M Freeman has been a star pupil at the Lawless School for criminal masterminds. She's been a top agent at the Fulbright Academy for extreme law enforcement. Now she finds herself in a situation she never, ever a normal life!
If M thinks danger is a thing of the past, however, she couldn't be more wrong. Because before she left her old life behind her, she learned a dangerous secret -- one that's made her a target. Now, with the forces of Lawless and the Fulbrights on the verge of open war, she has no choice but to rely on a ragtag team of outcasts, misfits, and troublemakers.
On their own, they don't amount to much. But under M's leadership, they might just become a force to change the world.
The fast-paced, unpredictable conclusion to the Lawless series is sure to appeal to fans of Spy School and The School for Good and Evil .
Well, we finished the series but we were still mostly confused, ha. Everyone around M changed sides so many times we couldn't keep track of who was double- or triple- or quadruple-crossing who. A lot of potential for the series, but unfortunately it was too convoluted and the ending was underwhelming.
I wish this series went on a different path. There was a lot of promise with the premise of a school for criminals. I agree with the previous review that asked for more adventures with the characters. I'd read more about the people in the epilogue. In a perfect world, I'd also ask for more deep dives into the backgrounds and stories of the passing characters (Ronins, especially).

I had a hard time getting into and getting through this one. Maybe it’s because it has been so long since I read the first two books. Whatever the reason, it wasn’t my favorite, but at least I know how the trilogy ends-or does it? Dun, dun, dun!
The series lawless will be missed as what it is. I will miss all those fun characters and especially all those confusing moment when you don’t know who’s good and who’s bad. And all those educating facts in a wild adventure for justice.
“The sun is out and the world is happy. So why do I feel like it’s all going to fall apart?” TW: Mild violence; Mild graphic scenes M discovers the hidden secret of the two schools and with her group of outcasts and misfits finally stands up to the mysterious leader of Fulbright Academy. The answers were finally given from the first two books, and all the loose ends were tied off. However, it really pushed the limits of reality, which it didn't before. Yes it's a fiction book but it started out believable and it slowly got less and less realistic. Every character in this book needs therapy.
Good conclusion to a fun series. I will admit that the reveal of who was John Doe (main villain) bothered me a little. It seemed too far-fetched for a series that carefully walked the line between science fiction and actual possible science-y outcomes. That being said, I will miss stories with M Freeman.
