now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.

The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.

i would highly recommend this author and this book.

Thought I'd try reading something different than my usual. This was a very easy read, it's obviously written for young teens. I'd say 12-14 and the writing reflects that.

Still, the story line is interesting enough for me to probably have a quick read of the rest of the series.

Exciting & very good witch detail

Besides this book seem to have a few dull spots, it was exciting, had suspense, and action. I love the detail about the witches and their magic.

Shallow

Not very interested from start to finish. I could not grasp why any adult would enjoy this book but I could see it being great for a teenager with a wandering mind.

A TERRIFIC WITCH BOOK..
I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW
I must admit that I started a couple of times before I got hooked on the story. But I bet you will get hooked to if you give if a chance. As Ariel (Ethan's daughter) faced her fathers announcement of the lost of another job, which she assured him he would find another. For her 18 th Birthday she tells him she wans to go for a short visit to Shadow Grove to visit where she, her father , and his father were born and her grandfather still lived, he said no, but she told him she would go alone. He was about to give in when a call came in, his father was dead....they went back for two weeks, he said. Strange things begin happening that Ariel feels automatically that she should keep her father not knowing what is going on...even when it becomes dangerous. As she finds out more she looks even harder for more information, keeping what she is told to keep quite, quite, and excepting help offered only after thinking about it and talking to Isaac (who she will keep secret all though this book). I will love to find out more about her mother ( I'm guessing some things about her that I can't wait to find out if I'm right or wrong...including who she might really be -that this book doesn't tell ). There will be attempts on her, an attempt on her father and still she will want to stay. When she finally tells him she is staying, he will decide to stay too, making her very happy. But the ending makes me have more questions about Orin and the coven queen. Who are they really? Who are they to Ariel? Why are both so concerned about Ariel? Why does Ariel's decisions something they feel they must discuss? I LOVE THE WAY THAT IT IS SUCH A SHORT TIME , THE STORY IS FAST MOVING BUT INFORMATION SEEMS TO JUST BE LEAKED OUT. GREAT
