I loved this book. Harrison and Eva are going to rock your world with their scorching chemistry.
Harrison is in the police force. He serves justice . He is cold and distant with people until Eva comes along. Their relationship is wild and passionate but Eva wants something more than just a physical affair. But Harrison doesn't want to get too involved; he doesn't want to feel. But will his heart allow him the disconnect he desperately craves?
I loved the characters. We also see Ryder and Jade make appearances throughout the book. There were twists and turns, a crazy ex and passionate scenes. The writing was great and the book flowed easily.
If you loved the other books in the series, then you will adore Harrison's story.

Tormented (Scorpio Stinger #4) is Harrison and Eva's story and I'm beyond thrilled for this book! The main characters of the series is Ryder and Jade but getting to know the other characters, in this case Ryder's sister and Jade's brother, is GREAT plus and takes us deeper into lives of the MC and families connected.

Harrison Summers is a very broken man, a cop with vengeance eating away at his soul and a heart that has remained in the darkness for far to long and having no fear leads him on death missions because he doesn't feel he has anything to live for.

"One minute we breathed, we lived-the next we could be bleeding and dying, our lives ripped from us."

Eva Ryder is a dark-haired beauty who has been hurt and cheated and most definitely isn't looking to give her heart away to only have it broken again. When she meets Harrison the attraction is electrifying and undeniable, but she can sense how broken and dark he is and knows her heart will be in trouble. WOW, the heat and sexual encounters between these two is off-the-charts burn-up-your-ereader HOT HOT HOT!!

The relationship between Harrison and Eva is steamy, sexy, and I couldn't get enough of the two of them together but not everyone wants them together and will go to very dangerous and deadly lengths to keep them apart. With evil working to tear the two lovers apart Harrison and Ryder must work together to bring down the devil. In the end will Harrison and Eva find the love and happily ever after they both deserve together?

This series should definitely be read from the beginning and in order to get all the details and backgrounds of each character. Jani Kay has created an exciting MC series that stays true to the genre in every way.

Jani Kay gives us the story of Harrison and Eva....

This is Ryders new found little sister Eva, And Jades older brother... it is a mess because Ryder hates Harrison (who is a cop and on a mission to annihilate any MC groups) .... Jade and Ryder are deeply upset at the loss of their child that although was an accident, Harrison was involved. And then it gets even worse, as Eva is the ex fiancé of the senator who is obsessed with her, but also her very very wealthy father can't stand Harrison who will go out of his way to get him away from his daughter! so yeah... total mess!!!

Add to it that Harrison is a controlling (and i do mean beyond the normal and right into BDSM territory) man who wants Eva to submit to him, mind, body and soul... but not her heart. He wants nothing to do with it because he is heartless since his girlfriend and unborn child were murdered by gunfire from an MC....

Anyone of those and Eva should have just run away, changed her name, and had plastic surgery to change her appearance because this is a no win situation! But Eva... oh EVAAAAAAAA!!! the heart has a mind of its own.. and since hers was shattered by the cheating S.O.B. senator... it needs to be taken care of, even if that is done thru mind exploding sex and Harrisons own flavor of taking care of his submissive to be... it all translates into love for Eva.. and as much as she tries to not fall for him... it is impossible..

Harrison gets to get his head out of his Arse fast when fate and crazy men step in and make sure Eva is not going to be his...
Can he do it?? Will he admit that he has a heart and it belongs to Eva?? hmmmmmmmm.... read it and find out! lol

This is Eva and Harrison’s story. Harrison is fueled by rage and fury. He can be great guy but he can also be mean when he needs to be. He does not think he deserves anything good. Eva is his good. She makes him a better man. Eva is drawn to Harrison but is leery after her last relationship ended in disaster. With her ex bothering and her falling for Harrison more and more she just knows it’s going to end in heartbreak. Will she get Harrison to tell her why he is pushing her away? Will she be able to get him back? Is he worth the fight? Or will she go back to her ex? Can she handle the outcome of everyone’s actions and sacrifice herself if she has too? Who can she count on in the end?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

This was a very normal read for this series.
Harrison of course is already in love with Eva, but will it be to late for him to realize that? And get over the fact that her brother is the very person he is set on destroying. Eva, is all in with Harrison.

