would not be disappointed and let me tell you; I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. This fast paced thrill ride is out of this world. World building and characters are strong and the story line is simply amazing. Kathy Dinisi is a talented author with a bright future ahead of her and I recommend that all sci-fi lovers, alien lovers, any lovers of book jump on this fantastic read. Hold on to your unidentified seats and be prepared for the arrival!!!

I received an ARC for an honest review.
The author has done it again. With an alien invasion she keeps you on your toes. Just when you think there is no possible way the characters will live she surprises you. Things go from confusing to terrifying as the aliens move through the town leaving destruction in their path. I can't wait to read the next instalment.

A very solid debut by a new author. She gives the reader another view of of an alien invasion. The characters in her book are just ordinary people struggling to get back with their children and family members. She has excellent character development and a very good story line.

Seventeen-year-old Angie can’t wait to celebrate her eighteenth birth with her best friend Stacey. Angie is hoping that her Mom will get her a car for her birthday. Angie and Stacey are making plans for her birthday when they learn of these big spaceships hovering overhead. Everyone is scared and the TV tells everyone to stay indoors.

Angie’s and Stacey’s Mom’s make a run into town to stock up on food and to buy whatever supplies they may need as they have no idea how long they may have to stay indoors and keep the doors locked and not to let anyone in. Angie and Stacey are getting worried about their Moms when they don’t return in a couple of hours and are discussing what they should do when Angie’s ex-boyfriend John shows up on her door step to check on her. The party gets even bigger when her next door neighbor and his hot nephew show up on her door step checking on them as well.

Stacey’s Dad works at Area 51 so everyone figures if they can make it there they can find out more information on what is going on and why aliens have landed on Earth. Angie, Stacey, John, Max and his Uncle all head out to Area 51. The trip a head of them will a long and dangerous with the aliens out there. They will have to avoid them at all cost if they are going to make it out alive.

Arrived with all the aliens and the big spaceships hovering ove head will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what is going to happen next. It is filled with action and excitement on every page from beginning to end.

As with all of Kathy’s books you feel as if you are right there with all the characters seeing and feeling what they do. Arrived will have you racing through it and seeing it all in your head. With each and every book of Kathy’s that I have read they just seem to get better and better. The world building in Arrived is out of this world amazing. The ending left me wanting more but that is what a good book does. Good thing I have the next book World at War waiting for me.

I would highly recommend Arrived to all fans of science fiction, aliens and anyone who likes movies like World at War or Battle: Los Angeles.

It would be even better if the entire group realized that safety and keeping our country (and planet) safe is all of our responsibilities. I am a 20-year retired airman (or air-woman) and I don't understand today's attitude that the nation's defense is someone else's responsibility. So this group left us with more story left to tell though, the end was sufficient to satisfy this story, I definitely want more from this author on this story. I do hope the girls (who are women) in this story realize that we don't stay home in safety anymore. As a military member myself and a spouse of a military member (together 30 years), I can tell you that staying home is much more difficult than going. But I regress again! I very much enjoyed this story and hope for more of Angela and her group.

Kathy Dinisis Arrived is a fun, straightforward science fiction yarn. It’s a slice of teenage angst interrupted by an alien invasion; the action is exciting and the fast pace keeps the pages turning.

It’s a quick read, but given the price point, you certainly get great ‘words-per-buck’ value. And, as the first in the series, it does a nice job of setting up the alien adventures to come.

Unfortunately, Arrived is marred by some serious editing issues. The sentence structure is often oddly disjointed and there are problems with the punctuation throughout. This would be a four-star review if not for the amateurish editing.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, and I'm glad I did. An excellent sci fi tale, focusing on a teenage girl named Angie and her friend Stacey, as they are preparing for Angie's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, thats the day malevolent aliens invade. With the aliens swiftly taking over, Angie and Stacie are forced into hiding with their crazy, abducted by aliens neighbor and his attractive college student nephew. Angies ex-boyfriend John also shows up, creating even more tension is a world gone mad. The group has to avoid aliens that can kill with a touch and cause madness with lights they possess, trying to get to Stacey's father, an army general at Area 51, although it's not located where you think it is. In a harrowing chase, they witness the horrors of what the aliens are capable of, and when they get to their destination, they learn how bad the situation is. Will Max, the new love of Angie's life, be able to stay safe as he joins the army to resist the aliens? Will Angie and her friends be safe at Area 51? Well, we'll have to wait for book 2 to find out.
The plot moves along quickly, never bogging down. The relationships are realistic, and the teen angst and drama of their relationships is prortrayed effectively. I say this having just sent 2 daughters off to college, so I know how realistic it it.The world building is a little sparse, but fits the narrative, since the story is supposed to go by in a blur as they run to safety, no time to check out the scenery. This is very much a character driven story. The only issue I have, as other reviewers have mentioned, it the need for a little more thorough edit. Punctuation was a little spotty, but prosewise it flowed. I liked the story enough that i feel it still deserves a 5 star rating, editing notwithstanding.Don't let that niggling bit of criticism keep you from reading this book. With any luck, there will be lots of sequels and an audio version too!

I received a copy of this book for an honest review for my blog Hot Box Reviews!
I am not going to lie. When I was sent this book I was definitely skeptical about how I was going to like this book. I have never read an alien book in all my life.
Let me just tell you. This book gets 5 stars from me because it was written so great. It wasn't long and drawn out over the parts that needed to be there. The Love story in the book is absolutely amazing. This book was very fast pace and got right to the point. I love that about a book. The author spent just enough time on every detail but she didn't over write the characters are the situations they found themselves in. I am very excited about book 2.
My have learned my lesson about judging a book just because of what the cover looks like for sure. Aliens now have a new special place in my heart along with Angie, Stacy, John, and Max!!!!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Obviously an ARC is not the final polished version of a book. Therefore, this is not a nice shiny gem. It is a diamond in the rough. A little editing, some formatting, and a good proofread will reveal the next big book in Scifi! Heck, even with the roughness this story sparkles and I am very eager to see the polished version and read the next installment!!

While this story has good ideas, it lacks the something to take it further. I also encountered numerous spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book which ruined the magic a book holds, I believe. The story is good, the characters are a little 2D but it definately has promise and is a good quick read

I loved this book by Kathy Dinisi! This one is about aliens, love, teenagers and loss. Angie wants a car for her 18th birthday but what she really gets are aliens! This story will keep you reading until you have finished. At least it did with me, I had to finish reading until the end because it is a fast paced story The reason I am giving four stars is only because it still needs some editing.