Eva's evil ex just doesn't want to go away. When he takes things to far Harrison and Eva's brother, the leader of the MC team us to save her.

A happily ever after in the making, and hopefully we will have lots of babies and weddings in the final book of the series.

I am afraid this author has down-played the trauma of a woman who has been raped. A similar situation in her previous Scorpio Stinger book was also portrayed, so why would you choose to continue with this. What disturbed me was how the victim was willing to have sex again even after her horrendous ordeal. This just did not make sense to me and on the whole I felt as if issues were put in when there wasn't a need for any, I am frankly quite disappointed.

Harrison has completely redeemed himself in Tormented. He has become such a better person. But then again Love will do that to you.
Although this book like the rest wasn't flowers and candy, there was hard times, weak, strong, happy, sad, and lots of love. There was the people interfering when they shouldn't have and stubbornness but it was a good book.
Karma doesn't always work out the way you think it will. Karma can also bring you good in life.

I love this whole series. Now i did not like Harrison at all. But this book just did it for me. It has always been Ryder for me, but now a little bit of my heart belongs to Harrison. Eva is a strong woman who loves a broken man.Things go wrong and its up to Harrison to fix it along with the Scorpio men. Loved it. Can't wait for the next Jani book.

Harrison has a death wish, the darkness that dwells within his soul requires the danger that he lives his life by day to day in order to pacify the hurt that he cultivates in his soul.
Tormented is the perfect title for this story because this is the state of flux which has held hostage the heart of Harrison since the fateful day his girlfriend and unborn child were killed in the crossfire of a biker gang dispute.
Broken by the events of that day, Harrison has found his way to cope, he refuses to care, he is at odds with his family and struggles to accept the fact that his sister Jade has found a love that eludes him with Ryder, a biker that he can barely tolerate.
But because of the relationship between Jade and Ryder, Harrison is introduced to Eva, and Ryder’s half-sister may have only just come into his life but it is Harrison’s life where she is destined to make the biggest impact.
Initially their connection is nothing more than a physical release, Harrison is not known for his ability to commit but Eva on the other hand is just out of a relationship, one that ended unpleasantly. Monogamy was obviously a step too far for her ex-fiancé and their relationship never made it down the aisle.
But is he really out of her life for good? Only time will tell.
No matter the connection between Eva and Harrison and no matter the boundaries that are in place, Eva can’t help but feel that the times she spend with Harrison is morphing into so much more than she had initially anticipated, as much as she is completely aware of the fact that she is falling for him but she also knows that he may never be able to return her feelings.
She knows his history and for the time being she is willing to accept that what they have may just be all that he is able to give her.
I loved Eva, she held nothing back, she lived life to the full and at her own pace, well until Harrison gets his hands on her and then all bets are off!!
I was delighted that Ryder and Jade featured a fair bit in the book and I liked the fact that Harrison was man enough to face up to the guilt he was carrying inside– whether it was warranted or not and apologise to Jade for his part in the tragic accident that had such devastating consequences for both her and Ryder.
He knows that moving forward he has to face Ryder and that in order to be a part of his sister’s life and to have a relationship with her twins once they arrive, he has to make amends. But is dating Ryder’s sister really the way to get on the man’s good side, especially since Ryder knows that Harrison has no plans on anything lasting forever?
Ryder puts up with Harrison and that is only because like we all know, he worships the ground that Jade walks on and if his woman needs him to play nice with her mean and moody brother, then he is more than happy to curb his rage, well most of the time anyway and as for his sister, she is a big girl and he keeps his feelings on the down-low as this whole sibling relationship stuff is brand new to him, but what will this alpha big bro do when things end up on the very wrong side of dangerous?
But anyway enough about my favourite topic, Ryder and back to the magnificent Harrison.
I say magnificent and I mean it, he is a mean SOB but he has a heart that is desperate to heal and his band aid has arrived in the shape of the beautiful Eva.
The introspective contemplation that he has to undergo is no small feat, he has so many demons inside that he is only ever calm when he is with Eva, she sooths his soul and gives him a glimpse of what a normal life could be for him, if he would only cut himself some slack.
Can he change?
Who knows?
It’s all well and good knowing what you have to do but doing it is a tough call. He has to shape up or ship out, and since giving her up is not an option … this mighty man is has reached his crossroads.
But what happens when Eva’s past comes back into play?
What is a girl to do when the one man you wish you could get to leave you alone, just won’t let you move on and moreover what the heck is the man that loves her going to do when the thought of losing her becomes all too real?
When the pieces all fall into place and the danger become all too prevalent, can they all pull together to resolve a situation that places more than one life in danger?
Can Harrison see Ryder and the MC for who they really are and finally accept that he might just have judged a book by its cover when he tarred all the guys with his brush of hate!
I could rabbit on and on forever about not only this book but these characters and the series as a whole but you don’t need to hear or read me wax lyrical about a book that I absolutely loved, from a series that I adore…YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK ( and the series) !!!!!!

Tortured. Conflicted. Damaged. Broken.

These are all perfect descriptors of what Harrison has become after he lost the love of his life and their unborn child at the hand of a group of bikers. Since that day, Harrison has battled his rage and vowed revenge on any biker, classifying them all as dangerous and despicable people who have no redeeming qualities.

Harrison is his own worst enemy because his hardened heart keeps him from moving on and giving his heart to anyone else. The man who prides himself on control and requires full submission from his sexual partners will share his body with them, but he’ll never give them any other part because besides his need for a release, he has no other feelings but pain and anger.

Harrison needs someone to save him from himself and help him to move forward instead of staying in the past, but there aren’t many women strong enough to endure his controlling ways nor his hot/cold demeanor, and regardless of how much Eva loves the way Harrison gets her to submit to his every sexual command, she doesn’t know if Harrison can be saved, or if she even wants to take responsibility for that arduous task after dealing with her jerk of an ex and the damage he did to her.

Can a person so devastatedly broken be fixed?

Can a man who hasn’t cared about anything in such a long time learn to care with the help of the right woman?

Can a couple who has only ever given each other their bodies commit to more?

These are the questions that Jani Kay answers in Tormented, and because they’re complicated issues, Kay takes her time in offering the solutions that her readers want because Harrison will have to seek his own absolution before he can fully give himself to Eva and Eva might not be able to wait as long as Harrison needs.

Harrison and Eva’s story is a dark and volatile journey that takes them both to hell and back in more ways than one. They experience highs and lows throughout their relationship, and they both wrestle with their true feelings for one another and what that means for their future. Harrison needs to get out of his head and realize that his past doesn't have to define his relationships/feelings in the present and no one else can accomplish that feat except Harrison, and once he does, he’ll be truly free to explore what he feels for Eva, but that’s a difficult step for him – one he might not be ready or able to take.

Another Brilliant read from Jani Kay

After reading the box set I dove straight into this and although it isn't primarily a MC read, Harrison is the brother or Jade who is in the previous books with Ryder VP of the Scorpio Stingers and Eva is Ryder's sister, definitely keeping it in the family, it still however has all the angst and drama you would expect from an MC read.

I didn't like Harrison, yes he is an alpha dominant male which I normally like but I couldn't warm to him maybe because of what I had read about him in the previous books but he did eventually grow on me, mostly at the end but it was there.

Its hot! Harrison likes control and bdsm so lots of action in that department.

All the characters from the previous books make an appearance at some point so I still got to see my favorite characters although I liked Eva as the heroin in this.

The angst is off the charts Jani Kay sure know how to keep you on your toes and I loved it can't get enough of this series.

I absolutely loved this series... until #3 Gods & Monsters; somehow I didn't like that one very much and maybe that's why Tormented was on my to-read- shelf for a while? Anyway, I've finally read it and I'm glad I did, because I really liked it. Although the beginning was confusing, because -raar maar waar- I've seem to be forgotten a lot about the previous books? For instance: I couldn't remember ever reading about Harrison? Some characters from previous books (especially Ryder and Jade) made an appearance in this book as well. However this story was mainly about Harrison and Eva. I loved the double POV (I always do!); lots of sizzzling chemistry and hawt sex, some kidnapping, secrets & abuse and a HEA. I loved it!
I was 'under pressure' because of challenges (LOL!) otherwise I'd have absolutely re-read the first books in this series! Because when I've first read them, I really really liked them... And now it turned out I didn't remember much. Maar... helaas, geen tijd.

I have loved Harrison since the beginning, that's not say I didn't want to slap him upside the head a few times, but he was so broken I couldn't help loving him. Jani Kaye has once again written a book with hot a** alpha male who is broken and seems beyond saving and a strong woman in Eva.

This is a relationship doomed from the start. The sex is hot and Eva wants more but Harrison just doesn't know how to give her more and doesn't even believe he can. Eva doesn't want to love Harrison but she does and knows he will be the only one for her. But there are outside influences at work to keep them apart. Will Harrison realize that Eva is the one? Can Eva save his tormented soul? Will the outside influences win? Can Ryder and Harrison work together? Will the Senator steal Eva away forever?

This is a fantastic book! Jani Kaye has once again written a book that takes you through a whole gauntlet of emotions. The story and characters are so well developed that you feel like a part of their lives. I can't wait to see what Jani Kaye has in store for us next!

Jani Kay is one author that I can’t resist. I salivate the minute I see one of her books. She is truly an outstanding writer. All of the Scorpio Stinger Books deliver.
Tormented is beyond worth the time you spend reading it.
Harrison is full of revenge and anger. Believing he is not worthy of love. He thrives on rage and doing the right thing, this is what drives him. Until his enemy’s sister walks in his life and turns him upside down. Not realizing what is happening sweet sarcastic Eva takes him on a ride of his life. Eva see Harrison for what inside and not for what he shows everyone. She refuses to give up on him even when he has given up on his self.
This is one heart stopping book. Just when you think your heart can’t break anymore Jani is going to take that heart break one step further! This one had me yelling and screaming one minute and the next I was about to cry. When a book can do this you know it going on you favorites list! I highly recommend all of the Scorpio Stinger, Tormented just adds that much more to the recommendation.

2 stars...ehhh this was SO disappointing. SPOILERS AHEAD, you are warned!! No bigger fan of the Ryder and Jade stories...they are still to this day one of my favorite couples but these 2..... :/







First, as much as the sex was hot, there was way too much of it and not enough of storyline with them outside the bedroom. The fact of what happened to her while being kidnapped with that Nolan and what he did to her, sorry, big fat turn-off....I didn't see the need for it to go as far as it went. Then as soon as she back with Harrison...sex on the brain....just NO esp after what you just went through. The ending with the kidnapping, ruined the book, the nail in the coffin. As much as I loved the very end....ehhhhh just was a little too late for me:( Very disappointed with Eva and Harrison's story

This one is dark. Harrison Summers is dark. His mind, his heart and his soul but he loves Eva Ryder with all three. The problem is...he doesn't know it. Bad stuff happens to both Eva and Harrison; will their love come out intact or will they be driven apart? Sorry no spoilers here and no cliffhangers...thank god.
I love the commanding writing style of Jani Kay. I really love her alpha men (bikers & cops) and their kickass ladies.

I've read the whole series to date but nearly passed over this book as I didn't like Harrison and found him very cold. I'm so glad I went back to it as I really enjoyed the story of Eva and Harrison.

I did think Eva's father needed to grovel some more after sending his only daughter into such danger, he should have been mortified!

WANT MORE MC

I like that we are learning more about the other characters but I wish it was more about the MC characters. The author keeps writing that the series is Jade and Ryder's story but they have barely been in the last two books. Hopefully we get back to them and the brothers soon.

Even while disappointed I would still say it is a decent series.

I just want to start off by saying that Jani Kay's covers for this series are hot - hot - hot! I was surprised how much I enjoyed Harrison and Eva's story as Harrison hasn't exactly been my favorite but the more I read the more I started to embrace Harrison and by the end I was a definite fan and I especially liked Harrison and Eva's sexy scenes - K-I-N-K-Y - Kinky!!!! I also think that it took a strong woman like Eva to help a man like Harrison open back up his heart and learn to love and be loved again. Great series and characters and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

I’m a sucker for an MC book and when this one came across me in my blogging travels, well I wasted no time signing up for it. Sometimes a girl needs a bit of biker in her life.

On second thought, maybe it’s just me. But whatever.

The blurb jumped out at me and the cover caught my attention (which covers don’t honestly do much. I’m the blurb chick). What drew me in even more was that while this is technically an MC series, this book held the sister of a member of the MC and a cop.

And not just any officer either, but one drenched in darkness. I was sold that quickly. Stories that feature characters that have lived through unspeakable things and have to learn how to come out the other side, I’m usually sold on pretty quickly. As was the case here.

What I learned as I started reading was there was a lot more with this couple that while mentioned in this book in various instances throughout, I knew nothing about. I hadn’t experienced the full effect of their first meeting or how they came to be what and where they are when this one starts.

So if you’re like me and never picked up a Jani Kay book (well, this series anyway), stop now and go back. You’re gonna want the background. I made due without it, but now that I’m done this one, I am going back because not only do I want more Harrison and Eva, but I want Ryder and Jade too. Captivating characters they were during their time in this book.

I’m not going to spoil anything for anyone that hasn’t experienced this series or this book before now, but I will say that my introduction here to both Eva and Harrison gave me enough to connect to them. They had both been through some pretty painful things in their lives before meeting (Harrison especially) and I felt that their reactions in situations had merit. It read very real to me in that regard. So connecting to them made me able to connect to the feelings that were building between them. Or at least feelings that were being expanded on.

You could see Harrison’s struggle with the realization that Eva just wasn’t some lay. She wasn’t like any of the women he’d been with previously (after suffering the loss of another) but he cared despite it. He couldn’t explain what the hell was happening to him (which I gotta admit, was kind of funny at times because even the people around him could see what was going on here when he didn’t) and made me that much more invested in the moment where the lightbulb did go off.

When he stepped away from the darkness that he had lived his life in and walked into the light that is Eva for him. And man did I get the payoff that way.

The suspense in this was written very well, at least to start. The situation Eva finds herself in and the pain that comes from it as its happening, god. My heart hurt. I wanted to hurt someone. I think in a way because I wanted things to work out for these two that I may have become a whole lot like Harrison while reading.

I wanted more shown in terms of the resolution, how it all played out. I felt that at least in the action areas there, it could have been drawn out just a tiny bit more, to make it seem a little more believable, but at the end of the day, I do believe the bad guy here met the proper end. He got what was coming to him and for this reader, that’s a payoff besides the romance that I was after.

The love scenes are steamy, so if you’re in it for the heat, this one definitely has it.

Along with a pretty concrete story of coming to grips with moving on from a dark incident in your life, forgiving those you think caused or wronged you and living your life happily, instead of on the edge just waiting for death.

This read as more than just your typical MC style book and I’m glad that it did.

HARRISON & EVA!! My favorite book in this series so far! I honestly was rooting for these two from page one... the past can get in the way of your future but with True Love everything heals. Sometimes your past tries to effect your future but with HARRISON as your man nothing can get to you!!
